Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Grade A gift package
{Basic security completed!}
{Basic agricultural and livestock capacity completed!}
{Basic storage completed!}
{Basic energy system completed!}
{Basic combat deployment: 50% completed!}
Ivy stared at the glowing system interface, her mouth slightly open in astonishment as notification after notification appeared before her eyes.
Her heartbeat quickened.
{Reward....A-grade Gift Pack}
{Would you like to check your gift package, Host?}
"Sure! Of course!" Ivy replied immediately, her voice brimming with excitement. Her eyes sparkled, anticipation rising in her chest like a tide she couldn’t hold back.
Ding!
{Congratulations! Base security has increased by 100%.}
Ivy’s breath caught.
{Reward: Precision Cross-Bomb Tower equipped with both short- and long-range ammunition... 200 baskets each.}
Her pupils dilated in shock.
{Reward: State-of-the-art, high-performance armored vehicle with 1,000 tons of fuel.} freeweɓnovel.cѳm
For a moment, Ivy simply stood there, frozen....her mind struggling to process the magnitude of what she had just received.
"Are you... are you kidding me right now, System?!" she finally exclaimed, her voice trembling with disbelief. Her hands clenched slightly at her sides, as though she needed something solid to anchor herself to reality.
{You earned it, Host.}
Before she could even gather her thoughts, a low, mechanical hum filled the air making Ivy’s head snap up.
Right before her eyes, the electrical barbed wire surrounding the base began to transform. The metal twisted and expanded, rising higher and higher until it stood twice its original height and just as thick while sparks of electricity crackled along its surface.
The once-simple barrier now exuded an imposing, almost terrifying presence, radiating a level of security that made Ivy’s chest tighten with relief.
"This... this is insane..." she whispered under her breath, her voice barely audible.
Then the ground trembled.
A heavy rumble echoed from above the bunker.
Ivy instinctively stepped back, her eyes widening as a massive structure began to rise....metal plates unfolding and locking into place with deafening precision.
A towering bomb turret emerged, positioning itself directly above her bunker.
Its sleek body gleamed under the dim light, its barrels adjusting with chilling accuracy.
Ivy’s mouth fell open even wider, her mind going completely blank.
"A... a live bomb turret...?" she breathed, almost afraid to say it out loud, as if speaking might make it disappear.
But it didn’t.
It stood there....real, powerful, and entirely hers.
At that moment, another notification flickered.
Her inventory expanded.
Fuel reserves....immense and almost unbelievable were now stored within her system.
A low, mechanical hum rippled through the air as the space before Ivy’s bunker distorted slightly, like reality itself was being bent and reshaped.
With a heavy, ground-shaking presence, the armored vehicle materialized.
The impact alone made the earth tremble beneath her feet.
It was massive.
At least twice the size of a standard military transport, the vehicle stood like a steel beast forged specifically for the apocalypse....cold, imposing, and utterly indestructible.
“Whoa...” Ivy breathed out, her voice filled with pure awe as she slowly stepped closer.
Her eyes roamed over its body, taking in every detail.
The wheels were monstrous.
Reinforced with thick, jagged treads and partially covered with armored shields, they looked capable of crushing debris, slicing through obstacles, and running over small-sized monsters... or even compact vehicles without slowing down in the slightest.
“This thing is insane...” she murmured, reaching out to touch its surface.
Without hesitation, Ivy moved to the side and climbed in.
In her past life, she had ridden in an armored vehicle before....once, maybe three times... she wasn’t entirely sure anymore.
Back then, she and her children had been rescued by a small survival group. They had stayed with them for about a month, learning how to fight, how to survive... how not to die.
A bitter smile tugged at her lips.
Not until her husband found them.
And because she had still been blinded by love back then....pathetically clinging to something that was already rotten....she had abandoned everything. Her training. Her safety.
And followed him back.
Back to the hell he called a home.
Her fingers tightened slightly.
“Never again...” she whispered under her breath, her voice cold this time.
Although she had driven an armored vehicle before, it had never been anything like this.
This... this was on a completely different level.
Still, she took a steady breath and sat in the driver’s seat.
Ding!

“This is... massive...” Ivy thought, her heart racing.
She placed her hands on the controls..though they didn’t look like anything she had seen before and pressed her foot lightly against the brake.
The vehicle moved making her eyes widened.
Even though she didn’t fully understand how to operate it, instructions flowed directly into her mind through the system interface, guiding her every movement with eerie precision.
It felt... natural.
“What a gem...” she whispered, a smile slowly spreading across her face.
