Ivy cursed aloud, her fist slamming hard against the sofa.
Pain shot through her knuckles but she didn’t care.
“I was such a fool...”
Her chest rose and fell rapidly as anger burned through her veins.
Soon...she allowed herself to forget about everything as the more she think about it, the more upset she is.
Instead of thinking...she decided to eat instead. Prepared a homemade burger and some fried chicken which she devoured with cold juice.
By the time she was done and rested enough, Ivy stepped out of her bomb shelter, her heart racing but her eyes steady
Her gaze swept across the area.
The steel fence, spring well.
The small structures she had built.
Basic survival... secured but it wasn’t enough.
She needed more.
Defense, power, control.

Her gaze shifted towards her livestock.
Although she had already built simple cages for her chickens, ducks, and sheep, Ivy knew they weren’t strong enough.
She had considered storing them in her system but her system doesn’t allow living creatures inside.
Unless...
They originated from the system itself.
Or were low-intelligence creatures that could only survive briefly before being converted into stored resources.
“That won’t work...” she sighed. "
Since she couldn’t sleep anyway, Ivy grabbed her tools and got to work.
Wood, nails and hammer.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Her enhanced strength made the process faster than expected.
Before long....she was done.
Separate cages for the chickens.
Separate ones for the ducks.
And a properly structured pen for the sheep, built according to system guidance.
Ivy placed her hands on her waist, admiring her work with a satisfied smile as the animals slowly moved into their new enclosures.

“YES!” Ivy shouted excitedly, unable to hold back her joy.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement.
Her gaze shifted toward the chickens making her eyes widen open in shock.
“They’re already laying eggs...?”
The eggs were huge.
Almost the size of hockey balls promting a grin spread across her face.
“Nice...”
Next on her list was the pond.
She remembered the fish and shrimp she had stored earlier.
Without hesitation, Ivy began digging just beside the apple tree.
Thanks to her enhanced strength, the process was quick and efficient.
She created a circular pond, dividing it into two sections.
“The fish might eat the shrimp...” she muttered. “Better to separate them.”
Once done, she connected the pond to the underground water source the spring well.
Water filled the space naturally afterwhich Ivy released the fish and the shrimps.

“Oh yeah!” Ivy laughed, clenching her fists excitedly. “All I need to do is build and the system rewards me!”

After a while , her expression soon turned serious.
She looked around once more.
“I have survival covered...” she murmured.
“But defense... isn’t enough.”
From her past life, she had learned something important:
A base without defence was just a trap waiting to be broken.
Without hesitation, Ivy stepped outside her base.
Grabbing her tools again, she began digging.
One pit.
Two.....three until ten traps surrounded her base at key entry points
She stood there, breathing heavily, staring at the pits.
“All that’s left...” she murmured, a slow smile forming, “is for the system to upgrade them.”

Her eyes lit up instantly.

Curious, Ivy walked toward the nearest trap.
She looked down and her breath caught.
Sharp metallic spikes filled the pit, pointing upward like deadly fangs.
The depth...
Far deeper than she had dug.
From the surface, the trap looked small.
But inside...it was massive.
Large enough to trap dozens....no, even hundreds of enemies.
Humans.
Monsters.
Anything.
She moved to another trap and blinked in surprise.
“Bees...?”
A swarm buzzed violently inside the pit, yet none flew out.
They stayed contained,lethal and controlled.
Before she could fully process it....
