Chapter 241: Wish granted (3)
"Jane, can I speak to you alone for a moment? It is urgent," said Aurora. There wasn’t any more time to waste now that she was leaving with Vincent tomorrow to deal with the Hamiltons and see Regina.
"Okay. Cherry, can you please watch over her for me," Jane handed off Tara to her.
"Of course. They’re both so cute I just want to keep dressing them up," Cherry opened her arms wide for Tara to come to her.
"You and Victor should have a child then," Derek threw out an idea. It was time everyone in their group started their own little family. They weren’t getting any younger. "Get married first."
"I think Vincent should be the one to have a child before I do. Cherry and I are now starting our relationship but Vincent and Aurora have history. Work hard brother," Victor patted the back of Vincent’s arm.
"I wouldn’t have to work hard if all of you would stop visiting me. Make your home be the place for group talks instead of mine, brother," Vincent smacked behind Victor’s arms harshly.
"I get it. I won’t visit your home anymore you brute. A year ago you were asking me to stay with you," Victor said, rubbing the back of his arms to soothe the pain.
"That was when I did not have my woman leaving with me. You’ll understand when your relationship with Cherry becomes serious. In fact, I’ll help you understand by sending someone to your door every hour," said Vincent.
"How are you so evil," the other three muttered.
Meanwhile, Aurora and Jane walked over to a secluded area where they would be alone for a while.
"I’m going to grant your wish now," Aurora informed Jane. Under a full moon, it would be more powerful. "Are you ready?"
Jane wasn’t expecting Aurora to grant her wish to carry a child at a time like this. Still, she was glad it was happening. "Yes, what do I need to do?"
"Hold my hands," Aurora held out both her hands for Jane to take. "Think about nothing else but what you wish for."
Jane nodded her head and then placed her hands in Aurora’s own as she was instructed.
"Once I start you cannot remove your hands or the wish will fail and I will not be able to do it until many years have passed. This is a rare moment," Aurora reminded Jane. She did not have countless wishes to waste which was why Minnie kept her around waiting for the moment.
"I would never let go." Jane had waited too long for this moment to let it pass by. This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment many other women like herself wished they could have.
She could hardly wait to carry her own child and experience what it was like to have life growing inside.
Aurora’s blue eyes glowed in the darkness, followed shortly by strands of her hair starting to emit light which moved up to cover the rest of her hair.
Jane stared in awe at the sight before her. "Aurora?" She called after realizing Aurora was no longer blinking. "She can’t hear me," she concluded after time had passed but Aurora had not answered her.
It remained like this for a while until Aurora finally spoke. "Tell this lonely tree what is your wish?"
"I wish to be able to conceive my own child," Jane stated her wish. She wondered if this was the ancient tree Aurora previously mentioned speaking to her or Aurora herself.
"On this night, I shall grant your wish," Aurora replied.
Slowly, the glow in her eyes and hair faded until she was back to normal. Aurora blinked twice, waking up from the trance she was in. She released Jane’s hands to grip her chest as a familiar pain stirred there for a moment. "I need to sit," she fell to the ground."
"Are you okay?" Jane sat down with Aurora. She wasn’t aware that granting a wish would cause Aurora to be in pain. It was something to be mentioned first.
"I am. It just hurts a bit every time I do it," Aurora took deep breaths to help the feeling go away faster. "Are you alright, Jane?"
"Yes. I don’t feel any different."
"Even so, it was granted, therefore it should still work. It fixed whatever was stopping you from having a child so the next time you and Derek have sex be on the lookout to welcome a child. Now that the wish is gone, I won’t be able to grant the wish Minnie wants," Aurora chuckled. freewёbnoνel.com
Minnie could only now try to use a witch to force a wish out of her but it would not be efficient as the true wish had gone to Jane.
"Aurora, if you can grant a wish so easily, why are they killing children?" Jane asked. It seemed so simple when she watched Aurora do it.
"Because I resisted giving them what they wanted even though I was not in complete control of my body. They used the help of a witch to force it out of me and a witch would need a lot of sacrifices to pull a wish out of me. Then, they made me forget who I was."
What Aurora experienced each time they did it was ten times more painful than what she just felt with Jane. The pain was like someone had ripped you open and taken something from inside your body.
"Oh no," Aurora muttered.
"What do you think you are doing Aurora?" Vincent asked, with his hands in his pockets. He felt a sting of pain in his chest and knew it came from Aurora because of their connection.
"It is my fault, Vincent. She granted my wish to have a child," Jane stood up to defend Aurora.
"Relax Jane. I am not going to crucify her for doing it but I wished someone didn’t forget how painful it could be sometimes," Vincent stooped down to Aurora’s level to hold her hand. "Those two humans are worried about you, Jane. Go now."
