Chapter 213: Dear uncle (4)

Graham enjoyed the lack of a heartbeat from Vincent. "I had to patiently wait for your father to meet his end for me to become the alpha and then you showed up. It’s your fault you know. I knew when you were younger you would be trouble so I never liked you. I was right not to in the end."

"Your grandfather used to tell your father how great it is to be the leader. He made it sound so sweet how could I not want it? He had always liked your father more than me. I was the outcast in the family but don’t get me wrong, I have always loved my brother and vice versa. He was kind but he had what I wanted."

Graham listened outside the door to ensure no one was eavesdropping on him. When there wasn’t anyone there he went to sit on the bed. He patted Vincent’s hand and said, "Sleep well. I will take care of everything here. I will take care of the girl who owes me the debt, all your loyal people, the humans, and the girl you brought here. I will kill all of them."

Graham could already picture himself sitting on a throne he would have built when he demolishes Vincent’s home. There would be no need for this place when Vincent would not be here for it. "Unless I take it for myself but he has such poor taste. I can probably build my throne on top of it."

"So much planning to do with you gone. Why didn’t you give me a heads up so I would be more prepared?" Graham stood up, done with his talk with Vincent. He still did not care for his nephew to give him a proper send-off. "I have to go meet with those bloodsuckers to share the news. At this point, I should break off our partnership."

Graham no longer felt like holding up his end of the deal. If he allowed the vampires to enter the community there was no doubt in his mind they would push him out of his seat and take over. With the community in their hands, they would have no use for him.

’I should use the same poison I received against them. Get rid of the vampire royals so I would never have to fight against them,’ Graham grinned as he concocted a plan to get rid of them.

"I will be back, Vincent," Graham said.

He wasn’t going to wait for the vampires to make their move to enter the community to try poisoning them. He would propose having a feast and poison their food.

Graham closed Vincent’s door behind him, feeling on cloud nine. He would send his men after Aurora to drag her back to the community.

"Victor? Why didn’t you go up to see your brother? I went to pay my respects. I hope you don’t mind that I went alone. Do you need a hug?" Graham spread his arms wide open for Victor to come to him.

"No, I want to be alone," Victor replied. He was sitting in a chair with a cup of alcohol in his hand. He was using alcohol to calm down his anger toward Vincent. "I’m going to stay here for the rest of the night. We’re going to hunt down the person responsible and torture them," he looked at Graham.

Graham didn’t like the dangerous vibe in the room all of a sudden. ’So he thinks I’m behind this,’ he realized. Graham liked Victor as if he were his son but he loved the idea of being the leader more.

"I hope you find the person soon but be careful. Anyone who pulls off something like this has to be extremely dangerous. I don’t wish for anything to happen to you, son," Graham gave him a warning.

Either Victor stopped with his suspicion or follow right behind Vincent in death.

"Thank you for the advice uncle," Victor smiled, holding up his glass of alcohol. "I will be careful. I will see you later."

"Goodbye son," Graham left the home.

Derek went to the window to watch Graham leave the property before going upstairs to take the ring off of Vincent.

"Are you going to give me a proper explanation of what is happening now? Why the hell did none of you think to inform me that my brother was fine this entire time? Do you have any idea how much of a nightmare this has been for me?" Victor argued as they walked up the stairs. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

"Vincent believed it would be more convincing to Graham if you weren’t in on the plan. He was right in the end. I apologize for what you had to go through these past hours but it was needed. We need you to do one last thing for us," Derek opened Vincent’s door and went inside.

Although Vincent was said to be alive Victor did not like the way his brother looked on the bed. His heartbeat could not be heard, under his eyes were dark circles, and his body looked thinner.

"This spell is something else," Derek muttered before taking off the ring they were using. "Witches are more dangerous than we honestly think," he said looking at how such a tiny thing could make someone look dead.

"What does the ring have to do with it?" Victor asked as he had no idea what the ring was needed for. It was only after a few minutes did he notice Vincent’s body slowly starting to look healthy again. "You used a spell on the ring to make him look dead."

"Yup. It was pretty expensive but that has nothing to do with me. Your brother is the one who paid for it. We should burn this little thing or give it back to those witches for them to destroy. What if someone forgets to take off the ring and the person wearing it remains in this state forever?"

"Then I would find a way to kill you," Vincent sat up stretching his body to shake off the eerie feeling he got from wearing the ring. "Hello brother. Smack me if you wish. I deserve it for using you."

"What’s the point when you enjoy pain? Just tell me what else you need me to do and if you are alright, where has Aurora gone," the anger Victor felt went away once he saw that Vincent truly was alright. It made sense that Vincent would use him to make it more believable.

"She has gone to finish off a part of our plan and will be back soon. Hopefully. Graham is going to be leaving the community soon to meet up with vampires. Derek and I will follow him with a group of men but we have a problem with how many eyes there are on my home. Your job is to get rid of them," said Vincent.

"How on earth am I supposed to get rid of a crowd of people mourning the loss of their beloved alpha? Why can’t I get an easier job? Let Derek do that I go with you-"

"Hell no!" Derek interrupted Victor. "I would rather fight vampires than go against those people out there. They are going to tear apart whoever steps out of this house for information. I know Graham must have gone out there fighting. Victor is the best option."

"You really are Victor. Just distract them for a couple of minutes for me to get away. I don’t want anyone informing Graham that they have seen me before he leaves the community. I will make it up to you when I return. I still have your birthday gift to give you. How about I double it?" Vincent proposed it as a way to bribe Victor.

"Given how long it has taken you to give me the gift, double the gift just means double the time to receive it. If time were an issue for us I would deny this but fine. However, you must triple the gifts and be nice to me for an entire day. Deal?" Victor held out his hand for Vincent to shake. "Going once."

"Deal?" Vincent shook Victor’s hand agreeing to the conditions. "It hurts my heart for you to make such a deal. I am always kind to you as an older brother. Better than most brothers."

"You aren’t!" Victor disagreed.

"Would you rather me be like our uncle who killed his own brother?"

"Good point," Victor backed down. "Hey hey! Can the two of you give me a warning when you are going to strip?" He covered his eyes.

"We have to change quickly and follow after Graham so start thinking of how you are going to get rid of the crowd. Why on earth are you covering your eyes? My body is worth looking at," Derek stood proud in his undergarments.

"Shut up," Vincent threw his shirt at Derek’s head. "Save that crap for Jane. Go now Victor or we might miss when Graham leaves." frёewebnoѵēl.com

"Okay but you have to return safe or I will come out there to drag you back here myself," Victor kept his eyes closed while walking back to reach the door. "I think the both of you have ruined my eyes."
