Chapter 160: Angry (2)

"When will you people learn to butt out of other people’s relationships? Honestly, the most annoying thing to heat was the constant judgment of Vincent being close to someone who is not a werewolf but still a part of Artemis. Artemis the moon goddess in case you forgot," Aurora ranted for a moment. How much longer were they planning on being angry that Vincent wasn’t with a werewolf? It wasn’t her fault he was stuck on her for so long.

"You are one of Artemis’s followers and that’s all. We only care about the goddess herself. I’m going to ruin that pretty face of yours for costing me a lot of money."

"I was really trying not to kill anyone because all fingers would point at me but I have a feeling they’ll still blame me for this. Let’s try this again," Aurora said whilst making her blades with black fire appear again. She messed it up the first time but she wasn’t going to do it again. As he charged at her, Aurora aimed the swords at his heart to end him one time.

"Would you look at that," she smiled, seeing the fire spread from where the blade pierced him and consumed the man. Aurora made more blades appear as her defense and opened the door she previously locked to look for the necklace. "They’re working now."

"Hello boys," she greeted three men who had been unable to open the door after hearing the commotion.

The commotion caused them to speed up their plans and the ride to take her outside the community was outside waiting for Aurora only. They were going to kill Cherry so she wouldn’t be able to identify them in the future.

"Why is there a freaking tree in my home?" The leader of the kidnappers asked upon seeing the damage. He had not been on the outside to see what caused the loud noise and had sent some of his men to inspect it but they hadn’t returned as yet. He looked at the burnt dead body of one of the men employed. "Bunch of useless idiots."

"I agree with that statement. Hopefully, you can answer what happened to the necklace I was wearing? I need it back so that I can get the heck out of here. I won’t hurt you if you cooperate," Aurora said which made the men laugh.

"I heard you almost killed Marge and you took out that idiot there. You’re much more pricey than what they are offering and more interesting than I thought."

"Thank you. I accept the compliment but can we go back to figuring out which one of you took the necklace? That’s all I am still here for," Aurora motioned their hands for them to speed up.

The night was young and she wasn’t looking to spend her time back being kidnapped. She wanted the vampire situation to be over with and go back to the party for Victor.

The leader of the kidnappers grinned, liking the fire in Aurora but he didn’t have time to waste here conversing with her. The noise with the tree had attracted too much attention and now he had to get her out of here. "If you come with me, I will show you where the necklace is."

’He must think I’m stupid,’ Aurora thought staring at the man who was just as stupid as the man she just killed. "I’m not moving until you put the necklace in my hands. Time is ticking. I can smell the sweat from you panicking."

"Tsk. I was trying to be nice but enough of this. Drag her out but be careful. She’s a lot stronger than we were told. If you fail to get her, your payments will get cut in half," the man said, standing back to be safe. He didn’t know what was going on with the blades surrounding her and wanted to observe them.

Aurora sighed out of boredom from having to fight another bunch of fools. She had killed one of their own and made a tree attack their home. One would think they would be more cautious when approaching her but no, they weren’t.

She used her blades to attack the two other men as she walked toward the man she assumed to be the leader without breaking a sweat. "I’ll ask you nicely," she began to tell him as the blades got back into position to protect her. "Where is the necklace?"

The leader growled as a warning to Aurora to not come any closer but she didn’t listen to his words and kept approaching him. "Stay over there you witch!" freewёbnoνel.com

Aurora cocked her head to the side and smiled. "Why? I thought you wanted your men to drag me over here? Isn’t it better that I am walking to you? I see your fascination with my blades. Would you like to see one up close?"

She sent two up close a couple of inches from his face to scare him. She wholeheartedly enjoyed the look of terror in his eyes from the mere thought he was going to lose his life. It was funny to see how his confidence disappeared in a matter of seconds.

"You’re a witch not a follower of Artemis! You must have bewitched Vincent and Artemis somehow."

"Are you really an idiot? Do you think anyone can easily fool Artemis? I am not a witch or anything else you can think of. I have been trying my best not to kill any of you because I am certain some of the people here will flip this all on me because they don’t like me being with Vincent. To be honest, I really don’t care because I have bigger fish to fry so I would appreciate it if you stop wasting my time and tell me where that necklace is or I will send my blades right through your eyeballs."

Giving up, the man pointed out the room. "It’s in a chest on a table in the dining room. Please let me go free," he begged her. At this point, she was killing off his men quite easily, and if there was the possibility of him ending up like the others. He was paid half of the deal already so he could cut off the deal right here and ignore his customer.

"About time someone cooperated with me," Aurora paused when she heard a loud howl nearby and knew it to be Vincent. If you were familiar with him, you would know he was pissed and looking for blood from whoever took her. "Oops. Looks like he has found your little hideout already. Tell me quickly and I will consider leaving you alive. Who ordered you to do this?"

"I-I don’t know," he stuttered as it dawned on him that he wasn’t going to be able to escape Vincent or the woman in front of him.

Aurora grabbed the collar of his shirt and pushed him back against the wall. "Don’t lie to me or I will kill you right here right now. Who was it?"

She wanted to ask if it was Graham who set this up but she didn’t want the man to agree with any name she mentioned to get off the hook.

"I really don’t know who it was. We don’t speak to the clients directly. There is always a middle man to protect my identity and the client. I can help you identify who the middle man for this was and he’ll be able to tell you who ordered it. Can you-oh no," his eyes widened when he smelt something familiar, and not too long after, Vincent jumped into the room through the mess Aurora created with the tree.

"Aurora!" Vincent called out to the woman he had been searching for. When he was finished with the vampires, he was told she had gone missing along with Cherry. His adrenaline from fighting vampires and the anger he felt when hearing his brother, Aurora, and Cherry had been attacked wasn’t a good mix. He went to where his carriage had been attacked and picked up a couple of scents.

Vincent was happy to see Aurora standing on her own two feet fine but he wasn’t happy to see the man she was cornering. He didn’t acknowledge the blades she had protecting herself and only had the man he wanted to kill for taking her on his mind. free𝑤ebnovel.com

"Wait, wait, wait! I told her I would be able to find who hired us for this job. Tell him!"

"Honestly Vincent, I had this all under control. You did not need to make this grand appearance and scare the hell out of him," Aurora turned around a little annoyed. "Always the mood killer."

Vincent found himself in shock upon hearing the way Aurora was suddenly speaking. She spoke like she was back to her old self. "What’s happening? Are you..." he trailed off in disbelief.

"Surprise, I’m officially back," she answered his burning question. This wasn’t how she planned to break the news but he arrived earlier than she was expecting.
