Chapter 161: Angry (3)

"Now that you are here you can deal with this man," she turned around to go out to where the man said the necklace was. Aurora still wanted to find it before Vincent would realize that it wasn’t on her neck anymore. They’ll talk about her waking up and the kidnapping ordeal once she has found it.

"Aurora, wait! Vincent called to her as he got over the shock. As he was passing the man Aurora had been talking to when he arrived Vincent warned him, "If you try to run away I will hunt you down and kill you in the vilest way. I’m coming back for you."

"Yes, I won’t leave," the man lied and watched as Vincent left to follow after Aurora. When they were both out of the fight, he prepared himself to run away but Vincent hadn’t come alone. He wouldn’t be able to get past the guards who followed after Vincent and Victor who found Cherry. It would’ve been best to remain where he sat.

Aurora on the other hand found a chest on a table just as the man had told her. When she opened it, the necklace was on the top along with other jewelry she figured they had stolen. "They had to be the stupidest kidnappers on this earth along with the people who hired them," she muttered, closing the chest after she got what she wanted.

"Tell me but can you enlighten me on why you aren’t trying to get out of this place and more importantly, how you were able to return to normal? Did I miss a Chapter or something?" Vincent questioned as he leaned up against a wall watching her.

"I was going to explain it to you after this. There was just something I needed to get back first," she replied as she put back his mother’s necklace around her neck.

"There could have been more danger here. I would’ve gotten that necklace back one way or the other."

"I’m certain you would get it back but it wouldn’t feel right knowing I did nothing to get it back. Why are you standing all the way over there? Are you avoiding me? I thought you were patiently waiting for me to remember our past?" Aurora questioned upon noticing the distance between them.

"Just giving you some space in case you are still mad at me. I still don’t know why you were in the first place. "

"I spent a lot of years being used and killed by the Hamiltons and after all that time you have been trying to help me and hold onto those feelings when you could have moved on. I am not angry with you," Aurora honestly said. Too much time had passed for what she was upset about to still be brought up. "I’m ready to leave and go back to your home."

Aurora slowly walked up to Vincent who appeared unsure that she was telling the truth. She touched his hand and said, "I am being honest Vincent. I’m not holding onto anything from the past after everything you have done for me." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

Vincent stared down into Aurora’s eyes to confirm she wasn’t lying and after he concluded she was telling the truth he said, "Okay. Let’s go home."

He took her hand and led her out of the house she had been taken to. His anger had subsided seeing that Aurora was safe but he was going to kill the person who set this up. He knew the vampire attack wasn’t a coincidence with the timing of Aurora and Cherry being taken. He had an idea of who the person was as it wasn’t the first time they would’ve worked with vampires.

Aurora poked Vincent’s cheek seeing him lost in thought. "You look like you have murder on your mind. Care to share who the unfortunate person is?"

"Not yet. I’m going to set some tracks first. I can’t allow this nonsense to carry on any longer. "

Now that they were outside, Aurora saw that Vincent’s guards had the place surrounded, and among them, Victor was tending to Cherry. There were men on the ground tied up and she presumed them to be the remaining kidnappers who tried to flee but failed.

Vincent took her to Victor and Cherry to show them Aurora was safe and sound.

"Aurora, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to protect you back there. The number of people kept piling up and I was only able to take down all of them when guards came to help. Cherry tells me that there is something different about you?" Victor asked.

"Yes. I am back to my old self. I remember our friendship from years ago. It’s nice to see you again Victor," she hugged him. She had missed having a friend like Victor around. Someone she would stay up late with to talk about random things and Vincent,

"It’s about time you remembered our awesome friendship. I was starting to feel a little bit hurt. How were you able to remember everything at a time like this? Did the danger trigger something?"

"Truthfully, I felt it when Vincent and I arrived at the party and later on but when I was going to tell him about the second time, the vampires were attacking. Everything was just bad timing," Aurora said but she was happy she woke up in time to protect herself and Cherry. If had to be saved by anyone for much longer she was going to lose her mind.

"Victor, I’m going to take her home and then come-"

"I’ll take care of this," Victor interrupted his brother. "Cherry’s arm has healed and I want to find the fool who dared break it. I’ll come to report everything we find as fast as I can. Go home," Victor pushed the two away. He knew Vincent wasn’t showing it now but he had been worried something bad must’ve happened to Aurora when he got the news. Victor felt guilty for failing Vincent when he was supposed to be protecting Aurora. He was upset when he found out Cherry had broken her arm.

"Send word to me if you run into trouble and keep an eye out for the people gathering around. The person who did this might show up to see their failed plan."

"You already knew who this was, didn’t you?" Victor had the same person Vincent did as the mastermind behind all of this. It wouldn’t be the first time their uncle tried to hurt Vincent.

Victor had hoped their small family could forgive each other and act like family once again but their uncle was making it hard for that to happen. "Let me just conclude, this is the worst birthday I have ever had. Vampires were here and two people I care about got attacked. Happy birthday to me," he told himself.

Vincent patted his younger brother on the back to cheer him up considering the fact he made Victor have the party. "There was one party where you peed yourself in front of the guests. I think that was much worse."

Victor glared at Vincent for having the audacity to bring up the memory he tried so hard to bury. "Thank you for bringing it up and confirming why this is my worst birthday ever. Every time we talk I wonder what I did to deserve a brother like you. Maybe I still have time to wish I was an only child."

"I would’ve wished for our parents to still be alive but we can’t all be as smart as me. I’ll see the both of you later," Vincent took Aurora’s hand to take her to a horse one of his people brought for him to return home. His precious carriage got damaged in the earlier fight.

"I really hate him," Victor muttered under his breath even though Vincent would still be able to hear it. Why did older siblings have to be so annoying and cause trouble for their poor innocent siblings? Victor could have been snuggled up in his bed right about now had Vincent not requested the party to impress a woman.

"Join the love-hate relationship with Vincent club. I hope everyone explains in better detail what the hell is going on with Aurora soon. I can’t accept the change in her personality so easily. Do I really have a bad memory?" Cherry asked the group. She didn’t understand why she had no memories of Aurora if they were friends in the past. She thought Vicent and Victor had been teasing her when they said she had a bad memory but there might be some truth in it.

"You might remember over time as I did and if you don’t, we can just make new memories. I’m not going anywhere again," Aurora reassured Cherry. She planned to stay with Vincent while she plotted against Minnie and Nathaniel. She wasn’t going to let them off the hook after what they did to her.

She wanted to expose the Hamiltons for what they really were but the relationship she had with Regina was affecting her. Aurora was slightly worried about how her plan might affect Regina’s reputation and her future in the town.
