Chapter 79: Chapter 79

Sunrise swept quickly over the quiet forest, rousing birds and students who reluctantly got out of their sleeping bags.

Louis was the first one out of his tent and the first thing he did was to check up on Henri who wasn’t too pleased with having his sleep interrupted.

Then he went straight to Jann’s tent; he had to make sure that Cedric hadn’t been lost to the night. His mood improved when he saw that Jann literally had to wrap himself around Cedric to keep him in place.

He didn’t bother waking them up as it was still early, sunrise was just mere moments ago. A quick check on Audie and Valentin showed that the two were also still asleep. Audie was comfortable and snug inside his sleeping bag while Valentin was curled on top of the bag, beside him.

Louis yawned and stretched as he walked up to the trunks to sit for a while, letting the gentle sun wash over him.

Dio joined him after a while, just sitting quietly beside him, his long black hair sticking out in every direction.

The next to leave their tent was Henri wearing a grumpy expression on his face, he stomped over to the seating area, unable to fall asleep after having his sleep disturbed.

Nael was already wide awake right as Louis got up but he remained in his spot to watch Errol sleep, the Alpha’s strawberry blonde hair obscuring his face.

Although, his arm which supported Errol’s head was starting to go numb, he was very comfortable and wouldn’t mind staying like that for the next couple hours.

This was interrupted by a bloodcurdling scream from the tent a couple spots away.

Errol was jolted awake, his pale blue eyes unfocused for a few seconds.

Nael’s irritation was immediately wiped away when Errol fixed his attention on him.

"How did you sleep?" He asked with a small smile which widened when he noticed that they were still holding hands.

Nael looked down at him with fairy dust dancing in his hazel-gold eyes. "Good, you can go back to sleep if you want..." freёwebnovel.com

Errol’s gaze drifted from Nael’s eyes to his lips as he spike, suddenly painfully aware of how little the space in between them was.

Nael trailed off as well, his gaze drifting away from Errol’s big eyes down his pink hued cheeks and even lower...

"Errol!" Valentin’s teary voice interrupted the moment, holding his head with a hand as he stood in front of Errol’s unzipped tent.

He was totally unruffled by the fact that his friend and his older brother were sharing a sleeping bag and were a little too close to each other, instead reporting Audie.

"Errol, Audie hit me." He whined, still holding onto his head.

Audie was already on his tail. "But I said I was sorry..."

The moment was broken, Errol climbing out of the sleeping bag to resolve the issue.

Nael fell back with a silent groan, couldn’t they have chosen a different time to have their skirmish?

As the day got brighter and the sun slowly got higher in the sky, the rest of the group all got out of their tent. They took turns cleaning up so they weren’t all at the lake at the same time.

Louis insisted on being right by the lakeside when Henri took his turn. He just kept his back to Henri but remained only a little distance away even though Henri reassured him that the chances of someone attacking him or trying to take him away again was next to none.

There was no changing Louis’ mind though, he couldn’t help but imagine that it was Henri that had gotten stabbed or worse.

After a late breakfast, clamoring started up for them to head to the lake for more fishing and swimming.

Henri went along with them because sitting all alone at the campsite was no fun.

As soon as they got to the lake, Audie immediately went after Nael, trying to get him to do a competition with him.

Dio and Jann immediately lost their shirts, getting ready for another day of catching and releasing fishes.

Dio turned to stare at Louis who was right by Henri’s side again, his mismatched eyes vacant as he watched them.

Jann looked from Dio to Louis, "He’ll join us soon." He said tentatively, patting Dio’s bare shoulder. "I’m sure he won’t mind if we start without him."

Dio didn’t move a muscle, his wrists still tied with silk ties although they got wet when he went in the water.

Jann sighed, looking to Valentin for help but the other Alpha was too busy cheering on Nael who had surprisingly agreed to race Audie.

Over at the edge of the river, Henri wasn’t pleased with Louis constantly sticking to him.

"Shouldn’t you be fishing?" He asked from his perch, Louis half in the water below.

"I don’t mind spending time..."

Henri interrupted him with a heavy sigh, getting up to roll up his cotton pants. "Shut it. I’m going to join you." He grumbled, jumping into the lake.

Louis stared at him with wide eyes, he had felt bad about leaving Henri all alone and wanted to keep him company for a little while. The others should be fine without him for a minute or two...

He hadn’t expected Henri to get in the water with the rest of them.

"I’m not doing this to get you to leave me alone." Henri said, walking deeper into the lake.

Louis smiled as he watched the Omega stomped past him. "I know."

Valentin sighted Henri from the deep end of the river and immediately hurried over. "Henri! Let me show you how to catch fishes!"

"Wait-" Henri hardly got a word out before Valentin was pulling him even deeper, getting him drenched from head to toe.

The cotton shirt he had on became translucent, sticking to his slender body. His hair stuck to his face, angry face pale.

Errol stopped him from dragging Henri all the way to the deep end, scolding his younger brother.

Henri lost his footing from the moment that Valentin pulled him along so he immediately went under when Valentin let go of him, making Errol panic.
