Chapter 55: Chapter 55

The new dorm room turned out to be at the very edge of the third hallway to the left; Errol looked to Nael when they got to the door that matched the number on the key tag given to Errol.

Nael took the lead without question and tried the door much to Errol’s panic.

"Huh, it’s locked," Nael noted. "It would seem your new roommate is an early riser."

Errol couldn’t even find it in him to scold the impulsive Alpha, handing the key over to Nael who unlocked the door right away.

After getting a proper look at the room, it was instantly obvious that Errol had been given a room all to himself.

It couldn’t have hurt for the support staff to let him know that tiny little tidbit, would it?

The dorm room was all cleaned up so all that was left was for Errol to move in. It was better than he had been hoping for because he wasn’t sure he could handle another roommate.

"Since you’ve got the entire room to yourself, I’ll move in with you instead," Nael said with a straight face, going to check out the bathrooms.

Errol started to smile only for the expression to freeze on his face as he realized that Nael might not be joking.

"The bathrooms are just fine too, what side do you prefer?"

Errol’s eyes widened, "You were serious?" He found himself asking and was hit with a sense of deja-vu.

Nael had no intention of leaving Errol all by himself, he had to look after the Alpha after all.

"How else would we be able to share clothes?" He asked casually.

Errol felt his heart expand a little, "I’ll take the one on the other side!" He announced going to check out the wardrobe, excitement starting to churn at the thought of a new room.

And it wasn’t just the offer of clothes that convinced Errol although it was a very good reason. He didn’t even let himself think that Nael would stay by his side when he no longer had any reason to.

Nael would have been fine camping outside the dorm room if that was what Errol wanted so he smiled with his arms crossed as he watched the other Alpha flit around the room, checking everything out and making mental calculations on where everything needed to go.

"It’s almost time for breakfast," Nael said after letting Errol scurry around for well over fifteen minutes. "We can start packing after." He added, holding open the door for Errol to go out first.

Henri ignored Seton for the entirety of his ride on Moonlight, if this surprised him, he made no comment on it, returning to the stables on time just like he promised Tarquin.

The hunched Alpha was waiting for him nervously, a relieved look bleeding into his eyes when he sighted Henri.

"Don’t look like you expected me not to return." Henri scolded, getting off Moonlight.

Tarquin didn’t try to defend himself, quickly walking the large horse inside the stables.

Seton showed up during this time, quietly handing off his horse and walking off in the direction of the dorm buildings.

Henri watched him leave warily, although Seton had ultimately stopped bothering him, which was what Henri wanted, he couldn’t help but be a bit concerned. It was almost like Seton was plotting something devious. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

"Henri?" Tarquin’s voice pulled him from his thoughts.

"Yes?"

"Sorry for making you wait for me, I’ve decided to spend some more time with the horse." He said, keeping his eyes downwards.

Henri expected this, he had only stayed out of propriety so he could say his goodbyes and thank the president for going through the trouble of inviting him out that morning.

"Would you mind coming down to the club room later when you have some free time?" Tarquin asked hopefully before Henri could respond.

"Oh," Henri blinked, realizing that Tarquin must have worried that Henri decided to quit the club after all. "I don’t mind, thank you for the invitation, president." He said walking off.

The day had sufficiently brightened and from the looks of things was almost time for breakfast. Henri hadn’t even noticed the time pass him by, hurrying to his room to clean up and dress up in time.

As the time for breakfast drew near, most of the students living in the dorms roused, getting ready for a new day. There was far more excitement in their chattered conversations, seeing as they were spared from schoolwork on the weekends.

Cecil was one of the few still deeply asleep, totally unaware of his roommate studying him intently.

When it seemed like Cecil had no intention of waking up anytime soon, Alois took it upon himself to shake the other Alpha out of sleep.

Cecil woke up violently, straight up jumping out of the bed and backing away before his eyes were even fully opened.

Amusement danced in Alois’ dark green eyes. "What’s got you all jittery? You were sleeping like a log a mere moment ago."

Cecil had to pause for a few seconds to catch his breath and push his heart down to its rightful place from where it had jumped up his throat.

The reason why Cecil was still deeply asleep although dawn had been hours ago was that he hadn’t been able to get any sleep the night before. This happened because Cecil finally got his payback on Alois, and it would seem that he had covered his tracks quite well this time too because his roommate didn’t seem to suspect him even a little bit.

Cecil had stayed out for most of the day for that very reason only to return to the dorm a few hours after dinner to find that Alois hadn’t returned either. That was the beginning of Cecil’s worries.

He had ended up staying awake until Alois returned and even then he found that he couldn’t sleep, constantly on the edge. It didn’t help that Alois had been in a foul mood the entire time, not even throwing a look in Cecil’s direction.

By a few hours to dawn, Cecil’s exhausted mind started up the argument that his game with Alois was no fun when he got away with it.
