Chapter 45: Chapter 45
If Nael had just dropped the food off, or just handed it to Errol, he would have stalled until Nael left and then gotten rid of the food. This was because he didn’t know what amount of food was suitable, he didn’t feel hungry and he didn’t feel full either, which meant that he would probably end up eating till he threw up again.
But now that Nael had offered to eat with him, he could just mimic the amount he ate just like he did at breakfast.
"I’ll put a blanket out." He agreed without protest, getting up to do as he said.
Nael laid out the food afterward, he had gone for something simple, sandwiches and a slice of chocolate cake each for them. For breakfast, he had gotten an array of food again but stayed to keep an eye on Errol and he noted that Errol didn’t start eating until he made a move, almost like he was mirroring his actions.
So instead of having such a variety to choose from again, he had gone with something simple and easy to eat, each of them having their own portions. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
"Is this mine?" Errol asked with wide eyes, staring down at the plate of sandwiches in front of him, a cup of gentle-tasting cherry soda, and a slice of chocolate cake off to the side.
"Yes, and here’s mine," Nael said simply, gesturing to an identical layout in front of him.
Errol studied his serving and Nael’s serving intermittently like he was searching for something. "They’re exactly the same?" He asked carefully, his voice fragile.
"Yes but my drink is pineapple flavored, want to have a taste?" He offered.
Errol blinked. "I can?" He asked, looking like Nael had just done something incredibly foreign.
"Well, do you want to?" Nael asked patiently.
Errol thought this over, a furrow in his brow. "I-I don’t know." He whispered.
"That’s fine, your bread is starting to get crusty." Nael said, taking a bite out of his sandwich.
Errol gingerly picked up a sandwich with his hands like Nael and then momentarily panicked. "I-I sh-shouldn’t...." He stuttered, dropping the sandwich like it had burnt him. "Nael? Where are the cutleries?"
Nael looked up with a mouth full of food, his hair falling over his eyes. "What?" He mumbled.
Errol giggled at this. "Don’t talk with your mouth full."
"Why not?" Nael kept talking, taking another bite, his full cheeks wiggling.
Errol’s smile faded as he processed Nael’s question. ’Why not?’... Why not? Well because Seton said... His thoughts trailed off as his eyes went wide in realization.
He glanced down and picked up a sandwich with his bare hands again, taking a big bite to fill up his mouth. "I don’t know." He responded to Nael’s question with a full mouth, cracking up right after. freёwebnovel.com
Nael felt his world stop spinning as he watched Errol laugh, only getting jarred when he started to choke. He quickly handed him a drink which he gratefully chugged down, his eyes tearing up.
Errol made a face after drinking. "Oh god, it’s awful." He gasped.
Nael found himself smiling as he spluttered, so Errol didn’t like pineapples? Noted.

After Audie and Vale found out that Louis had been made the class representative of his class at the cafeteria, they were all over him.
"You’re practically on the student council," Audie said smugly
Valentin once again was on a different path from Audie but no less vigorous. "Was it a lot of trouble? I’m confident it was a lot of trouble, our class representative was in a terrible mood the entire time."
Louis was certain he could guess what had made their class representative so miserable.
Louis having his hands full with the two energetic Alpha’s meant that Henri was left with Dio.
Henri noted that Dio made no move to eat his food, his eyes downward. He had his hair gathered up before class but sometime during the lectures, he had lost his hair tie and his unruly hair obscured half his face.
Without a word, Henri picked up his cutleries and held them out to him, shaking them slightly to urge Dio to take them when all he did was stare blankly at Henri.
Henri hardly initiated conversations with Dio, as someone who was silent when he was alone, he tended to be quiet with Dio instead of urging the other to speak.
Dio took the knife and fork from Henri, eating quietly.
Henri would say he was reading too much into things considering that Dio was always this gloomy every other day but he couldn’t help but feel like Dio was a little troubled. He decided not to intrude though because there would be little he could do to help even if he did intrude. Quietly eating beside the silent Alpha and watching Louis try to fend off Audie and Vale’s verbal attacks.
It was becoming more and more of a habit for Nael to not join them at meal times. Audie and Valentin didn’t seem bothered by it so Henri let it go as well.

Some clubs at Alpha Academy had fixed times when their members had to be present but this mostly applied to the teams the clubs had, the rest of the members were free to come and go as they pleased.
So after lunch, Valentin and Audie wandered somewhere, Louis wanted to try his hand at baking some pastry or the other and Dio followed him naturally, leaving Henri all alone.
Henri felt the need to pay a visit to his club, he was a tad hesitant because he wasn’t a fan of raucous situations.
He reluctantly trudged to the club building, finding his club room and immediately sighing in exasperation when he opened the door to find Seton seated on one of the reclining chairs, his dark brown eyes glancing right at Henri immediately he stepped in.
"Henri!" A bright-faced Alpha practically appeared right in front of Henri making him step back slightly. He would really appreciate it if Alphas were more conscious of the fact that not everyone was as tall as they were.
