Henri slowed down when he was certain that he wasn’t being followed, but that was just to avoid attracting attention. He still kept a quick pace, needing to get to the safety of his dorm room.
His heart beat painfully fast like he had been running for hours and he didn’t pay attention to where he was going so it was really no surprise that he bumped into someone.
Alexander was still on his search for the stolen Omega Prince so he was pleased to have the very person he was after, stumble into his arms. "Your Highness, are you alright?"
Henri frowned slightly when Alexander caught his arms to stabilize him and held on, blinking up at his worried expression. "I’m fine, you don’t-"
"You seemed to be in a hurry earlier on, do you mind if I walk you there? Just to make sure you’re safe?" Alexander asked patiently, looking like he had all the time in the world to spare.
Henri was momentarily distracted from his turbulent thoughts that had nearly brought him to tears by this unprecedented situation. ’Surely, they could still have a proper conversation without Alexander holding him so close.’
To make things worse, the students around them started lingering around, whispering to themselves as they didn’t bother to hide the fact that they were blatantly staring.
Henri had already expelled all of his energy dealing with Claude, he didn’t have the willpower to turn Alexander down, so he agreed. "Alright," He agreed, exhaustion evident in his voice. "Could you let me go now?" He asked politely.
Unlike Claude who was hardheaded and went ahead to do whatever he wanted regardless of what Henri said, Alexander could be trusted to nicely-
"Not quite yet," Alexander said in his tranquil voice, sea-blue eyes staring steadily down at him. He pulled Henri even closer. "Your heart is beating a little fast, Your Highness, I’m afraid that you would lose your balance if I do so."
A furrow darkened Henri’s brow, ’what did he take him for?’ Henri was just fine and he made sure to express that. "I assure you I’m just fine," He said tightly, making a move to step backward.
He might have a thick skin but the last thing he wanted was silly rumors going around about them. Alexander holding him so intimately in the hallways while they had a conversation wasn’t a good look.
Fortunately, Alexander let him go, only to offer his arm instead. Henri eyed up the appendage, wondering if he should have just started running the moment he bumped into the other Prince.
He reluctantly gave in and took Alexander’s hand, wanting them to leave their current position as soon as possible. And it wasn’t because he was wary of Claude showing up the second time but because he was beginning to get worried about the small crowd slowly growing around them.
Alexander on the other hand didn’t seem to notice them, carefully guiding him down the hallway, his posture rigid.
Somehow, Henri felt like Year Two was going to be a much more hectic year than the first had been.
He put up with it nonetheless, relieved that Alexander didn’t try to hold a conversation because his thoughts started to drift away again as they made their way across the foyer to the right wing of the Second Year dormitory building. frёewebnoѵēl.com
"I’ll be by to escort you for lunch, Your Highness." Alexander bowed smoothly when they got to the door of his dorm room, the fading wisps of a smile on his aristocratic face.
Henri was about to come up with an excuse why that wouldn’t be possible but the Alpha Prince had already disappeared around the corner like he predicted that happening, leaving Henri in the fastest time ever.
Henri was left standing in front of his dorm room for the longest time, he finally pushed open the door and stepped in with a heavy sigh. He undid his cravat as he stepped in, tossing it over a shoulder. His waistcoat went off next as he headed for his bed.
Maybe if he slept and woke up, his current situation would look better, not to mention, he needed to push the thoughts of Claude out of his head. He should probably examine how he felt about the other Alpha showing out of thin air but he wasn’t ready for that yet.
His shoes went off next, and he undid the buttons of his sleeves as he sat down at the edge of his bed. He should change but he was too tired to, he would just get comfortable and go right to sleep.
Just as his tousled black locks touched his satin-covered pillows, there was a knock on the door. Henri flicked his tired eyes in that direction, his dress shirt slipping down one shoulder due to the top buttons being undone.
He guessed that it was Louis coming to check up on him so he slowly sat up again, "Come in..." He called out, looking curiously when the door slowly swung open. When he saw that it was Alois, he sighed and dropped back on his pillows. "Did he ask you to come?" He asked shortly when he noticed Alois’ awkward carriage.
Alois ruffled his hair, tufts of blond hair standing upright when he was done, "Maybe."
"I don’t want to hear it."
Alois didn’t react to this quick dismissal. "I expected that." He said, deciding to not press although he also wanted to know if Henri was alright. The tired look on his face expressly stated that he wasn’t so it was quite self-evident. "I’ll take my leave now." He announced, making a move to leave."
"Wait," Henri stopped him, making him turn around with an expectant expression.
Although Henri was truly exhausted, not physically but emotionally and mentally, he said. "Could I trouble you to keep an eye on Alexander? I’d like to know everything you find, no matter how inconsequential it seems." He enthused.
It would be imprudent not to do this because although their countries were on friendly terms, the talks of an alliance between them was a strained topic. King Roman Felton wanted the backing of Reinhold who had strong Military power so he could go to war with the boundary country between his and a country up further north with whom he did a lot of trading. The boundary country made trading difficult and being the person King Roman was, he wanted to wipe them out.
King Eli thought it was a stupid reason to sacrifice good men over, when all he had to do was agree to pay a tax for transporting goods through the boundary country. And thus, their disagreement was born.
Alois looked like he would like to say something more but he held back and nodded instead, "Sure," He agreed, heading for the door.

It would seem that the request that Errol had made the previous year was documented by the staff that handled the issue, and although he hadn’t mentioned the reason why he requested to move out of his previous room, they deemed it important enough for a follow-up.
It made sense because his previous roommate had been none other than Seton who was dismissed for assault and attempted murder. For whatever reason, the college administration decided that he deserved to have a room all to himself for his final year as well. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
They had found this out from a neatly folded envelope that was kindly left on one of the reading desks. ’They’ because Nael had insisted on taking him to his dorm room although he was yet to see his because he needed to appraise his new roommate.
Seeing as it would be just Errol once again, there was no question about Nael moving in. It was why they had come down to the cafeteria together.
So they returned to their shared room after the commotion that happened at the cafeteria, Nael holding the door open for Errol to go in. Errol had chosen the side of the room away from the door as his although he would end up sleeping with Nael on their joined beds and their clothes tended to hop wardrobes.
As soon as Nael closed the door behind him, Errol turned around and threw his arms around his neck, getting on his tiptoes to bring their lips together. He jumped back in shock as soon as it happened, placing a hand over his mouth with wide eyes.
"I-I’m sorry... I didn’t ask before I-"
Nael cut off the rest of his words by stepping forward and picking up from where Errol left off, he lifted his head with a smile that crinkled his eyes, his hands slipping around his boyfriend’s waist to pull him close. "You don’t have to ask, I always want to kiss you."
Errol ducked his head, his cheeks heating up at Nael’s blunt words. "Even right now?" He asked in a feather-soft voice.
Nael’s smile faded away quickly, hazel gold eyes melting to lava. Without a further word, he tipped Errol’s face up to his and took his lips again, kissing him longer this time.
Errol had to be the one to break away to catch his breath, his slender hands bunching Nael’s dress shirt as he leaned against him, legs weak.
Nael’s eyes gleamed at this, "Still not sure?" He leaned close to Errol’s ear to ask.
Errol’s response was to bury his face in his chest, mortification riding on the tail ends of the shiver that had run up his spine - He was sure alright.
