Chapter 134: Chapter 134
**A/N: I put a hint or two about Claude in the earlier Chapters, did anyone catch it?**

"Put me down, Claude!" Henri protested, swinging his legs. His tousled hair obscuring his face from their struggle.
Claude’s expression brightened as he skidded round a turn, "You said my name!"
"And you’re not listening to me!"
He was right because right then Claude stopped in front of a dorm room, kicking open the door.
"Scram." He said shortly to the person inside that had frozen in shock from their sudden appearance.
The other Alpha just looked from his mouthy roommate to the struggling Omega Prince in his hold and decided that he did indeed wanted to make himself scarce.
Without any further words, he just walked out of the open door, closing it behind him like he hoped the action would symbolically wipe his memories.
The moment Claude put Henri down on his feet, the Omega was already beelining for the door.
Claude caught him by the waist only to get an elbow to the side.
"Don’t touch me." Henri said sharply.
"I’m sorry, Henri." He said plaintively, letting go of him and standing in his way instead.
Henri paused, a storm still raging in his eyes. If you looked deeply enough, past all of the anger, you would see that he was also hurt.
He sucked in a harsh breath realizing that he couldn’t leave without addressing this. "It’s six years too late." He said in a small voice, still eyeing the door.
"Henri..."
"I want to leave..."
"Henri."
"Why did you come back?" Henri lashed out of the blue, keeping his distance from the Alpha. "You didn’t even let me know you were coming back..." There was a tremble in his voice as he said this. "You didn’t let me know you were leaving..."
Claude seemed to have nothing left to say. He did have but his excuses paled in comparison to Henri’s words. He had only been thinking about himself when he went off to the military.
He didn’t tell Henri because he knew that all he had to do was ask Claude to stay and he would do it. But he had to leave because he had to learn to protect him.
Still with all of these reasons and excuses, he couldn’t bring himself to say a word.
Henri sighed, the storm in his eyes dying to a weary light. "I thought you wanted me to listen to you? Why are you saying nothing?"
"Henri..." It would seem that Claude’s vocabulary was restricted to only saying Henri’s name.
This seemed to only enrage the Prince, "Stop saying my name."
"Your Highness..."
"Not that either..." He trailed off with a heavy sigh. "Can I leave now?"
He didn’t wait for Claude to answer, trying to walk past him again. This time, the Alpha made no move to stop him, watching him leave with longing like he would like nothing more than to hold him back.
Henri didn’t turn around, walking straight to the door and stomping right out. This wasn’t how his second year was supposed to start off.
Claude slowly followed after Henri but he seemed to do it on autopilot like he wasn’t aware of his actions.
His roommate was leaned against the wall of the room, his arms crossed. "That was a shitty conversation." He muttered.
"Shut it." Claude tossed at him but it held none of the edge of earlier.
"Conversations won’t work unless you actually talk." His roommate didn’t back down, walking into the now deserted room.
Claude forced himself to walk in the opposite direction from where Henri had gone off in, maybe he just needed to give him some space.
He walked down the hallway quite distracted, and was dragged out of his thoughts when someone slammed into him at the next corner.
Alois’ leaf-green eyes flashed at this, he immediately snagged Claude’s waistcoat, bunching the material in a single hand. "Where’s Henri?"
Claude’s distant expression remained, he glanced down at Alois’ hand. "Gone."
Alois let go of him and huffed out a laugh, "What did you think was going to happen? What kind of entrance was that?"
Claude’s handsome face darkened on a scowl. He actually hadn’t planned to show himself to Henri in that manner but he didn’t want Alexander touching him and he more or less moved without thinking.
"Cram it." He clipped and then seemed to pause. "Could you maybe check on him? To see if he’s okay, don’t stay too long." He quickly added, his eyes flashing accusations.
Alois rolled his eyes, "Do you want me to or not? You’re the one asking for a favor here."
Claude seemed even more reluctant the longer the spoke about it. "Fine." He said through closed teeth, walking off.
"So is that a yes or a no?!" Alois called after him.
He didn’t get any response much like he expected. He made an exasperated sound, why did he have to play mediator between the two of them when he was yet to see his boyfriend?
Grumbling, he changed his trajectory, heading for Henri’s room. Hopefully he wouldn’t get a table to his head when he went to check up on him. Fuck knew what Claude said to him.

"What floor is your room on?" Valentin asked politely, looking to Jacques.
"Second floor." Audie answered tartly, lounging on his bed.
Valentin tugged on one of the braids in his hair nervously, "I was asking Jacques, we’re inside your room."
"Second floor too, on the left wing." Jacques answered calmly, seeming unbothered by Audie’s obvious attempts to get under his skin.
"Um, Audie, want to come with me to show Jacques around."
"No."
"Yes."
Valentin got two responses to the question he clearly asked to just one of them. Jacques had been the one to turn down his offer while Audie accepted putting them in a stalemate.
He wasn’t quite sure how to deal with this, Audie wanted to come along but the person they would be showing around was against it.
"That decides it then," Audie shot to his feet, he looked more and more disheveled as the day went on.
Now the top buttons of his dress shirt was unbuttoned in addition to his rolled up sleeves, half of his shirt untucked.
"What decides what?" Valentin asked curiously.
Audie took his wrist, an action that was now a habit, a rather bad habit. "Since Jac doesn’t want to go, we’ll go together."
Jacques eyes flicked to their joined hands, his hazel-green eyes darkening.
"But we already know our way around the academy??" Valentin frowned.
Audie shrugged, unfazed although his suggestion wasn’t received well. "Then we’ll do something else." He decided shortly, planning to take Valentin with him.
Valentin nipped this move in the bud, "We’ll all go together then seeing as you both can’t come to an agreement."
Both Alphas in question looked away, wearing matching scowling expressions like they would take anything but that.
Valentin narrowed his eyes at them, starting to run out of patience. "Then why don’t you both go together, you’ve both been arguing ever since Jacques came back, maybe this will be good for you two." He said reasonably.
Audie’s dark eyes filled with revulsion, "No it wouldn’t."
Jacques looked somewhat nervous for the first time. "It really wouldn’t."
"Then stop complaining and let’s all go together." Valentin concluded, "It’s a simple choice, either I come along or you both go together."
They both looked to be seriously considering this, furrows appearing between their brows.
Valentin almost threw his hands up in frustration, "What are you thinking so hard about? We don’t have all day."
"Fine," Jacques grudgingly agreed, taking Valentin’s other wrist. freёweɓnovel.com
Valentin looked from Jacques to Audie and down at where they both held his hand. "Do you both need me to lead you around like toddlers?" He raised a brow.
"Yes." They said simultaneously, agreeing for the first time, possibly since Jacques returned from the military.
It was much easier to deal with the both of them before Jacques was sent to the military but that was because Nael was around. Now that the lovesick idiot had run off with his older brother, Valentin was forced to deal with the both of them all by himself.
"Fine." He accepted grudgingly, wondering if this was how Errol felt whenever he had to deal with all of them.
He started for the door, wondering just how he was going to move around with two tall Alphas hanging off his arms.
"Why don’t we start with the Club building," Valentin said lightly as they walked down the hallway. "Have you decided on what club you’ll be in?"
Jacques looked thoughtful at this question, "What club are you in?" He asked in turn.
Audie scowled, joining the conversation. "He asked you first."
"Volleyball," Valentin didn’t hesitate to say, "But it’s an upstart club and it’s not exactly official yet." He explained helpfully.
"I’ll join the Volleyball club then," He decided to no one’s surprise, shooting Audie a slow aggravating smile over Valentin’s head.
Valentin beamed, unaware of what was going on. "Then let’s head to the Volleyball club!"
