Chapter 131: Chapter 131

Unfortunately, neither Colette nor Anastasia could dissuade Louis, and Dio only listened to the tawny-haired Alpha so they were at a loss. Eventually, they had to concede and let him do as he wished.

Dio was no good at cooking or cleaning but he trailed after Louis nonetheless, trying to help although Louis kept turning him down. So they were both locked in a cycle of wanting to help each other but not wanting help from each other, it was an aimless cycle.

Henri walked behind the both of them, not minding that they were too absorbed in each other to remember to include him in their conversation. He didn’t bother walking beside them either because that would be an inconvenience for anyone else using the hallway, and he really didn’t want to see them fawn over each other.

The cafeteria was a hotbed of activity, with students going in and out of the spacious, airy room. They easily found an empty table to sit at, conversations flowing in muted waves over the cafeteria.

"I’m going to get myself something to drink," Henri announced to the table, half rising to his feet.

Dio immediately looked to Louis, "Do you want something to drink?"

"Yeah... why don’t I stay here to keep watch while you and Henri get drinks?" He suggested, letting go of Dio’s hand so he could go after Henri who was already hot-footing it away from the table, not bothering to wait for Dio.

Dio easily caught up with him and without Louis to possibly stop him, he patted Henri’s head, freezing mid-action like he just realized what he had done.

Henri slowly turned to him with a murderous glare in his smoky eyes, "I hope you have a good explanation for this."

Dio quickly retracted his hand with a guilty expression, "I um... I tripped and needed support." He blurted out, wincing as he listened to the words leaving his lips.

He had to step back a step or two because the anger in Henri’s eyes made him fear for his safety.

"Take care not to trip again." Henri gritted out, stomping over to the counter.

His anger at Dio’s double offense - patting his hair and making a jab at his height - was quickly forgotten when the cooks caught sight of him. It was difficult to remain angry while interacting with bubbly women who wanted to fill you up with food. freewёbnoνel.com

They got their drinks and returned to the table to find Louis waiting for them.

"Did you see any of them?" Henri asked perfunctorily, sitting across from the two Alphas.

Louis gratefully to the drink Dio offered him, "Not yet, but we haven’t been here long." To Dio, he said in a softer voice, "What did you get?"

"A fruit blend, you want a taste?" He asked, already giving his drink to Louis.

To avoid getting a front seat to his friends sharing their drinks with each other while holding longing stares, he busied himself looking around the cafeteria.

From a quick look around, he couldn’t really find any familiar faces. There were lots of new faces and it would seem like all that he could see was fresh-faced Year One students who stood out like sore thumbs in the crowd.

There seemed to be something interesting happening because the conversation in the cafeteria reached a new pitch, students seeming to congregate in small groups to discuss.

Henri just ignored it, peacefully sipping on his drink and people-watching. As long as no one approached him, he didn’t particularly care about what was going on.

He was certain that he wasn’t the cause of the uproar though, unless, perhaps amongst the newly resumed students because the old ones had already gotten used to him. So maybe it was something else entirely, probably something to do with his parents.

"I see Audie!" Louis perked up, his voice dispersing Henri’s pesky thoughts.

Henri immediately swerved in the direction that Louis was waving at, and sure enough, Audie was sauntering in. The grinning Alpha had lost his overcoat, his waistcoat, and his cravat, his sleeves rolled up.

"Am I the first to get here?" He asked, sliding into the spot beside Henri.

"It’s not a competition," Henri muttered.

Audie had also paid a visit to Louis and Dio so they had seen him quite recently, thus their reunion wasn’t a big one. freeweɓnovel.cѳm

"What did you get?" Audie curiously asked, smoothly reaching out to pick up Henri’s drink.

Henri smacked his hand away on instinct, "Go get your own,"

"We’re just seeing each other after so many weeks and this is how you treat me?" Audie placed a hand over his heart.

"The counter is just a few feet away," Henri pointed out, uninteresting in playing along with Audie’s antics.

"Audie, where are the others?" Louis was the one to ask.

"We separated to go to our dorm rooms, they should be here soon." He said flippantly, eyeing up the counter like he was considering the journey, he then turned to Henri, "I-"

"No," Henri immediately cut him off.

"You didn’t even wait to listen to what I had to say," He whined.

Henri hesitated, "It better not be to ask for my drink." He cautioned, holding his drink close.

"It’s not," Audie said earnestly, looking like he was barely keeping the lid on what he had to say. "I have some pretty interesting news."

Henri eyed him up suspiciously, wondering if he should just sacrifice his drink instead because Audie hardly ever brought good news. "What is it about?"

Audie rubbed his hands together, "I’ve never seen him before but Prince Alexander Felton of Tharfield apparently transferred to the academy." He said, happy to be the bearer of such interesting news.

Only Louis and Dio looked pleasantly surprised to hear this news, "Really? You said transferred, does that mean he’s in our year?" Louis asked curiously.

Audie was all too eager to fill him in on the details. After finally getting inside the college, he separated from the others to find his dorm room. Luckily, his new roommate knew all about it and was happy to share it with someone else.

Henri scowled at this, Tharfield also had impressive Colleges and Universities to even rival Reinhold, why then did Alexander feel the need to transfer to Alpha Academy?
