Chapter 663: Showing Off to Little Uncle
When the car reached home, Yin Yang took the camera and then instructed someone to go and have the photos developed.
"Young master, madam’s siblings have arrived." Just as they were walking towards the yard, the butler mentioned today’s events.
"They came over this afternoon?" Xu Mumu asked with surprise.
"Yes, they’re now waiting in the guest room." The butler nodded.
"I want to go find Uncle and them." The little guy didn’t need Xu Mumu to hold his hand, he ran straight towards the house.
When the little fellow ran over, a few people were chatting there, and Xu Wan was holding pen and paper, writing something.
"Uncle Ming, Uncle Lei, Auntie Ting, Auntie Mei, Uncle Tiedan, I missed you all so much." The little guy suddenly pounced towards Xu Minglei.
"We missed you too, where did you go to play today?" Xu Minglei picked up his little nephew, he hadn’t seen this little guy for nearly a month, and now seeing him brought joy to his heart.
"Went to the amusement park," the little guy said excitedly.
"Was it fun at the amusement park?" Xu Minglei asked with a smile, the little guy was still as cute as ever.
"Fun, fun, Uncle Ming, next time I’ll have Mom take all of you to play." The little guy said generously.
"That might not be possible, uncle still has to study." Xu Minglei said with a smile. He didn’t have much break time, but now he didn’t have many classes, so he could come over every day to see the little guy.
"Big sister, brother-in-law." Xu Mumu and Yin Yang walked in, and a few kids greeted them warmly.
"Have you waited long? If I knew you were coming today, we wouldn’t have gone out to play this afternoon." Xu Mumu said apologetically.
"It’s okay, we’re reading here anyway. Big sister’s house is very quiet, much more efficient than reading at school." Xu Jiaojiao immediately said.
"If you like it here, you can come often, there’s also a study here. You can read whatever you like." Yin Yang said kindly. Xu Mumu’s siblings were very capable and one of her favorites, investing in them was worthwhile.
"Your brother-in-law is right, if you like it, come here often. There are many rooms, enough for all of you to stay." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"No need, reading at school is good too. Big sister, you don’t come here often, if we come here every day, who knows what others would think. The dorms at school are quite comfortable too." Xu Jiaojiao shook her head, living here felt like decadence, with all the good food and care leaving one unwilling to move.
"As you wish." Xu Mumu glanced at her siblings, they all agreed with Xu Jiaojiao, and she didn’t try to persuade them further, knowing they had their own thoughts, and they were adults now, she wasn’t planning to interfere much.
"By the way, how have things been at school?" Xu Mumu asked with a smile.
"Pretty good, just busy with studies." They were all preparing to graduate early, as there was a lot to learn in college.
"Didn’t we bother you today?" Xu Mumu asked.
"No, just for these two days. We can make up for it by spending more time tomorrow, it’s worth it to see Doudou." Xu Jiaojiao earnestly said.
"Don’t say that, if your visit here affects your study plans, I’d feel bad." Xu Mumu said helplessly.
"Alright then, big sister, don’t feel bad. Don’t you trust us? Getting a scholarship is easy, graduating won’t be hard. We want to be outstanding graduates too." Xu Jiaojiao laughed happily.
"Quite ambitious." Xu Mumu’s mouth twitched.
The kitchen quickly prepared the food, and because of the presence of these kids, the large yard suddenly became lively, a atmosphere Xu Mumu greatly enjoyed.
"Are you both leaving?" Xu Minglei and Tiedan were about to leave, and Xu Mumu was a bit surprised.
"Yes, our instructor will check the dorms at night, and there’s a curfew, better to head back early." Xu Minglei said with a smile, "Sis, I’ll come back to see you and Doudou tomorrow."
"Alright then." Xu Mumu nodded, then made sure Xu Minglei and Tiedan took plenty of snacks home with them, as they were still growing and should not go hungry.
After seeing Xu Minglei and Tiedan off, Xu Jiaojiao and the other two stayed behind, planning to spend the night there.
It was still early, and the lights in the backyard were bright. Xu Wan really liked the pavilion in the backyard, sitting inside leisurely reading a book.
Xu Jiaojiao was pulled around the backyard by Doudou, exploring the places he thought were beautiful.
After playing in the backyard, the little guy didn’t forget to call home. After coaxing the two elders, the little fellow remembered his Uncle. Having forgotten to call him yesterday, he was determined to today.
Xu Jiaojiao sat beside the little guy, watching him call Fengfeng, boasting about the fun things he’d encountered since arriving. The call lasted over forty minutes, and it was the first time Xu Jiaojiao realized her eldest nephew could talk so much.
"Didn’t you get thirsty talking that much?" Xu Jiaojiao said helplessly, offering a cup of water to the little guy.
"Thank you, Auntie." The little guy thanked obediently, drinking the warm water with honey, sweet and delicious.
"Why did you talk so long? Won’t Fengfeng get upset with you bragging?" Xu Jiaojiao poked his forehead, smiling as she asked.
"Nope, my little uncle never gets angry with me. But he does want to come to Imperial City badly, but he has to study," the little guy said with more glee at the last part.
"Your little uncle must be utterly envious." Xu Jiaojiao laughed.
"That’s right, little uncle said when he has vacation, he’ll come to Imperial City with us." The little guy said happily. His little uncle wasn’t much older than him and often played with him; the two were the best of playmates.
"That’d be great. By then, your yard will be bustling." Xu Jiaojiao said with a laugh, knowing this little cousin wouldn’t be idle, likely running wild with Doudou.
At night, a few stayed in the yard for the night, while Xu Minglei and Tiedan, laden with bags of snacks, returned home. Not long after arriving at the dorm, the snacks were quickly snatched up, leaving little remaining.
"Gosh, you guys aren’t even human, these were prepared by my sister, leave me some!" Xu Minglei exclaimed in disbelief, looking at his roommates. He had a good relationship with them and also joined in when others’ snacks were up for grabs, making for a lively scene.
