Chapter 54: Arnament Blueprints

Ren sat at the edge of the cave, overseeing what was happening in his settlement. Work was going on faster than he could have imagined, with many houses coming up fast.

In his hand was another roasted meat, glazed with honey. He was biting into it vigorously while humming another tune that he made up, as usual.

After a while, he recalled that the system had given him two rewards, one for the hidden quest and one for the entire mission of killing the orcs.

"Hmm, I should get to checking that," he said and then pulled up the system screen to have a look at the skills that he gained.

[Unique Skill: Bestow.]

[This Skill allows the user to demand strength from all his subordinates in a difficult time and also allows the user to bestow his strength to subordinates, split evenly among the subordinates. Duration: one hour.]

"Whoa, that’s pretty awesome," Ren commented as his gaze lingered on the skill. He did not need a lot of info to know that this could be terrifying if used in the right way.

"I doubt I’ll use it anytime soon, but regardless, it’s a great addition to my arsenal."

He moved on to the next reward a moment later. He had expected a skill of some sort, but what he found stunned him. It was an actual different reward from the system, the first kind that he had gained.

[Hidden Weapon Reward: 3 Divine Armament Blueprints]

He stared at the system with the kind of look that was held by someone who was shocked beyond comprehension, when you saw the impossible happen right before your very own eyes.

He was looking at three blueprints that could be used to create Divine Armaments, the same thing that the headmaster had used and he had taken. He knew how powerful of an artifact it was.

"I can’t believe I got this."

He opened them up fast. The system split into three screens and showed the three armaments.

One was a sword.

[Heaven Sundering Blade]

The next was a full armor set.

[Luna Armor]

And the last was a staff.

[Void Staff]

He looked at the design of all three armaments, and each one was unique and extremely good-looking.

The sword was made with a one-handed hilt that spread into a beautiful blade that was covered in ancient runes. At the center of its handle was a crystal.

The armor was the highlight. A fully sleek armor from helmet down to the boots. It had a dark color, but at the center of the chest was a crystal embedded in it. Ren looked at that and worried that having a crystal there would cause it to be an easy target, but there was a footnote under the description that mentioned how the crystal used its own energy to create a near-impenetrable force field around it.

As for the last, the staff, it had a sleek design that went from bottom to top into a semi-circle kind of head with a black orb floating at the center.

"These look so good," he muttered and turned to read the details of all the armaments. But at that moment, Ezra flew down behind him, and the system rang out at the same time.

[Unknown Guest in your territory]

He did not know that he even had this detection system, but seeing it was pretty cool.

Ezra went on one knee and bowed her head.

"Master, there is an issue. Some humans have walked into the forest, numbering in the twenties. They are armed." She spoke with the utmost respect.

Ren leaned back and used his hands to support himself.

"Ezra, you do not need to be all that respectful, you know," he said.

"I can’t do that, Master. If I did, the younger wolves and lizardmen may emulate me and show you disrespect," she said.

’Sigh, she is stuck to rules and conduct. I like it though.’

"But we are alone up here."

"That does not change anything, Master. My respect for you does not go away," she responded.

"Fine." Ren said and got on his feet. He turned around and looked at her. She had on a leather-made armor-looking dress. It turned out that one of the elder lizardwomen knew how to make clothes with materials, and now she was teaching a few young ones, and clothes were now circulating the settlement in only a few days.

Ren had also chipped in with what he knew, and that had helped things get better. Even he now had a cool set of clothes, even if he was still using his scales for now.

"Come meet me, and we will head to check it out. But before that, inform Remu to talk to Ragna, and they should finish making the plans on us moving to fully take control of the orcs. I want us to move at least tomorrow.

When you are done with that, find Riker. The three of us will head to see the humans," he gave his instructions.

She looked up with shock.

"Master, you plan to go yourself?" she asked.

"Well, yeah, I have to handle that."

She gritted her teeth in response, evidently not happy with that, but not willing to stop her master. She bowed her head in reluctance, spread her wings, and then shot into the sky.

"Hmm, she is dedicated, to say the least."

Ren decided to try on the clothes, a full leather jacket that still managed to allow his ripped chest to show, leather pants, and boots as well.

He spun around and looked at himself. He was looking good. He did not need to use his scales to cover his body anymore.

Only his hands were still covered in scales. He felt that was his signature, so he left it there. As for his horn, he did not know how to remove it yet. It was like it was stuck, same as his wings.

Since he was changed and ready, he leaped off the cave and landed in the settlement. Anyone that saw him immediately bowed their heads to him. It was still a new feeling to Ren.

[Author Note: Not sure if I left this out, but a good number of the Lizardmen evolved to have wings after their first evolution]
