Looking through his status for the first time, he was naturally happy, but something in those lines of information bugged him.
Origins: Sun God’s Shrine.
"What could this mean? Do I have the power of Sun?"
No.
Even after looking through every part of his body, he found no trace of the Sun’s power.
"So the Origin part is a useless thing, I guess. What a terrible loss!"
But he didn’t know what a significant role origins played in the hierarchy of Olympus. If he had known, he wouldn’t be saying that right now.
That being said, he wasn’t too discouraged. After all, he had the cheat system to create quests without limit.
He used the power to create another quest in accordance with what he was about to do, so that every action he took could be referred to as a quest.
That way, he wouldn’t have to go to special lengths to create boring quests..
Dong!

With this done, Raidan finally decided to step out of hiding to carefully adventure through the village.
He couldn’t be cowering away all day, right?
Just then, he noticed he was wearing some kind of tunics, like the villagers.
"Strange, I was wearing my shirt and pants. Where did they go? Did they change clothing too?"
He was confused.
Nevertheless, he started walking on a narrow path through the straw houses.
He hoped to find some kind people who wouldn’t slaughter him just to please some unknown god.
However, just then, he heard a call that completely made him freeze.
"Hey Apollo, where are you going? The ritual site is that way."
Raidan’s heart started beating faster. freewebnovёl.ƈom
Who was calling him? And how did they know his name when he had told no one?
With beating heart he turned around, only to see a young man with jet black hair, looking around the same age as him.
But this young man had bright yellow skin, unlike his pale white skin.
The young man placed a hand on his shoulder as if he had known Raidan for years.
"What? Did you get scared just after seeing a single sacrifice?" he asked.
"Who are you?" Raidan asked back, stunning the young man.
Then the young man chuckled as if he had seen through a little act.
"Haha, what’s this? Some kind of prank? You don’t know your buddy Lucas?"
"Lucas?" Raidan repeated, finding it familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
"How long have we known each other, Lucas?" he asked again.
Lucas looked at him suspiciously now. "Did you hit your head, Apollo? We’ve known each other for over a decade now."
Raidan felt a quiet shock.
’A decade? But I just arrived here today. What is going on?’
Seeing him muttering to himself, Lucas got annoyed.
"Enough with that. The chief is calling for you. He said only you can do the miracle now."
Lucas then practically dragged Raidan to the ritual site.
The village chief standing there, also looked at Raidan with eerie familiarity.
"Son Apollo, where did you run off to?"
For a moment Raidan stayed speechless. ƒreewebɳovel.com
By now, he understood something was definitely wrong.
But he also understood it was better to play along for now.
"Nowhere, Chief. I was just watching the sheep herd."
He barely hid his nervousness.
The villagers surrounding them laughed.
"Chief, this bastard must have chickened out after seeing the sacrifice. He hasn’t changed. Still a coward!" a boy around Raidan’s age muttered with disdain.
"Haha, and this rascal says he wants to marry my granddaughter," an old woman added.
"Still, we have to admit, coward or not, our Apollo is the Sun God’s favorite. Remember last time he accidentally dropped a drop of blood from his finger and the Sun God graced us with his divine brilliance?"
An old woman said, her gaze distant as if she were reminiscing about that memory.
Hearing that, a young girl’s eyes shined.
"Grandma, tell Brother Apollo to burn his blood again. I want to see the sun so bad."
Listening to the comments, Raidan confirmed one thing: mysteriously enough, he had his own identity in this world, just like the other NPCs here.
But Kyle wasn’t given one.
Is he only an exception? Or the reason is something deep and horrifying.
Was he dead in real life?
He felt a little scared, but he also felt relieved that he wouldn’t be roasted anytime soon.
"Son Apollo, what are you thinking? Go and drop some blood into the ritual fire." The village chief suggested with kind eyes.
But Raidan knew their kindness was deceptive. They were cruel monsters who could sacrifice anyone for their own gain.
And thus, with utmost caution, he stepped forward toward the ritual fire.
As he gazed at the raging crimson flames, he could still see the bones and ashes of Kyle. His last words still echoed in his ears like ghostly whispers.
Nonetheless, with a bite to his finger, he made a cut on his right forefinger, then let a drop fall onto the raging crimson fire.
The moment he did, the fire appeared to be responding.
It flickered chaotically, then turned radiantly golden, letting its light fall onto the stunned and awed villagers.
The dark clouds above their heads also disappeared, revealing a bright sun.
The villagers couldn’t get enough of this miracle.
"Seee, it is true! Our Apollo is the God’s Chosen!" the village chief muttered as a tear rolled down his old, sunken cheek.
The old man then bowed low and kowtowed, pressing his head onto the dusty ground.
"Thank you, Your Eminence! Thank you for giving us a chance! We have received your guidance. We will send Apollo on your sacred path as soom as possible!"
Raidan stood there, speechless, feeling like he had gotten himself tangled up in something big again.
Will Raidan survive the coming challenges and perils?
Or will he disappear in the flow of time?
