Chapter 5: Ch 5: Fallen Sun Village
After cautiously interacting with the villagers, Raidan learned the village was called Fallen Sun Village.
It was said that about a century years ago, the Sun God once descended into the village in search of a rare flower.
During that time, he befriended a mortal woman named Aigren.
Aigren thought the Sun God was an ordinary man, and so their friendship deepened to a deep love, and they vowed to never break their bond, even if the world turned against them.
But alas, fate was merciless.
One day, Aigren was mysteriously found dead.
The Sun God, saddened by the loss, went berserk.
His rage was so intense that he destroyed almost everything, and that sacred banyan tree had to intervene to save the villagers back then. frёeωebɳovel.com
The Sun God left, but his last words were engraved onto the ancient tree for eternity.
""When twilight suffocates the sky and darkness rises to consume the world, our paths shall cross once more.""
Since then, the Sun Village has been cursed. The sun barely shows upon the land, and demonic beasts roam the perimeter, terrorizing the villagers day and night.
And that’s why this village was far from ordinary. There was always a constant fear of death, and a desperate need to please the divine.
Honestly, after hearing the story, Raidan had many questions.
Who killed Aigren?
Why couldn’t the Sun God save him if it was a mere mortal matter?
He couldn’t be that weak, could he?
No answers.
One thing he was sure of, though: the villagers must have a hand in thay.
Other than that, he couldn’t think of any other reason why an exalted godly figure would stoop so low to curse a small village.

[ Rewards Received: +2 DEF (Defense), 1x Wooden Sword (F) ]
Raidan had finally completed his second quest.
He could also feel his muscles getting stronger because of the Defense stat increase.
The wooden sword appeared right in his hand. After giving it a swing, Raidan felt a little more secure.
He had also learned that his parents died in a beast tide a decade ago. So, in this dangerous world where he was all alone, even this small amount of security mattered.
The village Chief said he had something to talk about and called him to his house at night.
Right now, it was evening. He was inside his hut, planning to create his next quests before heading to the Chief’s house.
"How about 100 swings of the sword before heading to the village chief’s house?" he thought.
He entered the title and objective, and the rewards appeared:
[ +1 ATK and 25 EXP ]
It was not bad. If he could add a punishment and a time limit, the rewards would double.
So he did. He created the quest.
Quest 1: Passionate Swordsman
Objective: Reach the Village Chief’s house while swinging a sword.
He created another one.
Quest 2: Walkman 2
Objective: Walk to the Village Chief’s house.
Reward: 10 EXP
The reward was insignificantly low since the objective already overlapped with the first one.
He had to be a little more creative.
[ Objective: Jump 10 times ]
[ Rewards: +1 AGI, 20 EXP ]
Seeing the interface, Raidan smiled. "Now that’s looking better."
With all that set, Raidan finally started heading out.
Along the way, he swung the wooden sword 50 times and jumped 10 times just as he intended.
And with that, the quests were completed just before he reached the Village Chief’s house.

He was already halfway through leveling up.
The Village Chief was seated on the veranda, watching his gleeful smile in confusion.
"Son Apollo, you have come. Sit." He pointed with his wooden stick.
Raidan coughed once then sat beside the old man waiting to hear what he had to say.
"Chief, what did you want to tell me?"
Upon hearing his question, the old man looked up at the night sky.
"Son, you already know the story of our village. We’re cursed. We are fallen. But there is a way to solve this."
He moved his gaze downward, fixing it onto Raidan.
"You are the Sun God’s favorite. So, you are the only hope we have."
"Me? What can I do? I don’t think I am that capable Chief, " Raidan said, acting confused.
The old man placed a firm hand on Raidan’s shoulder, looking at him with tearful eyes.
"I can sense mana inside you, boy. You must go to First Olympus and begin your journey to seek his divine trace. This task will be infinitely difficult, but I have full trust in you. Once you find him, ask for his forgiveness on our behalf.
We have suffered enough. Our future generations won’t survive if this curse isn’t stopped as soon as possible."
"Wait! First Olympus? What is that?" Raidan asked with a jolt of alarm.
The old man sighed, as if recalling a bitter reality.
"Olympus is divided in 9 Realms: Elysium < Arlos < Gretos < Vandal <Tartarus < Ouranos < Armedea < Deza Grandos, < and Deus Eternia.
But we’re at the very lowest, Olympus Zero. The number of mages and warriors is painfully low here, and Mana-born are one in ten thousand. But the place you are going to tread is called First Olympus. That is the true beginning of magical wonders and beyond. Mages wielding grand spells, warriors splitting mountains, and mystical dungeons filled with mysteries are very common there. Legend says if one could ascend through all 9 realms, they could meet the deities."
"I see..." Raidan whispered with a thoughtful look on his face. He had thought he was already in a magical world, but it turned out the situation was completely different.
He was at the very bottom, where Mana almost nonexistent.
Raidan also had no intention of staying in this backwater village anyway. If he wanted to crawl out from the shadow of his past and fully unlock the staggering potential of his Quest Creation System, he couldn’t spend his days running menial errands for scraps of experience.
Trivial tasks would only yield trivial power.
He needed grander stages, deadlier perils, and rewards that would reshape his very destiny.
First Olympus was precisely where he needed to be.
"I’ll go... Make the arrangements."
The Chief blinked, utterly taken aback by the total lack of hesitation.
"You agree so readily? I... I expected you to cower and beg to stay, just as you always have."
"Haha..." Raidan laughed. An amused laugh.
He certainly wasn’t doing this out of some sudden noble sense of devotion to the village.
Why should he harbor any loyalty toward a pack of fanatics who had just roasted a fellow earthling alive? But they were handing him a golden ticket out of this tutorial zone, and he was going to take it.
"Don’t misunderstand, Chief. I’m not doing this out of a sense of duty. I’m going because the world out there is vast, and I have no intention of remaining weak. But if I happen to cross paths with your fickle deity along the way, I’ll be sure to deliver your message."
"Rascal, then I aren’t sending you there at all."
"Ah, sorry sorry! I was just joking."
