Chapter 2: Ch 2: Infinite Quest Creation System

Raidan’s surroundings changed instantly. He was no longer in the bustling Detroit City, but in a primitive land filled with greenery.

But something was more important to him than his new surroundings.

His mind was occupied with the strange robotic speaking inside.

"Infinite Quest System? What is that?" he asked.

[ "Greetings, Host. I am the Infinite Quest Creation System. Your journey into limitless challenges begins now. All opportunities, dangers, and rewards shall be at your fingertips. Prepare yourself... for every choice shapes your destiny." ]

["Should I give a proper explanation of how the System works?" ]

Raidan read some novels, so he was no stranger to this kind if setting. The protagonist receives an overpowered system and rise to the top after many twists and challenges.

Still, it was honestly shocking that one of those mystical systems had chosen him.

"Please do," he said patiently.

[ Infinite Quest Creation System ]

[ Description: As the name suggests, it allows the host to create a limitless number of quests based on their desires. Before creating quests, the host must abide by 7 parameters:

1. Objective

- Objectives must be clear, measurable, and achievable (even if nearly impossible).

Examples:

Kill 100 Goblins

Survive 3 Days in Poison Fog

The system rejects:

"Become stronger"

"Be happy"

"Vague concepts"

2. Difficulty Rank

The user manually chooses difficulty.

Difficulty Levels:

Easy

Normal

Hard

Super Hard

Nightmare

Hell

Impossible

Note: Higher difficulties multiply reward quality, punishment severity, and hidden bonuses.

3. Time Limit

Setting up time limit rewards heavily.

Example: Kill 50 monsters:

30 Days → Rare reward

1 Hour → Legendary reward

4. Punishment Clause

This is critical.

The harsher the punishment: → the greater the reward.

Examples:

Temporary paralysis

Stat reduction

Permanent blindness

Lifespan loss

5. Witness Value: Reality acknowledges challenges more strongly if observed.

Completing quests:

alone = normal rewards

before crowds = amplified rewards

before powerful beings = enormous rewards

6. Destiny Interference; The system rewards quests that alter fate.

Example:

Saving one civilian → minor reward

Preventing a kingdom collapse → legendary reward

Killing a future Demon King before rising → mythic reward

7. Risk Authenticity: The system can detect fake danger.

Self-created "easy" quests give garbage rewards.

The host cannot cheat by hurting restrained enemies, scripted battles, or artificial danger.

Raidan tried to comprehend the mechanisms of this Quest Creation system.

After looking closely, he realized it wasn’t too hard to understand.

Before creating a quest, he just had to keep in mind how these seven parameters affect that quest.

Honestly, all seven parameters made sense. If he wanted a bigger reward, he would need to take on a higher risk.

But the real question was, did this system really allow him to create and take on infinite quests?

According to his limited knowledge of MMORPGs, he knew a player could take on one or two quests at most.

On top of that, they had to rely on NPCs to give them out, which was a drag.

But this system was trying to break that very limitation.

"System, can I really create and run unlimited quests?" he asked to be sure.

The system replied, [ "Yes you can. However, you can not stack up quests infinitely. It is limited to 2 quests at a time because your low level. This is designed to protect your soul from collapsing. Still, after you complete those quests, you can take on more. Once you reach level 10, you can even assign quests to others and get upto 100X as return." ]

Raidan understood. Even though it didn’t allow him to take on infinite quests all at once, it was still a broken system.

No, it was the perfect cheat he could have hoped for. frёewebnoѵēl.com

"I think I understand how the system works now. But can you tell me where am I right now?"

[ "You’re in the land of Olympus, Host. System desn’t have enough authority to reveal more. You must discover the rest on your own. ]

"I see..."

Dong!

[ WELCOME TO THE OLYMPUS, PLAYER ]

[ PLEASE TYPE YOUR "NAME" TO PROCEED ]

"Name, huh?" Raidan murmured, contemplating his choices.

It was obviously safer to use an alias so that any problems wouldn’t bleed into the real world.

Although he had heard that many players used their real names to become famous.

"What should I choose? Raidan? Gray? Or something else?"

Unable to decide for himself, he asked his own System.

"System, can you suggest a name?"

But strangely enough, the System didn’t respond, as if it hadn’t heard him at all.

His eyes suddenly turned to the sky, noticing the sun was nearly absent, hidden by a layer of thick clouds.

All of a sudden, a name formed in his mind like a mystical spell.

[ "APOLLO" ]

[ PLAYER NAME REGISTERED SUCCESSFULLY ]

[ Welcome, Player Apollo. Adventure, Hunt, Dominate. ]

Flash!

The translucent colorful texts disappeared.

His gaze naturally drew to his surroundings. He saw houses made of straw and wood.

Due to the absence of the sun, there were no shadows at all.

As his gaze wandered, in the distance he saw crops turning ghostly white, trees and bushes had turned pale, appearing as if struck by a long lasting Solar Eclipse.

But there was an exception. That big banyan tree over there was still lush and green, completely indifferent to the loss of vitality around it.

And around the Banyan tree, several elderly people were seen praying with their hands pressed onto their chests.

"Is this a starting village?" Raidan wondered.

"Hey dude, can you tell me where am I?"

All of a sudden, a cheerful male voice reached his ears from the left.
