Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Third Rate Actress
Hearing this, Danny got confused, "Angry? I am not upset at all. I would never get angry, inadvertently."
"What if you got really angry? What could I do?"
With a serious look on his face, Danny finally answered, "Actually, let me tell you something. Most gay keep to themselves. We suffer from discrimination from most of society. They only care about themselves and straight people. Besides, they pay most of their attention to the people they really care about. You can’t harm them, as long as they don’t care about you. But if they care about you, they may accidentally be hurt by you."
Hearing these words, Edie was shocked. Stuart never cared about others’ death or lives.
Seeing her facial expression, Danny burst into laughter, "Look at me. Do you believe that I got really angry with those people that were in here? They wish. I got angry because of you, my darling."
He was so kind to her, but still, Edie didn’t feel pleased. Instead, she felt sadder, "Danny, I might have said something that hurt one of my gay friends."
Danny thought about her relationship with this gay friend and just figured their relationship was the same as what they had. He had to think it over, and he said, "As a matter of fact, that means he cares about you very much. Apologize to him seriously. Get him a present. We are all accepting. He will forgive you, baby."
Touched by what he said, Edie gave him a hug, "Danny, you are such a good sister." Later, they about work and what she should do with the media and then Edie left. As soon as she walked out of Danny’s office, she called director Lane, and she wanted to ask him why she got the chance to have an audition. But no one answered.
Neither the production manager or the executive producer answered. Edie thought that it was strange. Stuart stopped shooting for half a month. How could it be possible for them to be so busy that they couldn’t answer their phones?
As Edie was walking outside, she saw Stuart’s driver waiting for her. She couldn’t ignore him, so she had no choice but to get in the car.
"Mrs. Yates, where are you going? Home?"
"No," Edie said immediately. She wasn’t ready to see Stuart yet. Seeing the driver’s questioning in his eyes, Edie said, "Era Hall then." The driver followed her instructions, "Okay, the Era Hall it is."
Edie wasn’t in the mood to go shopping, as she knew Stuart had everything. It had to be something that he would use. Finally, she got him a tie with dark red stripes. She thought it would be perfect for him.
While paying for the tie at the counter, the cashier took a careful look at her, "Are you, Edie Lara?" It wasn’t until that moment that Edie really got the meaning of "Good things stay indoors while bad things will go a long way."
Being a third-rate actress not once was she recognized by the entertainment reporters. As the news spread out on the internet, almost everyone on the street knew who she was. Now, knowing this, Edie thought it was terrifying.
Recalling the curses and wishes of all the people’s comments on Twitter, Edie smiled and shook her head, "No, I am not." When she was done, she got into the car in the parking lot and went back to the Yates’s mansion. On their way back home, Edie got a message, from Scarlet Yvette. "Edie, I have heard the news. I didn’t know whether you were available to talk, so I just sent you a message."
There was someone in my office wanting to make a report about this. I stopped them already. I will tell you what it says as soon as I get it from them. Don’t hesitate to call me if you need help, and I mean anytime."
Reading the message, Edie couldn’t help herself from smiling. Yes, this stuff going on pissed her off. But through all of it, she found that there were so many people around her that genuinely cared about her. That meant so much to her.
"Madam, we are here."
She turns around, and Edie looked out the window of the car. She saw Stuart’s car parked by the garden. So....she would see him right away. Thinking about the unpleasant quarrel they had today at the hospital, she grasped the gift she bought him. She started thinking about how she would apologize to him, and suddenly she got nervous.
Taking a deep breath, Edie opened the car door and got out. She started walking towards the Villa, and Mr. Sampson opened the door for her. He saw Edie and looked very surprised.
"Aren’t you shooting today? I didn’t know you were coming home." Edie froze for a second. Mr. Sampson didn’t know about her, and what was going on? "Hasn’t Stuart told you?"
Mr. Sampson shook his head, "He went to the office, and he hasn’t gotten back yet." Knowing this, Edie felt a little lost. Tightening her hands holding the bag, she said, "Oh, so he is not here."
Seeing that Edie was a little disappointed because Stuart wasn’t here, Mr. Sampson smiled. He truly believed that they really loved each other. He thought that Edie came here to surprise Stuart. freёwebnoѵel.com
"Madam, Mr. Yates wasn’t expecting you. I will give him a call. I know once I talk to him, he will come back as soon as possible."
Clearly, Mr. Sampson misunderstood her, but Edie didn’t know how to explain it to him. She nodded, "Thank you, Mr. Sampson. I am going to take a shower first." As Edie went upstairs, Mr. Sampson called Stuart happily.
"Hello," Stuart said in a cold voice.
"Mr. Yates, there’s something I have to tell you." Mr. Sampson couldn’t hide his kind smile on the face.
"Say it," Stuart replied.
"Mrs. Yates is here."
Stuart fell into silence for several seconds. It was what Mr. Sampson anticipated. He was waiting to hear the excitement in his voice. After a while, he said in a low voice, "Has long has she been back?"
As soon as Mr. Sampson heard the tone in his voice, he couldn’t believe his ears. Stuart sounded a little depressed. He must be imagining it. Being at the top of the pyramid, he had never been depressed. He could handle anything. Why would he be depressed? He couldn’t figure it out.
"Yes, Mrs. Yates is taking a shower. She asked about you as soon as she walked into the house. I think she wanted to surprise you. She looked a little disappointed after I told her that you were not at home. "
To please Stuart, Mr. Sampson made up some of his own details.
