After having several days off, Edie needed to continue working. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
Stuart had lots of time now. So he went to the spot together with Edie.
It was a film studio to photograph fashion covers. Edie cooperated with this studio before. So she was quite familiar with the progress. After arriving at the studio, everyone has already been ready.
Edie’s model was a well-known young model this time. She was closely related to Bella’s. Because of this model, lots of photographers quit the job. The periodical office had no choice but to ask for Edie’s help.
The model was named Lexi Lee. She was a gorgeous girl. The makeup on her face was so sexy and wild today. Because the photos today were taken for the men’s fashion magazine. Therefore, she changed her youth cold style to sexy wild style.
Heavy locomotives, black leather wallets, pistol models...
All props were wild.
Edie has gotten everything ready. But Lexi hasn’t arrived yet. This pretty young model was still in her ladies’ room.
Because Lexi was famous, the periodical office gave her an independent room for makeup.
"Miss Jackson, I am so sorry. Please wait here for a moment. I would ask her to come immediately," the staff explained to Edie.
"That’s all right. I charge you on an hourly basis. You might need to pay more money this time."
Edie smiled and said as if she had nothing to be angry with.
She sat on the chair and started setting up her camera. Stuart was standing beside her. He poured a glass of warm water for her. Though they didn’t say a word to each other, everyone at present knew how deeply they loved each other. The couple looked so peaceful and lovely.
L. N’s group was so well-known in England. After all, the group’s headquarter was located in London. But it was not famous in A. So Edie and Stuart were nothing more than an ordinary couple. Seldom people knew them. This also avoided lots of troubles.
However, no matter what, Stuart was so handsome wherever he went. No one would not be attracted to such a charming man.
Several girls working there were fixing their eyes on Stuart. But when he passed a glass of water to Edie and said
"Darling, drink some water."
All those girls signed.
"God. He’s already gotten married—such a pity.
"Don’t you see the wedding ring on his finger? I already knew he’s already married. But he is still so handsome. I think I might see him somewhere. He looks so familiar."
"Like some actor? I need to take a photo of him and ask my friends. He is such a handsome guy.
When hearing their conversation, Edie couldn’t help herself smiling. She thought Stuart said those words to her on purpose. He already dealt with those girls before Edie stood up to tell them that he was her husband.
"Darling, we haven’t registered our marriage. We haven’t gotten our marriage certification. I haven’t been your wife, okay?"
"We would register sooner or later. Let’s go to register on Monday. I would never let you go this time.
Stuart said in a relaxing voice. He raised his eyebrows, showing his pride.
Hearing these words, Edie smiled without saying a word.
Edie waited for quite a long time. But Lexi still stayed in her room. The room was locked insides. No one knew what she was doing inside.
After about one hour, the door was finally opened. A man and a woman walked out of the door.
The man was Carlos Webb. He walked in front of Lexi. Lexi was dressing behind him. Her face was still red.
Both were sweating. Everyone at present knew what they were doing inside now.
Lexi needed to fix her makeup. So Edie waited for more than one hour again.
Finally, when Lexi got ready, the photographing began.
Edie immediately walked to the tripod to set up her camera.
At the moment, Lexi walked to Edie and opened her arms, like an ancient king, allowing others to put on a leather jacket for her.
"Are you Ceddie Jackson, that well-known photographer Miss Yates?"
"Yes."
"Wow. But you look just so so. Besides, you have such a scary scar on your face. Why did Carlos have a crush on you?" Lexi raved against her.
When Lexi said these words, Carlos was standing at a distance. His face flushed immediately. He finally realized why Lexi asked him to come here today. She wanted to irritate Edie.
He never got Edie before. When seeing Edie again, he felt so awkward.
Hearing those mean words from Lexi, he wanted to say some words for Edie. But at the moment, Edie replied, "He must be bad at appreciating beauty. I think that’s the reason he chose me."
Hearing Edie’s words, Lexi’s face changed immediately.
What did Edie mean? Did she infer that Lexi was also ugly? Did she mean that was the reason why Carlos dated her?
"What do you mean?"
"I think you know what I mean. I don’t have time to explain. Are you ready? We need to start now."
"No. I am angry now. I don’t feel well. Stop now," Lexi’s face changed. She crossed her hands on her chest and sat on the bench in the distance.
All the workers immediately panicked. The closing date was imminent, but the cover hasn’t finished. It was so urgent.
Hearing their words, Lexi raised the corner of her mouth and sneered, "Ask that photographer to come here. I want her to pour a cup of tea and apologize to me. Then I would start."
All workers froze. All photographers were cursed by her. Lexi fired those photographers either because they were not famous enough or they were bad at photographing. Therefore, the periodic office had no choice but to invite Edie to help them.
Edie was not their staff. They found someone to help them invite such a famous photographer. No one dared to ask Edie to apologize. No one dared to get Edie to feel wronged.
Besides, Edie never did anything wrong. It was Lexi that was jealous of Edie. It was Lexi that made everything difficult for Edie.
"Lexi, she is not our staff. We don’t have the right to ask her to do anything."
"I don’t care. You must ask her to apologize to me today. Otherwise, I would leave immediately," Lexi said in a self-willed tone.
"But ..."
Seeing this, Edie said, "I think I might also be fired today. That’s all right, and I could introduce you to another photographer. She is also quite good. She might be better than me in both photographing and photo processing. Why don’t you ask her to try? I can leave now to avoid more unhappiness."
"Miss Jackson...I am so sorry today...besides, it is not your..." the staff walked to her and tried to explain. She wanted to tell Edie that it was not her fault at all. It was Lexi’s problem.
Seeing this, Edie pressed her lips and smiled. She shrugged her shoulder to tell them she didn’t care about that.
"We would pay you. We are so sorry for wasting you such a long time."
"That’s all right. I’ve made some money today," Edie took her phone out and called another photographer. Unexpectedly, at the moment, Lexi suddenly said, "I don’t want other photographers. I want her. If she refused to apologize to me, I would quit this job immediately."
