Chapter 536: Chapter 536: Why Did You Hurt Her?
Aaron pulled those men away and walked to the office. He doesn’t care if Stuart’s men will kill him.
"Getaway. Stuart. You bastard." Aaron roared at him angrily. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"What the hell are you doing to Edie?" He screamed outside Stuart’s office to let him know how angry he was when he learned that Edie had suffered under his care. freēwēbnovel.com
Aaron already knew what Stuart’s done. Stuart dared to hurt the woman he protected with his own life. Aaron gave up that girl because he trusted Stuart. He didn’t expect Stuart dared to hurt this woman badly.
He should teach Stuart a lesson. He couldn’t accept any reason from him anymore. He can’t let Stuart hurt Edie furthermore.
Stuart opened the door and stood in front of Aaron.
"What are you doing here?" Stuart asked, though he already knew the answer. He manages to remain calm.
Except for William, no one knew he forgot anything, even Ivan and Mr. Bates didn’t know that he just pretended to have lost his memory.
Aaron made a twisted smile. Deep in his eyes were dark stares full of resentment against his brother.
"So, you really forget her." He mocked him.
"You mean Edie?" Stuart asked.
"Yes. Edie, the woman I let go because I thought you would take care of and protect her," His eyes even grew darker, ready to fight his brother.
Aaron kept smiling. He stood up and walked to Stuart.
Then he stopped smiling and caught Stuart’s collar, "you’ve made a great sacrifice to save her. You’ve loved her so deeply. And now you really forget her. You are such.... you are such a bastard. A total jerk!"
He poked Stuart’s with his sharp fingers hardly and provoked him to a fight.
Aaron suspected that Stuart already died. Otherwise, it was impossible for him to forget her. How could this man in front of him boldly said he forgot about the woman he loved most.
"What are you talking about? I don’t remember anything about her. Don’t waste your time here." Stuart said in a cold voice.
"All you care about now is Hicks, right?" Aaron asked coldly.
"Yes. After all, she is the woman I remember as a lover,"
Aaron looked at him, indifferently. He looked so extremely angry at Stuart’s calm face.
Now all Stuart cared about was Hicks. A wave of sudden anger came.
Aaron made a ridiculous smile.
Though he was smiling, he looked terrifying.
He squinted, and then...
He punched Stuart, hard. He hit him several times until Stuart spat blood.
If he didn’t hold Stuart’s collar, Stuart might already fall on the ground.
Stuart’s face was covered with red swelling and bruises.
Aaron’s finger accidentally cut the corners of his mouth.
Bleeding oozed out from his mouth. He never fights him back and lets his anger release against him.
Despite several bruises, Stuart still looked calm.
"You can hit me for her. Though I don’t remember her, I know I owe her something. I wanted you to hit me severely so I could pay what I owed to her,"
Bullshit! Stuart, didn’t I tell you last time to take care of her? Didn’t I tell you last time that I accepted defeat because I saw she loved you? Why? Why did you hurt her?" Aaron yelled at him.
Stuart didn’t answer. He upset her these days, deeply. He deserved this.
He couldn’t make up for her. If Aaron could hit him for her, he accepted it.
At least, he could feel the pain, mentally and physically.
He was willing to bear this for her. So he didn’t fight back.
Aaron laughed, "You owe her? But you remember nothing. I do this for me, not her. I love her. I also love her. But you love her more. So I gave up. If I knew you would be such a bastard, I would never give up. I won’t hit you for Edie. You owe her too much. You would never be able to make up for her."
"Since that, all you care about now is Hicks. We can talk about her. Stuart, you are quite clever. Are you sure that this woman is still the woman you loved?"
"What do you mean?" Stuart frowned.
"I can tell you the truth. Then you’ll know what kind of woman she is. Do you still remember what happened ten years ago? Do you still remember why I threw her in the ocean?"
"Because she begged me to help her."
Aaron told Stuart word by word.
Stuart’s beautiful eyes turned cold immediately.
It has been two o’clock in the afternoon when he walked out of the company. Sunlight in autumn was warm. He liked the warmth. It made him feel alive.
"Where are you going to go, Mr. Yates?" the driver asked him.
"Stuart’s flat. I want to visit my old friend."
"Important friend?"
The driver saw the smile on his face. Out of curiosity, he asked. But he immediately realized it was improper.
But Aaron didn’t get angry,
"Yes. Quite important. And interesting."
Edie was an interesting girl. He liked her.
It’s been quite a long time since he saw her last time.
She insisted on Donald for a whole year. She’s experienced everything. If Donald didn’t get married to Joanna, she might still chase after her. It was impossible for her to fall in love with anyone else.
She wouldn’t give up, as long as Stuart didn’t get married to Hicks.
She wanted to kill time. So she took the garden scissors and went into the greenhouse flower house in the garden.
Hicks followed her.
"Edie, when could you move out of Stuart’s room?" Hicks sounded anxious. She couldn’t stand Edie walking out of Stuart’s room every morning.
Everything in Stuart’s bedroom was Edie’s.
Though she believed Stuart, she didn’t believe Edie. Edie might do something to Stuart when the man fell asleep.
"After we divorce."
Edie replied without throwing her eyes.
"After your divorce? What if you still live here? Edie, I’ve already run out of my patience. I kept cooperating with you these days. Don’t push ahead."
"I don’t need you to cooperate with me," Edie made a provoking smile. Standing beside those roses, she looked gorgeous.
