After five minutes, they parked the car and found Edie under a hillside,
Stuart rushed to her and held her in his arms.
Her cheeks were bleeding and pale, like an enamel doll.
William drove the car. Stuart held Edie tightly in the vehicle.
He felt if he loosened hands, the girl in his arms might fade out in seconds. And he could lose her forever.

He kept murmuring. His heart was tortured. He wanted to scream, but he prevented himself and tried to calm down.
They arrived at the hospital soon.
After finishing a detailed examination, the doctor was sure that Edie was safe.
"Who is her family?" the doctor asked.
Stuart stood up immediately, "I am her husband. How’s she?"
The doctor looked angry, "Your wife has had a baby for more than a month. She almost had an abortion, and now her uterine wall is weak. Luckily she protected it well. But the baby is still quite dangerous. You should have paid more attention to her."
Stuart froze. He felt unbelievable, "what do you say?"
"She’s pregnant. Do you know about that?" the doctor got confused.
Stuart suddenly remembered those baby’s photos in their bedroom. Edie was pregnant. But he neglected all traces.
If he had known this, he would never have sent her away.
He wouldn’t throw her into any danger.
After the doctor left, William said coldly, "I know your feeling, I understand. But we’ve already started it. If we cancel it now, we will lose everything. Hicks is our best chance. All we have to do is to approach her and find the man behind."
His voice sounded like a ghost.
He knew Stuart’s love for Edie. He knew Stuart might want to change his decision.
"But, Edie..."
"Edie couldn’t leave now. So you have to keep pretending that you already forgot her. She couldn’t be the obstacle at this point. Otherwise...she would be used to threaten you. If you give up now, Edie and your baby might be killed by that man."
William’s warning was cold.
They made a long-term plan. The sooner they found the man behind, the better.
Stuart was clever. He knew what he should do.
But Edie was his weakness.

It was 2 o’clock in the afternoon when Edie woke up. She was in a hospital located outsiders of A city. She was told that a farmer found her and sent her here.
The farmer was William, of course.
She was in good condition. She didn’t lose her baby. Though her cheek’s wound remained, it would have recovered soon.
She was happy.
She wanted to see Stuart immediately and told him everything.
But when Edie got back to the Loyal Villa, Stuart was in the company. She was a little disappointed.
She wanted to call Stuart. But she couldn’t find her mobile phone. So she dialed her own number to find the phone. But Stuart answered the phone.
Edie was a little confused, "why do you have my mobile phone?"
Stuart answered, "you left it in my car."
"Did I go back home last night? Why did I stay in...." Didn’t Edie know how to ask him?
"Your friend picked you up last night. I agreed."
"Friend? Do you know her name?"
"No."

He had to divorce her, get married to Hicks, and spare no effort to find the man behind Hicks.
When he found there’s somebody behind, he decided to cooperate with William. So after waking up in the hospital, he lied to everyone.
As the heir of L.N. Group, he had his private life protected well. But the news was known by others immediately. Meanwhile, Hicks appeared in the hospital.
Everything looked so strange.
So he lied to everyone that he lost part of memory. He wanted to find the purpose of the man behind her.
This morning, Hicks finally told him what she wanted.
The passports of his safe and bank accounts.
In the safe were essential documents of L.N. Group. Except for the CEO, no one can touch these documents.
The man was quite ambitious. He wanted the whole cooperation.
Besides, William mobilized all his men to investigate. After half a month, they found the traffic accident causing his father’s death to be an intended murder.
If he didn’t divorce Edie, Edie would be thrown in endless danger. He’d rather lie to her to ensure her safety.
He also wanted to tell Edie everything. Edie would allow him to go abroad. And he didn’t have to upset her.
But he didn’t even know who was behind. If he sent her away at this point, it would be more dangerous for her.
Perhaps Edie would hate her after all this. But, as long as he could guarantee her safety, he was willing to sacrifice.
Her sobbing kept disturbing his mind.
He closed his eyes painfully. At the moment, someone knocked on his door,
"Mr. CEO. Your brother’s here. He wants to talk to you."
