Chapter 271: Chapter 271: She Was Devastated

Eddie didn’t know where Aaron was taking her. He was driving too fast and weaving in and out of the traffic. The speed of the car made Eddie feel like she was going to be sick. Aaron glanced at her frowning, pale face and chuckled, "Are you feeling a little sick?"

Eddie’s lips compressed into a thin line, and she didn’t say a word. She shivered, sensing something truly evil in his monotonous voice. Eddie noticed that he started to slow down.

"Hang on, and it won’t be long now. Probably about ten more minutes."

Eddie was a little surprised that Aaron told her they were almost there. She thought he was a selfish guy who only thought of himself. Eddie felt he was ignorant and rude for not taking her feelings into consideration.

Sadly, she didn’t have any reaction towards him at all as he made Eddie feel uncomfortable by forcing her to get in the car. Then suddenly her phone rang. Taking her phone out of her purse, she saw Jason William’s name on the screen.

Seeing Aaron looking at her phone, Eddie asks, "Are you going to allow me to answer my phone?"

With a smile pulling up the corner of his mouth, Aaron said, "Go ahead and answer. I told you I was just taking you out to enjoy some sightseeing for the day. I am not planning on doing anything for you. I know they are following me, and I don’t care."

Seeing Aaron look so confident made Eddie feel uncomfortable. She felt uneasy; a feeling of panic grew in her as she reached for the button and answered the phone. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"Are you all right? Has Aaron done anything to you?" The nervousness was apparent in Jason’s voice.

"No, he hasn’t...I am fine! He didn’t do anything to me. We are heading to the Bay...."

When Eddie was just about to tell Jason where they were going, she looked over at Aaron. He didn’t say a word as if he wasn’t afraid that they were following him. Seeing the expression on Aaron’s face, Eddie was relieved.

"Aaron was once a kind and gentle boy, but he has deteriorated completely. Currently, he is nothing more than an evil man. Be careful, and don’t take your eyes off of him," Jason spoke in a severe tone.

Hearing this, Eddie completely froze for a moment, and a look of panic crossed her face. She tries to console Jason and herself, "So far, he has been nothing but kind to me. I really don’t think he will hurt me."

After hearing Eddie say this to Jason, a slow smile worked its way across his face and into his eyes, and Aaron thought, "My attempt to lure her away from Stuart is working!"

Jason didn’t feel relieved; it only made him worry more about Eddie’s safety.

"Are you sure you want to know what happened ten years ago. I can tell you now. You make the decision."

Eddie swallowed and took a deep breath, "Okay, tell me. I need to know."

"The relationship between Aaron and Stuart has been complicated for a long time. Aaron constantly competed against Stuart. Stuart didn’t care until Aaron kidnapped Marina. She was imprisoned for seven days and seven nights. Marina was tortured and raped. To prevent her from resisting, they injected her body full of drugs. Stuart finally found her at an abandoned warehouse. He no sooner arrived, and Marina was thrown into the ocean."

"Before this, even though they had their differences, Stuart always treated Aaron as a brother and forgave him numerous times. But from that day on, they became enemies. You have no idea what he is capable of, do you? He is a monster, and you need to be careful. We are on our way now, so watch his every move."

While listening to Jason silently, Eddie turned pale. His words kept zooming through her mind, one thought after another. Jason told Eddie the story quickly and didn’t go into a lot of detail. Even though it was brief, Eddie was frightened.

She couldn’t imagine Aaron doing such horrible things, "Ten years ago, Aaron was just a young boy. He wasn’t even an adult, and he did this to a little girl. He was born to be a demon."

Eddie’s head was lowered, and she instantly looked over at Aaron. The look of shock on Eddie’s face was immediately picked up by Aaron. Aaron burst into laughter, "What did he tell you? You look so funny."

"How could you....."

Eddie’s voice was trembling. She didn’t know why. Perhaps it was because of the car sickness or the story she just heard. Having to be with him in the car drove her crazy. Eddie felt like she was going to be sick and wanted to get away from him.

"So, he told you about Marina, right? Asshole, he never cared about your feelings."

"Were you afraid of me finding out?"

Hearing her question, Aaron shrugged his shoulders, "No. I wasn’t afraid at all. If you want to achieve something, it is inevitable as there will always be consequences. Good or bad, it doesn’t matter. It just so happened that Marina was just one of them. But now everyone hates me. I hope you don’t hold this against me. Think about it. If Marina were still alive, you wouldn’t be his wife now. So look at it this way, I helped you."

Eddie never expected that he would say such a thing, and he didn’t even feel guilty. Since she was in the entertainment circle, she had seen much about human nature. But it wasn’t until this very moment that she really saw the wickedness of a human.

"For the sake of his own interest, he tortured and killed an innocent girl in the cruelest manner without any hesitation. Was he really a noble? Or was he just a demon."

Eddie was devastated, shocked beyond belief!

"You look a bit shocked?"

She was seeing the light disappear from her eyes, and her body was slightly trembling. Aaron suddenly stopped smiling. A frown formed on his face, and he reached over to check the temperature on her forehead. Eddie moved back immediately, and she pushed his hands away.

Aaron wasn’t expecting Eddie to do this, and he made a sudden jerk on the steering wheel. The car scraped against the side of a rock. He managed to get control of the vehicle again and calmly sat back in his seat. He saved the situation within a second.

Aaron didn’t look like he was frightened; it was as though he was used to danger. Being in such a severe incident, Aaron didn’t get upset with Eddie. All he said was, "Are you angry with me? Don’t be. It is not worth getting angry over the dead."
