As soon as Eddie and Stuart walked into the hall, all of the people stopped what they were doing and gaped in admiration. Of course, she wasn’t so narcissistic and thought they were all looking at Stuart. In amongst the crowd, there were a few people with a firm bitterness towards Eddie, which was particularly noticeable.
Eddie looked at all of the people, and suddenly she saw Anna. The minute Eddie saw how Anna was dressed, Eddie knew it was to impress Stuart. For a moment, they stared at one another, and sparks of fire were burning in the air. They did not attempt to conceal their hatred for each other.
Eddie showed no weakness and just nodded and smiled. Anna had a bitter smile, and suddenly her hands were tightly clenched into a fist. It was nothing but pure jealousy that guided her thoughts.
There were all the celebrities from the city at the party. Everyone knew Stuart, but not many of them were qualified to speak to him. Some of the directors of the companies voluntarily said hello to Stuart and boldly asked, "Master Yates, who is this beautiful woman?"
"This is my wife, Eddie Lara. She’s an actress with The Star Entertainment."
Stuart looked at Eddie and introduced her to the people. Stuarts’ mouth, which was always cold and tight, rose slightly with a subtle warmth under his eyes. It was evident that Stuart was proud of his wife, but Eddie being an actress, meant nothing to these tycoons.
You could tell by the tone of Stuart’s voice that he cared for Eddie very much. He didn’t care what others thought about her. Eddie heard Stuart introduce her in so much detail, which surprised her, and she looked up at him.
Eddie’s eyes widened, and she trembled with excitement. She could feel her cheeks getting warm and her face turning red. She turned her head and greeted the celebrities with a big smile as she shook their hands.

Everyone had smiles on their faces, but their minds flashed back to the aristocrat whose name was Lara. Of course, these people were accustomed to the sophisticated people, no matter what they thought, they would be polite and respectful to Eddie.
"Miss. Lara, nice to meet you."
"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lara!"
"Miss Lara and Master Yates, you are a perfect match!"
Eddie kept a respectful smile on her face and tried to be the best Mrs. Yates for Stuart. When someone handed Eddie a crystal glass to join her for a drink, Stuart reached out and blocked him.
"She can’t drink."
"Sorry if I offended you!"
The man quickly took the glass back, for fear that Stuart might be offended. Eddie stood there in stunned silence, feeling angry at Stuart, "Why can’t I have a drink? I don’t understand what the problem is for me to have only one or two drinks? Stuart, you are too picky, and it seems as though you don’t want me to drink with another man. What are you, jealous?"
Stuart wasn’t listening as he was talking to a journalist and several other people.
"My wife doesn’t want our marriage to affect her career. I don’t want to see any news about my wife in the news tomorrow, and I want you to do me a favor," Stuart said calmly to many of the tycoons in front of him.
"He wants a favor from us? What is this woman’s career as she is only an unknown actress? Stuart is afraid that this woman’s career may be affected when he is the CEO of a multimillion-dollar company. This is ridiculous, and he thinks too much of his wife!"
Such thoughts crossed their minds, but they immediately consented.
"Master Yates, don’t worry about it. It’s a piece of cake. Consider it already done."
"I understand Master Yates’s desire to protect your wife, and I will keep it a secret."
"Master Yates, no need to worry, I will never let an article about Mrs. Yates appear in tomorrow’s paper."
The tycoons gathered around and promised Stuart. Eddie knew he was doing this to protect her, and a smile touched the corner of her mouth. Seeing Stuart’s genuine kindness brought a warm joy and gratitude to her heart.
The tycoons came to see Stuart, but not for no small talk. They wanted to talk about business, but with Eddie standing by Stuart’s side, they didn’t dare to do so. Eddie immediately became interested in the tunnel of the castle, "I’m tired. I’ll sit for a while on the sofa next to you."
Stuart knew what Eddie meant. This was a castle, and Eddie wanted to explore it. Since the L.N. Group owned it, there was a lot of security, and there should be no danger to Eddie. So he did not prevent Eddie from going. He just said, "No drinking."

Anna didn’t want to see Hicks at all, even if she hadn’t seen her for years. Anna despised her and Eddie. She didn’t care what happened to either one of them; all she knew is she wanted them gone from Stuart’s life.
Anna sat down beside Eddie, looking a little lonely. She watched the figure of the man who was not far away. It was a long time before Anna withdrew her eyes. Her emotions were complicated, "Every time, no matter what the occasion, Stuart would always be the focus of the crowd. Even though he has always been so cold and aloof, he was always able to make people want to get close to him."
Eddie didn’t understand why Anna was talking to her about this, but she nodded in agreement.
"Stuart can be like the coldest ice in the world, but with a deadly attraction. Almost like poison. He can be addictive and hard to get rid of. Stuart is not a man like the sun, and on the contrary, he is as mysterious and dark as the night, so inaccessible and inquiring. Eddie, I want to know how did you get so close to him? Why did you suddenly appear in his life?"
Eddie didn’t know whether Anna had an inadvertent slip of the tongue or if it was a deliberate trick, but at least it proved that there was a woman who had approached Stuart.
