Annie was so confused and incoherent that her words and actions contradict one another. Surely Director Leach could not be so biased that he would not answer Eddie’s question. The door to the audition room opened again, an old man came out and asked Director Leach, "What’s going on? What happened?"

Eddie knew this person, and it was Mr. Mayfield. He was not a person from showbiz. Mr. Mayfield was a senior designer in the Fashion world. She assumed that he was there because Dior had a lot of trending products that were bought from him.

With his position in the fashion world and for him to attend the audition in person, the choice of the spokesperson was indeed significant. Director Leach briefly told Mr. Mayfield what was going on. For a moment, Mr. Mayfield simply glanced at the three people involved, and then he drew a deep breath.

Annie had never met Mr. Mayfield before, so she tried to win him over. Annie wanted him to like her and said to Mr. Mayfield, "Mr. Mayfield, they have framed me."

"As the young lady is not well, let her go lie down to rest. As for her image, it is not suitable for this audition. The other two ladies if they would like? You can continue and attend the audition."

Mr. Mayfield smiled faintly. Director Leach immediately lowered his head and agreed. Mr. Mayfield turned around and started to go back into the audition room. Annie had no idea what to do.

There was no way she was going to let them cancel her audition, and it was hers. With tears in her eyes, she looked up at the men while struggling with her emotions. Annie was smiling, but unsure of what to say. Reluctantly she grabbed Mr. Mayfield’s shirt.

Her pulse and respiration in a race, Annie stopped him and hastily said, "Mr. Mayfield, they tried to hurt me. Aren’t you going to do anything about it?"

Having been touched by a stranger, Mr. Mayfield looked at her with disgust. Eddie knew how rude Annie was and when she saw Annie’s reactions, Eddie was confident that Mr. Mayfield would not be pleased. Mr. Mayfield removed Annie’s hand from his shirt, he stepped back and observed her with a frown, " What is it that you would like me to do? This is a company, not a court."

There was an undisguised tone of annoyance in his voice. Then he went straight back to the audition room. Director Leach and Annie’s agent stopped and looked at her with disgust. Then Mr. Leach said to the actresses, "Please line up and keep the audition going."

They instantly went back to their place in the lineup. As they walked into the room, they all looked at Annie observantly and sympathetically. Annie stood there for a moment, wondering what she should do.

She had no idea that things would get so out of control, then all of a sudden, she clutched her stomach. She doubled over in pain and sank to her knees. There Annie sat all alone.

Eddie was in no mood to talk to Hicks after this incident. She didn’t know if she was overly sensitive or not. The only reason Annie had confronted Eddie was that of the unpleasant situation between Annie and Hicks.

She could understand Hicks’s behavior. Since Hick’s was an inexperienced young actress, she subconsciously pulled another colleague into the argument between her and Annie. Eddie thought the only reason why Hick’s did it was because she was confronted by another cast member who was more famous than her.

Eddie thought that without her help that Hicks would have no chance for the audition. She felt uneasy about the whole situation and thought that maybe Hicks was not as innocent as she appeared to be.

The women were going through the audition quickly, and finally, it was Eddie’s turn. She stood up, and Hicks smiled at her as if nothing had happened, "Eddie, come on. It’s your turn, good luck."

Eddie nodded politely. As it was such a big brand like Dior, the audition was not at all what she had expected. There was just a plain table set up, and sitting in the back were seven people who were doing the interviews. Eddie looked up and glanced briefly at them and noticed that they were all celebrities.

She did not have much hope in getting the role for this audition. As an international brand, Dior valued the status of the spokesperson, so they would not choose a small star with little status. This time, Eddie came with the mentality of learning and accumulating experience; therefore, she did have a strong sense of gain.

Eddie took a deep breath to steady her nerves, lowered her head, and smiled, "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I’m Eddie from Star Entertainment."

Mr. Mayfield’s face softened, and his lips turned up in a half-smile. The primary interviewer, who was a middle-aged man, sat in the middle. He glanced at Eddie, looking her up and down and then said, "Welcome to the audition. The subject of your audition is the girl who first used perfume. There is a bottle of perfume on the table in front of you."

Eddie knew she didn’t have much time to think. She tried to control the thoughts that were racing through her mind. She took a few steps forward and reached for the perfume to smell it. Each woman that came into the audition to smell the perfume had a different reaction.

Eddie had read the script that was given to her by Danny. The main fragrance of the Dior perfume was based on the white lily of the valley, which had a light and elegant smell and was suitable for young girls with a pure temperament. All the advertising stars or spokespersons were essentially salespeople.

No matter how beautiful the actress was, her performance was crucial because if it could not get the audience’s attention, then there would be no way the public would be interested in the product. Eddie thought about it for a moment and slowly picked up the bottle of perfume again. The bottle of perfume was made of crystal glass.

Eddie slightly raised the bottle, and out of curiosity, she looked back and forth. Then she lifted the perfume and sprayed it in the air. It spread in the air with a fine mist like a single gentle rain.

As soon as Eddie pressed the nozzle, she found out that the perfume was not perfume at all, it was only water!
