Chapter 209: Chapter 209: Hick’s Came

Danny was looking for Eddie while she was on vacation. She still hadn’t made a name for herself as the movie The White Love Song has not yet been released.

He pulled out a file and handed it to her. Eddie took it from his hand and looked through it quickly. It was an advertising script.

It was for the newest perfume series of international first-line brand Dior. A female spokesperson was recruited as the publicity ambassador of Asia. She looked at the advertisement request, and they were in need of a female star with a pure temperament.

Eddie swallowed, panic fluttering through her, "Oh my, it’s for Dior, the usual spokesperson are celebrities. There’s no way, and I can’t do that."

"Laurence Leaner is the man who shot this commercial. He is a friend of mine. He asked me if I had any recommendations and gave me an audition slot. I thought it would be perfect for you. You deserve it, Eddie doesn’t be so hard on yourself."

Thankfully Eddie was used to Danny’s talking style and didn’t care. Her face was excited as she held the contents in her hands, "Thank you, you are the best sister."

As they spoke, there was a knock on the door. Danny said, anxiously, "Come in."

The door to the office opened, and a shy man walked in. He bowed to both of them, "Hello Danny, Hello Eddie."

Eddie was shocked as she had never had someone bow to her before, "Oh, Miss Gould. It’s so nice to see you again."

Gould was an assistant to Danny’s, and he was just like him. He was also gay, and he was effeminate who was nicknamed "Miss Gould." He worked with Eddie for a while until she took some time off.

"For the next few days, I will be working with you because Rhoda’s mother is sick, and she’s taking some time off.

"The audition is only being held for two days, and there is one this afternoon," added Danny as if he forgot to tell her. She stood up from her seat very quickly, suddenly feeling very nervous, "Why didn’t you tell me earlier?"

Danny just sat there staring at her with a blank look on his face, "I didn’t know you were going on vacation, not to mention when you would be back."

She remembered the days when she used to wait in lineups for auditions, but she was a supporting actress in The White Love Song, and everything was always taken care of by the cast. Now she was a bit unaccustomed to waiting in line for an audition like all of these young actresses.

Eddie was well aware of the things she has enjoyed, the things Stuart had brought to her, and the things that he had done for her. She had come to appreciate the luxurious lifestyle.

She took a closer look at the women standing around her and noticed that there were quite a few famous actresses in the line. All of them seemed to be just as reluctant as her to be standing there, waiting for such a long time. Eddie straightened her skirt, got a number and took Gould, and stood in line.

They were all standing in the hallway, and it was very narrow. There was a certain restlessness in the crowd, and everyone suddenly started to push and shove. An actress who was standing in front of Eddie was about to fall down, luckily Eddie had a sharp eye and caught her before she fell.

"I’m from The Star Entertainment media. My name is Eddie. How about you?"

The woman in front of her nodded and smiled shyly, "My name is Hicks Day."
