Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Secret Realm

On the mountaintop, the four or five people who were supposed to enter Secret Realm No. 1 with Andre sat on a rocky platform, all of them panting for breath.

"It’s been too long. All the Witchcraft on the mountaintop has worn off."

Someone stomped hard on the Witch Array module beneath their feet, venting their frustration.

"Alright, that’s enough. Just how pathetically weak are all of you?"

Just then, someone appeared on the summit. Looking at Andre and the others lying on the ground, they began to criticize them.

"Lady Diana, why don’t you try climbing up from the base of the mountain and show us? This has to be 5,000 meters, right?" Andre said, looking directly at Diana.

"Andre, you—" Diana stared at Andre for talking back to her. She opened her mouth, wanting to scold him, but when she thought about his and the others’ backgrounds, she closed it again.

Everyone present who was about to enter Secret Realm No. 1 was a descendant of the academy’s top brass.

The leaders of the group were Andre and a girl standing four or five meters to his left.

She was the great-granddaughter of the Vice Dean, Krell.

At birth, her Spiritual Power Talent was tested as Level 5, and at the age of eight, she awakened her own Talent Witchcraft.

In terms of Talent, she was on par with Andre.

’Alright, all of you, come over here.’ Diana sighed inwardly and had Andre and the others gather together.

Andre and the others got up and stood together, looking at Diana.

"Andre!" "Here!" "Selena!" "Here!" Selena, Krell’s great-granddaughter, called out.

"Quint!" "Here!" a tall boy answered.

"Litt!" "Here!" answered another boy.

"Jesse!" "Here!" This was a girl.

"Ferguson!" "Here!" This was a boy.

All six of them were present.

"Take out your Tokens and prepare to enter the Secret Realm."

Diana said, looking at the six of them. They nodded and each took out their own Token from within their robes.

"After you enter Secret Realm No. 1, the Rules of the realm will separate you. You must find each other as quickly as possible and rely on your combined Power to survive. Understand?"

Seeing that all six had taken out their Secret Realm Tokens, Diana began to explain the precautions for their time inside.

After she finished speaking, Diana and the other Official Wizards began to cast their Witchcraft and activate the Witchcraft Curse Seal to open the entrance to the Secret Realm.

As several rays of light from the Witchcraft shot into the sky, the entrance to the Secret Realm slowly opened.

At the same time, six beams of light shot out from the Secret Realm, shining upon the six Tokens and pulling Andre and the other five into the realm.

After the last one, Jesse, had entered, the Secret Realm immediately closed.

"Secret Realm No. 1 has been sealed for 2,600 years. I wonder how many treasures are inside." freewebnøvel.coɱ

Standing beside Diana, a Wizard named Litt looked enviously in the direction of the Secret Realm.

"Although there might be treasures in Secret Realm No. 1, it’s also very dangerous."

"If the great Star Speaker hadn’t made a prophecy and chosen the six of them, there’s no way it would have been their turn to enter a Secret Realm that’s been sealed for 2,600 years!"

The Wizard on Diana’s other side, a woman named Linda, had jealousy written all over her face.

"The Star Speaker is a Wizard who has mastered the Prophetic Element. His choices are rarely wrong. Let’s just wait here."

As Diana spoke, she took a tent from her Storage Ring and began to set it up.

Litt and Linda also took out their own tents, setting them up on the mountaintop to wait for Andre and the others to return from the Secret Realm.

Inside the Secret Realm, Andre found himself in mid-air. He quickly cast the Gentle Wind Technique, making his body light enough to drift with the wind and land on a tall tree.

’So this is my ancestor’s Divine Kingdom Fragment.’

Andre tucked the Token into his clothes and gazed at the world his ancestor had created.

Then he took out a roll of parchment and unfurled it to look at their mission for this trip.

The parchment described the size of Secret Realm No. 1: it was 50 km long and 38 km wide, an enormous area.

Many Magical Beasts and wondrous races lived within this region, making it like a small world separate from the Senbai World.

The mission for the six of them on this trip was to record the species of Magical Beasts and wondrous races living in Secret Realm No. 1.

It was similar to the mission issued by Vice Dean Krell in the Task Hall, but far more dangerous.

Because Secret Realm No. 1 had been sealed for 2,600 years, there was no guarantee that the Magical Beasts and wondrous races inside were the same as before.

To help them record these Magical Beasts and wondrous races, the academy had given each of the six apprentices several Recording Crystals and a Storage Ring, specifically for documenting what they saw.

Andre took a Recording Crystal from his Space Ring, activated the Witchcraft inscribed on it, and placed it on his backpack to begin recording everything he saw.

Inside Secret Realm No. 1, the sun was setting, and night was about to fall.

’First, I need to find a safe place to practice. The mission duration is one month.’

Andre put the parchment away in his Storage Ring and used the power of Witchcraft to descend from the tree.

The moment he landed, Andre sensed something was wrong. He whipped his head around to see a giant insect staring at him.

’A Scythe Centipede. A Magical Beast at the Elementary Wizard Apprentice level. They usually live in groups.’

Andre identified it in the blink of an eye. He immediately cast a Gentle Wind Technique on himself and pulled a Witchcraft Scroll from his backpack, clutching it in his hand.

While the Scythe Centipede before him had yet to figure him out, Andre slowly backed away.

After Andre had taken a few steps back, the Scythe Centipede let out a screech and charged at him. The commotion woke up the other Scythe Centipedes that were sleeping nearby.

"Elemental Impact!" Watching the Scythe Centipede charge at him, Andre instantly tore the Witchcraft Scroll in his hand. A four-colored Light Bomb shot out from the Scroll and blew the Scythe Centipede’s head apart, leaving only the two large, scythe-shaped fangs in its mouth.

The other Scythe Centipedes, having just woken up, felt the fluctuations of the Elemental Impact and froze in place.

Andre seized the opportunity and, with the aid of the Gentle Wind Technique, quickly fled. Before long, however, the Scythe Centipedes were chasing after him.

But after Andre leaped into a river, the Scythe Centipedes could no longer sense his presence and were forced to stop and search the surrounding area.

’Good, good, I got away... A Forest Water Python?’

Andre followed the current for over a hundred meters before getting back on shore.

The moment he stepped onto the bank, a massive figure appeared before him. A Forest Water Python at the High Level Wizard Apprentice stage had locked its eyes on him.
