Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Secret Realm

’Did something major happen at the academy that I don’t know about?’

Andre’s heart sank. Although he never actively sought out friends, word that he was Radak’s apprentice had long since spread among the previous year’s new bloods, the cohort before them, and even the one before that.

Because of this, many Wizard Apprentices would come looking for him, asking for help finding information or trying to get on his good side.

Through these interactions, he was able to stay well-informed about the academy’s situation without ever leaving his room.

’But that wasn’t the main point. The real question was how this Curry in front of me knew I had taken a stimulant Spirit Potion.’

"How did you know I took a Potion?"

As he asked this, Andre’s eyes narrowed. The Potions a Wizard took, the Witchcraft they practiced, and the Witchcraft Artifacts they used were all personal secrets, not things that outsiders would normally know.

"You don’t know? People who take a stimulant Spirit Potion get bloodshot eyes for a short time and give off a specific scent!"

Sensing a change in Andre’s demeanor, Curry blinked and took a step back before explaining.

"I see! Looks like I’ll have to ask my teacher for a book on Magic Potion Science when I get back."

Andre blinked and said no more.

"Curry, what are you all trying to do?"

Just then, several tall figures emerged from behind Curry and his group.

"Master Lian!" Curry froze upon hearing the voice. He slowly turned around, and his body began to tremble as he faced the speaker. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

"Forcing people into a sale? I don’t recall the teachers teaching you that!"

Lian walked over to Andre’s side and crossed his arms, looking like he was about to serve justice on Andre’s behalf.

"No, no, I wasn’t! I was just asking if he had any extra Potions and if he was willing to sell one to me."

Curry became so flustered at the sight of Lian that he started to stammer.

"It’s best you weren’t. He’s not someone you can afford to offend. Not if you want to keep studying Witchcraft and gaining knowledge at this academy." fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

Lian’s expression softened for a moment, then hardened again.

"Ah!" Curry and the others’ eyes widened in an instant. A rumor came to mind. ’No way, are we that unlucky? Did we really just provoke *that person’s* only apprentice?’

"Go, go, go!" The person behind Curry gave him a shove, and they scrambled to get away.

Curry snapped out of his daze and hastily fled.

"Andre, if you ever run into this kind of trouble again, just use my name!"

Lian watched Curry and his cronies scramble away before giving Andre his assurance.

But Andre’s expression turned exceptionally strange.

’Why does this scene look so familiar?’

’It’s just like a scene from a gangster drama in my past life, where the boss protects his subordinate. But did he need anyone to protect him?’

’His teacher’s name alone was enough to scare off everyone except for a few vice deans and the dean himself.’

"Lian, have a lot of people been trying to buy stimulant Spirit Potions at the academy recently?"

Andre blinked, looking at Lian as he asked.

"You really don’t know?"

Hearing this, Lian looked at Andre with surprise.

"I don’t. I’ve been in my room practicing my Meditation Technique recently."

Andre nodded, affirming that he really had no idea.

"The New Blood Secret Realm is about to open."

"The New Blood Secret Realm? Which one?"

Andre was baffled. The records he had seen in the Wizard Inheritance Hall mentioned more than one New Blood Secret Realm.

"Isn’t there only one?"

Hearing Andre’s words, Lian also realized something was off.

’According to Andre, the academy has more than one New Blood Secret Realm?’

"As far as I know, the academy has five New Blood Secret Realms of varying sizes. The largest can hold 300 people at once, and even the smallest can hold 50."

"Which one is opening this time?"

"The one that always opens is the smallest one?"

Andre scratched his head. The only reason he knew about the academy’s Secret Realms was because he had specifically looked for information on them. After all, the knowledge inherited through his Bloodline directly stated that his ancestors had left behind a legacy for him.

And in the Wizard World, the safest, most hidden method to preserve treasures in a way that those stronger than you can’t find them is to create a Secret Realm.

He had discovered that the academy possessed five New Blood Secret Realms while searching for this very information.

Lian’s way of looking at Andre changed. He had always thought the academy only had one New Blood Secret Realm. He never imagined there were five. If not for Andre’s words, he might have gone his whole life without knowing.

’What else is there about the academy that I don’t know?’

Lian’s eyes darted back and forth. As a High Level Wizard Apprentice at his peak, he was only half a step away from becoming an Official Wizard.

Under such circumstances, most places in the academy should have been open to him, yet he knew nothing about the other New Blood Secret Realms.

"I remember now. The reason the academy always opens the smallest of the New Blood Secret Realms is because they can’t recruit enough new blood."

"So, after the Twilight of the Gods, they would always open the two smallest ones. Later, as the number of talented individuals dwindled, they sealed the other four Secret Realms, leaving only the very smallest one in use."

Andre shook his head, recalling the contents of the *Record of the Academy’s Secret Realms* from his mind.

This book recorded the Secret Realms of the White Sea Wizard Academy, its Senbai World Branch, the Main Institute, and several other nearby world branches.

Ordinarily, Andre wouldn’t have been qualified to view this book. But who could deny him, with such a good teacher? In the Wizard Inheritance Hall, everything was open to Andre, except for materials concerning the level of Official Wizards.

Even the materials on the level of Official Wizards were accessible to him if he really wanted to see them.

The reason he didn’t look, however, was his fear that the Truths of others contained within these Official Wizard-level materials would interfere with his own Ladder of Truth.

"Ever since I came to the academy, that’s the only one that has ever been opened!"

After hearing Andre’s explanation, the corner of Lian’s mouth twitched. Back when his generation of new bloods entered, they had fought relentlessly to seize the resources within the Secret Realm.

Several people even had their arms and legs broken inside the Secret Realm.

If the academy had opened one of the larger Secret Realms back then, perhaps the competition for resources wouldn’t have been so fierce.

"I’ll go back and ask my teacher!"

Andre blinked and headed straight for the cafeteria. On his way there and back, he overheard many people discussing the upcoming opening of the Secret Realm.

For the new bloods, this was one of the few ways to obtain resources at the academy without having to pay a price.
