Late afternoon, Richard was finally able to escape his punishment for a moment.
But his escape did not come without a cost, he was now in a meeting with three women.
Tanya Fowler, the leader of Nova Munda, one of the three strongest Mystical organizations in America.
Yuna Seok, a clairvoyant, information dealer and powerhouse in the Asian mystical community.
Morgana, an ancient witch who was from the same generation as Merlin, currently under the command of Richard Rex.
These three women were the reason Richard was able to escape the punishment.
Though his punishment was not officially terminated, he was able to get some rest as not a single witch was brave enough to try and "share" with the three leaders.
Moreover, Morgana aside, the other two were unofficial members of Richard’s still unnamed group.
Although it should have been normal and even easy for Richard to turn them into his confidants, Tanya was a deadweight who would drag along Nova Munda with her. Taking her in would be the same as taking in Nova Munda and Richard didn’t want to deal with that.

In essence, if one looked at the two as simple women-
Tanya was a woman who shouldered a large family with her while Yuna was just a dangerous "landmine" woman.
One would bring tons of problems with her, the other was inherently problematic.
Because of their situation, the two were basically pushed away by Richard and ignored but now?
Cindy’s punishment did not add any clause that removed them from being part of the "witches".
Richard was of course well aware of that but he didn’t really plan to let Cindy’s punishment extend to the two.
The punishment he was undergoing was not simply a result of CIndy’s demand, Richard himself was accepting the punishment willingly but even that would have some boundaries.
Yuna and Tanya were well aware of that and Morgana too knew that she wouldn’t be able to command Richard just because Cindy gave him a punishment.
So why did they drag him to this meeting room and give him some rest time?
It surely wasn’t because Richard called them, instead, they came with a rather interesting proposition.
"You want to take over B City?"
Morgana found a deep interest in B city, while the rest of the province was as boring as the rest of the country, B city was especially attractive to her due to the nature of how the people in it think.
Morgana had long wished to create a paradise where mystics, non-mystics and mystical beings could coexist.
Merlin was against that idea and had a different plan for the world which is what caused their fallout.
Of course, Morgana was not going to give that kind of explanation.
All she told Richard was that she wanted to experiment on creating such a world.
Since the truth of the past had long been erased and only a few knew the real situation of that time, Morgana was sure that she could create the paradise of her dreams in this place.
Starting with B City, she could expand the range.
Masked under a title such as "Urban Development" and "City Expansion", she could use B City as a core and slowly spread her paradise till it swallowed the whole country!
Again, Morgana only told Richard of her plans to take over B City, moreover, the plan she outlined was perfectly crafted with all their manpower in mind.
The control over Samantha and the potential to use B City as the center of their takeover of the local mystical community-
"Sounds good, how about we run this past Samantha first? You’ve seen B City for barely a day but Samantha and her people have been living in this country for their whole lives"
Following Richard’s suggestion, Samantha was called and Serenity came with her-
"I’ was born and raised in B City, I believe I could be of service to you all"
Serenity who had already been healed said with a bow before quickly crawling under the table and positioning herself in between Richard’s legs.
"Find a seat, this is a meeting not an orgy"
"Yes!"
Serenity did not show a flustered expression and only nodded obediently and sat next to Richard as her hand reached out towards his crotch.
"Calm yourself"
Richard commanded Serenity who nodded and pulled her hand back as he felt the glare of Cindy who also sat next to him.
See?
He could tell what her eyes were saying without even looking but he cleared the air of the room by making a sound of clearing his throat-
"Ahem"
With everyone returning to the core of the discussion and putting the small scene of Serenity acting up to the back of their minds, a proper discussion about the plan to take over B city started but-
"There are a lot of spirits and ghosts in B city and the surrounding provinces, while B city isn’t anyone’s territory, it’s become the hub for these beings but due to the recent events... the movement of these beings have completely halted to prevent the exposition of magic to the citizens..."
Samantha explained the current situation.
While the Philippines was lacking strong mystical groups with powerful spells and techniques. They did not lack mystical powers and belief.
In fact, the Philippines was home to a large population of "believers".
Whether it was religious piety, belief or other forms of mystics, the people of the nation, even the most learned scientist believed in mystics.
Top scientists would pray and talk about providence not as simple lip service to a population of devout believers but because they themselves were believers.
Ghost stories still continue to grow and evolve not because there were writers who were adept at writing such tales but because the people themselves believed that such things were true and not mere fantasy.
Even the most prestigious universities have a strong belief in supernatural forces.
Students have a genuine fear of doing things that would delay their graduation, some do not completely rely on studying and even add on some beliefs on "how to avoid failure".
Oversea’s, many believe such things as ways to calm the mind or adapt to bad situations and many rational individuals in the Philippines also believe that to be the case. But there is a larger group of people that believe that such things are true.
After all, sometimes things could go badly-
A storm could hit and a blackout causes you to lose all your data-
A storm could hit and the flood would wipe out your experimental farm, destroy the lab or cause a blackout that disrupts the incubation of your specimens-
A storm could come and...
Most of the problems are caused by natural disasters, mostly storms that enter the Philippines, even if only 9 out of the 20 do hit land mass, the pull of the storm along with the strong monsoon winds cause the nation to experience a dangerous season for a third of the year.
The country experiences an almost yearly disaster cycle and it would usually affect the whole nation.
Because of that, despite getting used to disaster and continuously needing to rebuild, the people of the nation also developed a kind of mentality that helps them adapt to such a situation.
Since we are sure to experience problems, all we could hope for is that luck is on our side and we don’t get hit too hard
Such a mentality is what fuels these beliefs.
And these beliefs form a strong force that is not controlled by any mystical organization.
Instead, the mystical force that blooms from the combined will of the nation’s people fuels the birth and sustenance of various mystical beings.
Samantha did not explain that, instead, such an explanation is the result of Tanya, Yuna, Morgana, Cindy and Richard piecing together information given by Samantha and Serenity to form a hypothesis of what was happening.
Of course, the five mystics did not know that their guess was right on the mark.
What they didn’t know was that the ancient deities that had walked the land of the nation were also in the equation.
Unaware of the ancient history of the nation outside of the Spanish Occupation, the five mystics failed to realize that they would likely have to deal with deities as well-
"So we only need to subdue the mystical beings in the surrounding provinces?"
Richard directed everyone to the TV that had been rolled into the meeting room as he used a private and detailed map of the nation taken from satellite images of various agencies to start mapping out their plans.
"Quite small"
"Should be easy, Texas is larger and I searched the land for mystical beings and got everyone within a month once"
"The UK is smaller than the whole country but I travelled through Europe once, the wars and conquest at that time were long but that was on a larger scale and involved complete annihilation of your foe as the only way to win"
The three had different things to say but all of them had the same idea-
B City is small, it should be easy
With that, the five man mystic council started to write up their plan to conquer a city, meanwhile, the two local witches could only watch silently as their words were worthless as all they could do was show just how weak the local mystics were.
