Chapter 587: Chapter 586: Confession (2)
The warm yellow streetlights in the neighborhood stretched Archer Quinn’s shadow out long, giving it a somewhat blurred and distorted appearance.
Bella Acker didn’t understand why he suddenly stopped while walking, and just stared at him in a daze.
Archer Quinn also gazed at her, and after a while, he seemed to have finally made up his mind.
"Bella..."
"Hmm?" Bella was puzzled, "Senior Quinn, what’s wrong? Did you eat something bad?"
"No." Archer Quinn continued to look at her, his voice that initially sounded a bit tense gradually softened, "Bella, would you let me be the father of the child in your belly?"
"?" Bella was a bit taken aback, "Senior Quinn, you want to be the godfather?"
Actually, she already vaguely sensed something else, but subconsciously chose to ignore it.
Archer shook his head, "Not a godfather, just a father. Bella, I want to take care of you. Would you allow me to take care of you?"
The words were already quite straightforward, and if Bella still didn’t understand, she would really be pretending to be confused.
"Senior Quinn, you..." Bella widened her eyes.
She had always seen Senior Quinn as a good friend, even like a very caring older brother, never imagining he could have such feelings for her.
Bella was somewhat at a loss from this sudden confession, instinctively averting her gaze, not daring to look at Archer Quinn again.
Archer Quinn confessed with a do-or-die attitude, "Bella, I don’t even know how to say it. Maybe you think I’m a good person, and you can see I’m nice to everyone, but ever since I met you, I discovered some kindness I want to give only to you. Good news, the first person I want to share it with is you. When I think of doing things together, you’re the first person that comes to mind. When I see a beautiful painting, I think of you. When I hear a lovely song, I think of you. I know you have someone you like in your heart, but I still want to fight for myself, I don’t want to wrong myself, nor do I want to regret it in the future."
As Archer spoke, he took out his phone, turning on the screen to unlock it, and the lit up screen saver was a photo of a girl slightly lifting her head and smiling towards the sun.
"Isn’t this the photo taken during that variety show? Didn’t you say you already... already deleted it..." Bella’s eyes widened slightly.
"I didn’t delete it." Archer glanced at the screen and put away his phone, "I just wanted to keep this photo to myself."
Seeing the usual gentle smile on his face, Bella suddenly felt a pang of bitterness, and for a moment didn’t know what to say.
After a while, she finally spoke, "Senior Quinn, you’re a really nice person, always so warm to others, but..."
Archer interrupted her, "I know you might think I can be nice to anyone. But Bella, you don’t know, some kindness I only want to share with you, some warm things I only want to do for you. Even if I know you will refuse, I couldn’t bear to offer it to anyone else. I never thought I could be this impulsive, but feelings are uncontrollable, like is just like. Bella, can you give me a chance, let me take care of you?"
Bella didn’t know exactly when Archer started having feelings for her, but in her heart...
"I’m sorry, Senior Quinn."
Much like him, she had some warm things she only wanted to experience with that person. Even if that person didn’t cherish it, she couldn’t bear to share it with anyone else.
