Chapter 565: Chapter 564: Better Safe Than Sorry
"It’s okay." Bella calmed down, took out her phone and made a call, "Ms. Young, I might encounter a bit of trouble."
On the other end, Cynthia Young seemed to be flipping through some documents, "Give me the specifics."
Bella recounted the incident where Cecilia Lynch arranged to meet her and then deliberately fell down the stairs, "The café’s waiter saw it too. Cecilia targeted me with this and won’t let it go easily."
"I understand." Cynthia said, "You’re still at that café, right?"
"Yes, still here."
Cynthia calmly instructed, "Take some photos and send them to me, especially of the stairs. Don’t forget."
"Alright." Bella hung up and took several photos of the café to send to Cynthia.
Beside her, Judy Zimmerman also took out her phone to snap some photos and quickly posted on Weibo, "Came to have coffee with friends today, and a friend accidentally fell down the stairs. Praying for her safety." Below, she attached a photo of the café stairs and a cartoon of a praying figure.
She was right next to her, and Bella also saw her Weibo post.
Judy put away her phone, saying, "Better safe than sorry."
"Thank you." Bella expressed her gratitude.
Judy posting this Weibo was much better than Bella posting it herself. When the time comes and if Cecilia stirs up trouble, having Judy’s Weibo would help with public relations.
"It’s my job, no need to thank me." Judy said, "Shall we go to the magazine photoshoot studio now?"
"Yes."
Bella went to shoot a magazine cover. She could focus while working, but whenever she took a break, she couldn’t help but think about Cecilia’s situation in the hospital.
She found it strange that Cecilia said she wasn’t pregnant, yet she bled when she fell. Could it be she was indeed pregnant but the child wasn’t Damian’s?
After finishing the magazine cover shoot, it was already noon. Bella was about to take Judy for lunch when her phone rang.
Bella took out her phone and saw it was Nanny Lloyd calling.
Could something have happened to Aunt Sienna? Bella’s heart tightened, and she quickly answered, "Hello, Nanny Lloyd."
"Ms. Acker, Aunt Sienna’s condition isn’t looking good. Can you rush back to the hospital now?"
It really was Aunt Sienna in trouble.
Bella felt a pang in her heart, "I’m on my way back now."
Judy asked, "Is it about Aunt Sienna?"
Bella nodded, tears welling up.
Judy said, "Bella, try to think positively. Aunt Sienna has been suffering for so long; she’s in pain."
"I know. I just... can’t bear to let her go." Bella lowered her gaze. She knew Aunt Sienna was enduring the pain every day, but at least she was still alive, and she knew Aunt Sienna was always there for her.
No matter how busy work was, when she returned to the hospital, Aunt Sienna would always have a word with her. Without her, home would be cold and empty, with no one to confide in.
Judy watched in empathy, stepped forward, and patted her arm, saying, "I’ll take you to the hospital first, and I’ll help you take leave from Ms. Young."
"Okay, thank you, Piggy."
"If you keep being so polite, I won’t be happy with you."
Bella barely managed a smile, "I just feel that no one is obligated to be nice, whether it’s you or Ms. Young or Ms. Flynn. You all take care of me so much, and I’m really grateful in my heart."
"Alright, let’s get to the hospital."
