Chapter 563: Chapter 562: Don’t Hold Her

Cecilia Lynch looked pained, speaking with great emotion.

Damian Sinclair said expressionlessly, "I’m not a doctor, I can’t promise you anything."

At his words, Cecilia Lynch looked at him, her heart sinking into despair.

What she wanted wasn’t a doctor’s assurance, she just wanted his promise.

He couldn’t possibly misunderstand, but he just wasn’t willing to give her the commitment that even if the child was lost, he would still marry her.

"Hey, hey!"

The ambulance quickly arrived, stopping right at the stairway entrance. The medical staff brought in a stretcher, "Where is the injured person?"

As Damian Sinclair was about to bend down to pick up Cecilia Lynch, Bella Acker suddenly ran down the stairs, grabbing his wrist, and said, "Don’t pick her up!"

Cecilia Lynch said nothing, the blood still flowing from her forehead, her face pale.

Bella Acker ignored this, she just held onto Damian Sinclair’s arm, not letting him carry Cecilia Lynch.

What Cecilia Lynch did today was clearly premeditated. She had arranged separate meetings with her and Damian, then after Damian arrived, deliberately fell down the stairs, creating the appearance that Bella had intentionally pushed her.

Cecilia Lynch did this simply to drive a wedge between her and Damian, making Damian feel that she was a cruel woman.

So she couldn’t let Damian take Cecilia away; she needed to clarify things.

Damian Sinclair looked at Bella Acker, and their eyes met.

One gaze was unreadable, while the other was filled with pleading.

Cecilia Lynch was gripping Damian Sinclair’s other wrist tightly, neither letting go, the three seemed to be locked in a silent standoff.

"The patient needs treatment, what are you doing?" The medical staff frowned, disapprovingly looking at Bella Acker, and said, "The patient has lost so much blood, do you think she won’t bleed to death? Can’t you resolve any issues after sending her to the hospital first?"

Bella Acker was stunned. Before Damian Sinclair could speak, she had already released his hand and said softly, "Sorry, please take her to the hospital first."

Damian Sinclair glanced at her, then turned to the medical staff and said, "Please put her on the stretcher."

The medical staff took one look at Cecilia Lynch’s complexion and frowned deeper, "Isn’t this your girlfriend?" They believed this was a story of a scumbag who had a girlfriend but was seeing someone else on the side, with Cecilia being the pitiable significant other and Bella Acker the despicable other woman.

Tsk tsk, it was unexpected that a man who looked decent could still be a scumbag. What a waste of that face.

Damian Sinclair said, "No."

The medical staff was stunned, maybe the situation wasn’t as she had imagined.

"Stop asking, let’s get her onto the ambulance first." Said another, as the paramedics finally placed Cecilia Lynch on the stretcher and took her to the ambulance.

Damian Sinclair didn’t immediately follow but remained standing where he was.

Bella Acker pressed her lips together, looked up at him, and said, "I didn’t push Cecilia Lynch down the stairs."

"I know." Damian Sinclair said, "You couldn’t do such a thing, nor would you have the courage." With Bella Acker’s personality, no matter how much she disliked Cecilia Lynch, it was impossible for her to push someone down the stairs knowing that they were pregnant.

She wouldn’t do something so malicious that would endanger lives.

Bella was taken aback, "I thought..."

"Thought I would believe you pushed her down the stairs, threatening her and her unborn child’s life?" Damian Sinclair raised an eyebrow, "Bella Acker, are you stupid, or do you think I’m stupid?"
