Chapter 562: Chapter 561: Sinister Motives (Part 4)

Bella Acker sat in her seat without moving, always keeping a guard up against her.

Cecilia Lynch sneered with a smile, "What’s wrong? Don’t you want to know why Mrs. Sinclair chose me?"

"Because of your family background, and because you like Damian." Bella Acker stood up with her bag, thinking to herself, also because of the grudge between my father and The Sinclair Family, otherwise, why would all these twists and turns happen now.

As she spoke, she took money out of her wallet and said to the waiter approaching to settle the bill, "How much is my coffee?"

"Thirty-eight bucks, thank you." The waiter clearly didn’t expect the two of them to settle separately, and was momentarily stunned before reacting.

Bella Acker paid for her coffee before walking out of the café.

As she walked past Cecilia Lynch, she intended to leave directly, but to her surprise, Cecilia Lynch grabbed her arm.

Bella Acker frowned, her face stern, "What do you want to do now?"

Cecilia Lynch sneered, "You’ll find out soon enough."

Bella Acker didn’t understand what she meant, but then she saw Cecilia Lynch release her hand and suddenly fall towards the stairs.

Although the slope of the staircase on the second floor of the café was quite gentle, falling down was still quite shocking.

Bella Acker never expected Cecilia Lynch would fall down on her own like this. Was she trying to kill herself?

Cecilia Lynch tumbled down the stairs just as Damian Sinclair arrived.

Bella Acker saw Damian Sinclair appearing at the stairway, her eyes widened suddenly, how could she not understand the vicious plan Cecilia Lynch had plotted.

Damian Sinclair probably didn’t expect to see such a scene right after arriving. He was slightly stunned for a second before stepping forward to catch Cecilia Lynch, who was rolling down the stairs.

Cecilia Lynch’s forehead was bruised and bloody, one hand pressing her belly, the other clutching his arm tightly, painfully saying, "My stomach hurts, the baby... Damian, the baby, save our baby..."

Damian Sinclair lowered his head, and saw a line of blood flow out from Cecilia Lynch’s leg beneath her skirt.

Bella Acker looked on in disbelief. Didn’t Cecilia Lynch say she wasn’t pregnant at all? Then why was she having a miscarriage?

The waiter in the café, hearing the commotion, rushed over too, and upon seeing Cecilia Lynch rolling down the stairs with blood flowing from her leg, screamed in fright, covering their mouth, "Ah! I... I’ll call 120." Saying so, they shakily pulled out their phone and called 120 for emergency assistance.

Cecilia Lynch seemed to have forgotten everything around her, only desperately grabbing Damian Sinclair’s hand, "Damian, save the baby! Save our baby!"

Damian Sinclair frowned, lifting his head to look at Bella Acker standing at the top of the stairs.

Bella Acker, meeting his eyes, instinctively explained, "I didn’t push her down."

Upon hearing that, Cecilia Lynch finally turned her head towards her, "Bella Acker, I know you hate me for taking Damian away from you, but how could you... Ah! Damian, I don’t care if I die, save the baby, you must save the baby."

Cecilia Lynch cried out in pain, tightly protecting her stomach.

"I didn’t." Bella Acker shook her head somewhat dazedly, "Damian, I didn’t push her, and she said... she said she wasn’t even pregnant, you have to believe me."

Damian Sinclair looked at her, then turned his gaze back to Cecilia Lynch, saying, "I’ll take you to the hospital."

Bella Acker’s heart twitched, her eyes immediately reddening.

Does he not believe her? In his eyes, is she really the kind of woman who would stop at nothing to achieve her goals?

Cecilia Lynch held onto Damian Sinclair’s arm tightly, "Damian, I’m begging you to save our baby. Please."
