Chapter 538: Chapter 537: The Strange President Sinclair
"President Sinclair, why don’t you sing a song too?" An actress holding a wine glass came over to clink glasses with Damian Sinclair, moving in two steps closer, and said in a sultry voice.
With someone like Damian Sinclair, these actresses, even knowing they can’t reach his level, still can’t help but want to try.
If they succeed, even if they can’t really become a phoenix, they could at least get some good resources.
Damian Sinclair looked at the approaching woman coldly and said, "Take your hand off."
The actress, who had just wanted to put her hand on his shoulder, froze, and upon meeting his cold gaze, was immediately startled and took two steps back, saying, "President Sinclair, I’m sorry, I might have had a bit too much to drink."
Damian Sinclair raised the wine glass in his hand and finished the red wine without even glancing at the apologetic actress.
The actress was quite perceptive, knowing he wasn’t interested, she backed off to her original position and didn’t dare have any further thoughts about Damian Sinclair.
The others also saw this unfold and understood the situation.
In today’s setting, having a drink with President Sinclair wasn’t a problem, but trying anything else with him was out of the question.
Director Simons also found it somewhat strange.
As a director, having dealt with many investors and done some business, he had heard bits and pieces about the Sinclair Group and naturally about Damian Sinclair.
But people always said Damian Sinclair was shrewd, rather cold, sometimes even unfeeling, and rarely attended any business gatherings.
Yet for today’s event, they just gave a symbolic invitation, and Damian Sinclair actually agreed to come. And after arriving, he was quite amiable, drinking cheerfully with anyone who offered, not refusing anyone.
This was very unlike the Damian Sinclair he had heard about.
As for why he was different today, Director Simons, not knowing Damian Sinclair well, couldn’t figure out the reason.
Damian Sinclair didn’t care if others were watching him; his peripheral vision only focused on Bella Acker and Archer Quinn talking and eating over there, finding it increasingly annoying.
"Director Simons, I don’t think I know who the male lead in this movie is." Damian Sinclair suddenly turned to speak to Director Simons.
"Oh, I was so caught up with drinks, I forgot to formally introduce him to President Sinclair." Director Simons, who was talking with the producer, was momentarily stunned by the remark, quickly recovering, and stood up to go to the dining table, saying, "Archer, you haven’t had a proper chat with President Sinclair, have you? Come on over. Bella, you too."
Since Director Simons had come over deliberately to call them, Bella Acker and Archer Quinn couldn’t very well stay where they were.
"We’ll be right over," Archer Quinn smiled, "Bella, are you full?"
"Yes, I’m full." Bella Acker nodded, thinking she had eaten so much that if she wasn’t full, she would really be a glutton.
Director Simons chuckled, "Bella, President Sinclair’s status is extraordinary; knowing him could be beneficial for you in the future. So don’t just focus on eating; once you’re over there, offer President Sinclair a couple of drinks."
Director Simons meant well for Bella Acker. After all, in this industry, many actresses work on their connections, and if Bella Acker only focused on acting without engaging in anything else, she might unwittingly miss opportunities that others grab.
Seeing that Bella Acker was quite industrious with a straightforward approach, he thought to give her a little advice.
"Got it, thank you for the advice, Director Simons." Bella Acker thanked him, though whether she would really offer Damian Sinclair a drink, she knew she wouldn’t.
