Chapter 537: Chapter 536: Awkwardness and Jealousy

Damian Sinclair felt stifled, accepting every drink offered to him.

He could hold his liquor well, especially in recent times, his capacity had increased considerably.

Nevertheless, even with this, Director Simons and the others continued to offer him drinks sequentially, chatting away.

Moreover, he was feeling displeased, and after a few rounds, although still not drunk, his head had started to feel slightly dizzy.

Initially, everyone showed some restraint due to Damian Sinclair’s status, not daring to let loose. But seeing him accepting drinks from everyone, they felt he might be someone who likes to party.

Everyone was getting more excited in the private room, and at some point, someone had already turned on the KTV system and started singing with the microphone.

The producer took advantage of the lively atmosphere and took out his phone, saying: "Let me call some friends over to join us."

"Great! Tell them to hurry up!"

In truth, most of the people in the room knew exactly which friends were being invited over, and were quite accustomed to it.

Director Simons raised his glass to clink with Damian Sinclair’s and said, "President Sinclair, we’ve almost finished eating here, how about we move to the room next door?"

Although saying it’s the next room, it was actually a large private room with a dining table here, while the other side was partitioned with a beautifully designed screen to create another space.

"Alright." Damian Sinclair nodded mildly after taking a sip of his drink.

Upon hearing this, Director Simons and the producer immediately led him toward the other side, while Bella Acker remained seated with no intention to move over.

"Bella, let’s go, come sing and play." The actress next to her stood up, preparing to move over, casually urging Bella Acker.

"Okay. You go ahead, I’ll finish this bit and follow." Bella Acker looked up and smiled at her.

"I envy people like you who don’t gain weight no matter how much you eat; I gain weight just by eating a little more, it’s so frustrating. I’ll go ahead, hurry up." The actress cheerfully walked over with others.

Bella Acker lowered her head, staring absentmindedly at a piece of fish in her bowl.

In truth, she had no appetite at all, but staying here allowed her to occasionally hear his voice and even smell his familiar scent at the tip of her nose. Besides eating continuously, she didn’t know how else to distract herself.

She dared not look up at him, fearing she might inadvertently lose control of her emotions, or unknowingly show a longing expression.

"Bella, you had some drinks earlier, are you dizzy?" Archer Quinn poured a cup of hot water and placed it beside her hand, asking softly.

"Senior Quinn, you haven’t gone over there yet?" Bella Acker was slightly startled before replying, "I ate quite a lot earlier, I’m fine."

"I am not particularly fond of singing." Archer Quinn returned to grab his chopsticks, picking up a piece of red wine-braised rib and putting it into her bowl, saying, "I noticed you didn’t have any earlier. I find it tastes quite good; give it a try."

Bella Acker’s face flushed slightly with embarrassment, and she asked quietly, "Did I really eat a lot earlier?"

She’s been eating non-stop in an attempt to divert her attention, but while eating, she was lost in thought and had no idea how much she had consumed, only feeling she hasn’t been this full for a long time.

Archer Quinn nodded, chuckling softly and teasing, "I almost thought you were a refugee fleeing famine."

Oh! How embarrassing!

Bella Acker felt extremely awkward, her face turning even more red.

From the other side, Damian Sinclair observed their interaction at the table, his eyes dimmed slightly.
