Chapter 5: A Luxurious Ride

Vanessa’s smile widened. "I like a man who knows what he wants." She walked behind the counter, her hips swaying. She pulled out a tablet and started filling out information. "Can I get your name?"

"Sean," he said.

"Just Sean?" She looked up at him with those hazel eyes.

"Sean Miller," said Sean.

"Well, Sean Miller, welcome to the VIP family," said Vanessa. She processed the payment.

"You’ve spent over thirty thousand dollars with us in the last fifteen minutes. That’s actually a store record for a single customer in one visit." freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

[10,000 dollars sent]

[20,000 dollars received]

[New Balance: $91,850]

Sean’s phone buzzed again. He was now sitting at $91,850. From $4,000 to over ninety grand in less than two hours.

"I have a good feeling about you," said Vanessa. She handed him a black card. "This is your VIP membership card. My personal number is on the back. If you ever need anything, day or night, just call."

Sean took the card. Their fingers touched for a moment. "I’ll keep that in mind."

"Please do," said Vanessa. She leaned forward slightly, and Sean could see down her dress just a bit. She knew exactly what she was doing. "A man with your spending habits? I’d love to keep you happy."

"I’ll be back soon," said Sean. "I need to attend a party tonight. Think you can help me pick the perfect outfit from what I bought?"

"It would be my pleasure," said Vanessa. She walked around the counter and stood close to him. Close enough that he could smell her perfume. Something sweet and expensive. "Let’s see what we have."

She went through the pile of clothes with him, pulling out a black designer suit, a crisp white shirt, and a pair of Italian leather shoes. "This combination is perfect. Simple. Clean. Expensive. It says you have money but you don’t need to scream it."

"Thanks," said Sean.

"Try it on. I want to make sure it fits perfectly," said Vanessa. She led him to a private changing room in the back. The room was huge, with mirrors on three walls and soft lighting.

Sean changed into the suit. When he looked in the mirror, he barely recognized himself. The eighteen-year-old kid who got dumped and cheated on was gone. In his place was a man who looked like he belonged in a CEO’s office. The suit fit like it was made for him. The shoes made him stand taller. The whole package screamed success.

He stepped out of the changing room.

Vanessa’s eyes widened. "Wow."

"That good?" said Sean.

"That good," said Vanessa. She walked around him, adjusting the jacket slightly. Her hands lingered on his shoulders. "Whoever you’re trying to impress at this party? They won’t know what hit them."

"I’m not trying to impress anyone," said Sean. "I’m trying to make someone regret ever meeting me."

Vanessa laughed. "Even better. Nothing sexier than a man on a revenge mission." She pulled out a business card and slipped it into his jacket pocket. "That’s my personal personal number. Not the store one. Call me sometime. I’d love to hear how the party goes."

Sean smiled. "Maybe I will."

"I hope you do," said Vanessa. She stepped back and looked him up and down one more time. "Go show them what they’re missing, Sean Miller."

Sean walked out of the store wearing the suit, carrying his old clothes in a designer shopping bag. The sales clerk held the door open for him, bowing like he was royalty.

"Thank you for your patronage, sir! Please come again!"

Sean didn’t even look back. He had places to be. A party to crash. An ex-girlfriend to destroy. And now, he had the money, the clothes, and the confidence to do it.

His phone buzzed one more time.

[Quest Available: Attend the Freshers Welcome Party]

[Reward: ???]

[Accept?]

Sean smiled and tapped "Accept."

Sean looked at himself in the reflection of a store window. The suit was perfect. The shoes were perfect. Everything about his appearance screamed success. But something was missing.

He couldn’t show up to the party on a bus. Or worse, in a taxi. No. If he was going to make Rebecca regret ever betraying him, he needed to arrive in style. He needed a car. A nice one. And a driver to match.

Sean pulled out his phone and searched for luxury car dealerships nearby. One popped up immediately: "Prestige Motors - Luxury Vehicles & Executive Services."

Perfect.

He checked the address. It was only ten minutes away. Sean started walking, his new shoes clicking against the sidewalk. People turned to look at him as he passed. The suit changed everything. Suddenly he wasn’t invisible anymore.

The dealership was massive. Glass walls showed rows of expensive cars inside. Ferrari. Lamborghini. Rolls Royce. Mercedes. BMW. Each one probably cost more than most people made in a year.

Sean pushed through the glass doors. The showroom smelled like leather and money. Everything was polished to perfection. The floor was so clean he could see his reflection.

A salesman looked up from his desk. He was older, maybe in his forties, wearing a cheap suit that tried too hard to look expensive. His eyes scanned Sean from head to toe. For a moment, the salesman’s expression changed. The suit was throwing him off. But then he noticed something. Sean’s hands. They weren’t the hands of someone who grew up with money. They were rough. Working-class hands.

The salesman’s smile became fake. Forced.

"Good afternoon, young man. Can I help you?" said the salesman. His tone was polite but dismissive. Like he was already planning how to get rid of Sean as quickly as possible.

"Yeah, I’m looking to buy a car," said Sean.

"I see," said the salesman. He didn’t stand up. "Well, we specialize in luxury vehicles here. Our cars start at around fifty thousand dollars. Perhaps you’d be more interested in something more... economical? There’s a Honda dealership about three miles down the road."

Sean felt his jaw tighten. This shit again. He was getting real tired of people judging him.

"I want to see your most expensive cars," said Sean.
