Chapter 703: Chapter 703 The Deep Cold Snow Cave

After returning to his room and grabbing the Jade Box he had prepared earlier, Lin Kuang followed Tian Zilian out. They both used the Treading Snow Without a Trace technique, gliding over the snow as if they were flying. It was a stunning sight, but Lin Kuang still felt it was too slow.

This is too slow.

With that thought, Lin Kuang walked to the edge of the forest and felled a large tree.

"Brother Lin, what are you doing?" Tian Zilian asked, watching his strange actions with curiosity.

"Just watch, you’ll see in a moment," Lin Kuang said with a smile. Using his Nameless Sword, he carved out two very smooth planks and handed one to Tian Zilian.

Tian Zilian stared, completely dumbfounded. She had no idea what he was doing.

"This will make us go faster. Watch how I do it; it’s easy to learn," Lin Kuang said with a grin. The next moment, he placed the plank under his feet. With a burst of True Qi from his soles, his speed surged, and he shot forward, gliding across the snow.

Tian Zilian’s beautiful eyes widened at the sight. Having lived on Snow Mountain for so long, she had never tried anything like this. It was fascinating to her.

Just then, Lin Kuang had already returned. "How about that? Pretty fast, right?" he asked with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Tian Zilian nodded excitedly. "Brother Lin, you’re a genius!"

A slight smile touched Lin Kuang’s lips. "It wasn’t my idea. You should give it a try."

Tian Zilian nodded eagerly and stepped onto the wooden plank. As True Qi gushed from beneath her feet, she shot forward like an arrow. Feeling the incredible speed, Tian Zilian couldn’t help but laugh joyfully. It felt wonderful; this was the first time she had ever experienced something like this.

Just then, Lin Kuang glided up beside her on his own plank. "What do you think? Fun, right?" he asked with a laugh, seeing her elated expression.

"Yes, yes! So fast, and so much fun! Brother Lin, you’re amazing," she praised him enthusiastically, thinking he was incredibly clever.

Her praise made Lin Kuang a little embarrassed, as it really was no big deal. "It’s nothing, really. Zilian, you lead the way. I’ll follow you," he said with a smile.

Tian Zilian smiled and nodded, then began gliding forward quickly, with Lin Kuang easily keeping pace. Their speed was now incredible. They glided like this for nearly an hour before finally reaching their destination.

"Brother Lin, this is the place. We’ve arrived," Tian Zilian announced with a smile, coming to a halt.

Before them was a basin filled with accumulated water that had since frozen solid.

"This is it?" Lin Kuang asked curiously, looking ahead.

"Yes, this is it," Tian Zilian confirmed, looking at him. "Do you see that cave entrance? The Ice Silkworm appeared there before. I went inside once, but I couldn’t find it."

Following her gaze, Lin Kuang saw a snow-covered cave on one side of the basin. Its entrance was taller than a person, easily large enough for them to walk through. At the sight of it, a thrill of excitement surged through him.

"Zilian, should we go down now?" he asked eagerly.

"Yes, of course. I’ll lead the way," she replied with a smile. She set aside her plank, landed lightly on the ice, and began walking toward the cave.

Lin Kuang put down his own plank and quickly followed.

The moment they entered, the temperature plummeted, becoming even colder than it was on Snow Mountain. A shocking chill billowed from the entrance, washing over Lin Kuang in icy waves.

"Brother Lin, the deeper we go, the colder it gets," said Tian Zilian, who was walking ahead. "If you can’t stand it, use your True Qi to shield yourself."

Lin Kuang nodded. "Alright, I understand, Zilian. Let’s go."

"Patience, Brother Lin. This cave is very deep; we still have a way to go," she advised before moving with graceful steps deeper into the cavern.

Lin Kuang followed close behind her. The snow cave was indeed long. The deeper they went, the larger the passage became, and the more frigid the air grew. Even Lin Kuang was starting to struggle against the biting cold. Gradually, both of them began to release their True Qi, forming a protective barrier around their bodies. The cold down here was intense—so frigid that any splashed water would freeze in mid-air. Lin Kuang also realized the tunnel was leading them underground, as they had been walking continuously downhill.

"Lin Kuang, we’re almost there," Tian Zilian called out from ahead.

"Okay," he acknowledged.

After walking for nearly five more minutes, they finally emerged from the tunnel. Before them, the passage opened into a massive cavern nearly half the size of a football field, filled with spectacular, naturally formed ice pillars.

"This place is huge," Lin Kuang said in amazement, looking around the vast space.

"I know. I was shocked the first time I came here, too. And it’s so beautiful," Tian Zilian said happily, admiring the natural ice sculptures surrounding them.

"Yes, it’s absolutely beautiful," Lin Kuang agreed, his gaze sweeping across the cavern. "The artistry of nature is truly astounding."

His eyes continued to scan the area until, behind one of the ice pillars, he spotted a flash of green leaves. His heart skipped a beat.

Could that be the Cold and Lonely Thyrsa?

Filled with excitement, Lin Kuang quickly moved behind the ice pillar. And there it was: a green tree, taller than a man! Its branches were lush, its delicate leaves a vibrant emerald. To find such a vigorous, thriving tree in a cavern of ice and snow was a truly spectacular sight.

Looking at the green tree before him, Lin Kuang took out the drawing Xue Danqing had given him and compared the two. Sure enough, it was a perfect match for the Cold and Lonely Thyrsa in the illustration.

As Lin Kuang looked closer, he saw that some of the Cold and Lonely Thyrsa’s leaves had notches missing, while others were half-eaten. They had clearly been nibbled on. Seeing this, his eyes filled with excitement, and he grew ecstatic.

"This is it! This is the Cold and Lonely Thyrsa! Haha, I finally found it!" he exclaimed excitedly, his eyes fixed on the tree. "Xue Danqing said that wherever the Cold and Lonely Thyrsa grows, an Ice Silkworm is sure to be nearby. There must be one here!"
