Chapter 686: Chapter 686: The Collapse of a Blizzard Day
At that moment, Lin Kuang was upside down, his feet pointing skyward as he unleashed a torrent of attacks with his sword, Nameless. In a flash, Nameless danced across his five opponents’ weapons. Using the rebound, Lin Kuang shot backward, instantly breaking free of their encirclement.
At the same time, he stomped his feet, pouring immense power into the snowy mountain beneath him. Instead of fleeing, he charged forward again, slashing with Nameless at Fan Moran’s head. After all, of the five men, Fan Moran’s strength was the weakest. If possible, Lin Kuang naturally wanted to eliminate one or two of them first.
Seeing Lin Kuang charge again, looks of joy appeared on the faces of the five men. They weren’t afraid of him attacking; their greatest fear was him escaping. As long as he didn’t run, they would have a chance to finish him off.
In the blink of an eye, Dong Qilong and Chen Fengyuan shot forward, launching a pincer attack on Lin Kuang. Fan Moran was their comrade, and they certainly wouldn’t stand by and watch him die. Losing one man meant losing a portion of their collective strength.
Seeing Dong Qilong and Chen Fengyuan rush over, Lin Kuang sneered inwardly. He didn’t clash with them head-on. Instead, a massive force erupted from under his feet as his body flickered, swiftly dodging their attacks. Just then, the brothers Fan Mohao and Fan Moran charged, their short blades slashing toward him. Lin Kuang’s body flashed again, evading their strikes without a direct confrontation. When Dong Qibao lunged, Lin Kuang continued to dodge. All the while, the Martial Arts masters took turns attacking, but Lin Kuang pushed his Extreme Shadow Illusion technique to its absolute limit. His figure was a constant blur, dodging every blow while relentlessly pouring powerful True Qi from his feet into the snowy mountain.
In truth, what he was doing was incredibly dangerous. One misstep, and he would meet his end. He was taking an enormous risk.
Chen Fengyuan, Dong Qilong, and the other experts were furious. Lin Kuang was using his superior speed to play cat-and-mouse with them, leaving them feeling helpless and frustrated. Although they could barely keep up with his pace, he held an absolute advantage in speed and never gave them an opportunity to trap him.
Lin Kuang calculated silently. After about ten minutes, he felt the time was right.
He broke off the engagement and charged directly for the summit of Snow Mountain. The power flowing from his feet into the snowy mountain grew even more intense.
Seeing Lin Kuang attempt to flee, the five men, including Chen Fengyuan and Dong Qilong, were determined not to let him go. How could they let him escape when they had such a perfect opportunity? If he got away this time, catching him again would be incredibly difficult.
"Kid, if you have any guts, stop running and fight me!" Dong Qilong shouted as he gave chase.
"Hmph. In a one-on-one fight, I’d crush you. You dare?" Lin Kuang retorted with a cold smile, his eyes filled with mockery and disdain.
Hearing this, Dong Qilong opened his mouth to reply but stopped. The recent battle had given him a taste of Lin Kuang’s terrifying strength. Although he was a peak Martial Arts expert, he had no confidence in facing Lin Kuang alone. After all, if Lin Kuang could easily escape the combined attacks of five masters, what chance did he have by himself? Dong Qilong hated to admit it, but he knew he was no match for Lin Kuang. It was a bitter, undeniable truth.
"What’s the matter? Scared? If you’re scared, then stop acting so tough. You’re not qualified," Lin Kuang jeered, his gaze dripping with contempt.
Dong Qilong’s face flushed red with anger, but he couldn’t find a single word to refute the taunt. After all, it was true.
Chen Fengyuan secretly gritted his teeth, forcing himself not to break the Seal within his body. He felt it was still too early. He was waiting.
Meanwhile, Lin Kuang sprinted toward the summit, frantically pouring True Qi from his feet into the snow. Incredibly, none of his pursuers noticed. As he channeled more power, he felt a faint tremor beneath him.
Sensing the change in the mountain, a surge of joy filled Lin Kuang’s heart. Finally, it’s almost time. You fools, this time I’ll wipe you all out!
He accelerated once more, frantically channeling even more power into Snow Mountain. The vibrations of the Rose resounded continuously, and the joy in his heart grew stronger.
Finally, he came to a complete stop, waiting silently for Chen Fengyuan and the others to arrive.
Seeing him stop, the five men were stunned. Their expressions grew grim, as they had no idea what he was planning.
"Get him!" Chen Fengyuan yelled.
The others nodded and charged, surrounding Lin Kuang once again.
Lin Kuang watched them with a broad smile, a smile that sent a chill down their spines. They couldn’t understand what he found so amusing.
"What are you laughing at? Death is staring you in the face. What’s so funny?" Fan Mohao demanded with a frown, his short blade pointed at Lin Kuang.
"That’s right, death is imminent," Lin Kuang said with a laugh. "I’m laughing because you’re the ones who are about to die. Of course I’m laughing. Isn’t that right?"
"Are you insane? We’re going to die? You think you alone can kill the five of us? You’re delusional!" Dong Qibao scoffed.
"Am I? You really think I can’t kill you? Then again, with your five pig brains, you probably have no clue what I’ve been doing." As he spoke, Lin Kuang smiled faintly, and the tremors deep within the mountain grew stronger.
"You’re courting death!" Dong Qilong bellowed, raising his longsword to strike.
"Wait, wait a moment," Lin Kuang said with a grin.
"For what?" Dong Qilong paused, frowning.
"Nothing much. I just want to show you something. A wonder of nature," Lin Kuang said with a sly smile. Then, he stomped his foot, and a terrifying amount of power surged violently into the mountain.
At the same time, his entire body plunged deep into the snowpack.
The moment he disappeared, a powerful tremor shook the ground. The five men were startled, assuming Lin Kuang had caused the noise. The next instant, however, they realized something was terribly wrong. The very mountain beneath their feet was shaking—a horrifying, violent tremor. High above on the summit, the thick blanket of snow began to crack, collapse, and roll downward.
