Chapter 663: Chapter 663 Critical Condition

Carefully placing Yang Ruoxi on the sofa, Lin Kuang’s dark eyes filled with worry and sorrow.

He hated his own weakness. If only he were stronger, Yang Ruoxi wouldn’t be in this state. He hated himself for failing to protect her, for allowing her to be so grievously wounded.

Gazing at Yang Ruoxi’s pale, pretty face, Lin Kuang took her wrist. True Qi flowed into her body, allowing him to examine her injuries. When he discovered the extent of her wounds, his expression became incredibly grim, and his entire body began to tremble.

Yang Ruoxi’s injuries were severe—no, they were catastrophic. Nearly all her meridians were severed, and her internal organs were so badly damaged they were on the verge of disintegrating. If it weren’t for her Yin Yang Physique and the Force of Nature that had protected her heart vessels at the last moment, she would already be dead.

Even so, her condition was so critical that Lin Kuang didn’t dare act rashly. One wrong move could kill her. The Force of Nature within her body and her heart vessels had currently reached a delicate equilibrium, which was the only reason she was still alive. If Lin Kuang were to use his own power to help, he would easily shatter that fragile balance. If that balance were broken, Yang Ruoxi would die without a doubt. That was why Lin Kuang dared not make a single move.

Withdrawing his hand, Lin Kuang’s expression turned grim once more. I don’t know how to save her!

He paced anxiously around the hall, his frustration mounting.

Just then, a man from Wumi Building walked in.

"Mr. Lin, the manor has been cleaned up," said the expert leading the group.

"I know. You can go," Lin Kuang said, waving his hand dismissively, his voice thick with irritation.

Sensing Lin Kuang’s foul mood, the Wumi Building expert acknowledged the dismissal and turned to leave.

Just as the man was about to step out the door, Lin Kuang called out, "Wait."

Stopping in his tracks, the man asked, "Mr. Lin, is there anything else?"

"Does Wumi Building have any skilled doctors? My woman’s meridians are nearly all severed, and her internal organs are severely damaged. Right now, a sliver of power is protecting her heart vessels, barely keeping her alive. Can anyone from Wumi Building save her?" Lin Kuang asked desperately, his eyes filled with hope.

Hearing this, the man wrinkled his brow. "Based on what you’re saying, Miss Yang’s condition is extremely serious. May I take a look?"

"Yes. Please, be careful," Lin Kuang nodded quickly.

"Alright," the man agreed, placing his fingers on Yang Ruoxi’s wrist to assess her condition. As he did, his expression grew just as grave as Lin Kuang’s.

"The injuries are severe. An ordinary doctor would be useless. We do have a Divine Physician in Wumi Building," the expert said. "But he doesn’t seem to be in East Sea right now. If he were here, he might be able to save Miss Yang."

Hearing this, Lin Kuang’s eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? Then get that Divine Physician here! As fast as you can!"

Grabbing the man’s arm, Lin Kuang spoke urgently.

"Ahem. Mr. Lin, please wait," the man said hastily, seeing how agitated Lin Kuang was. "This matter has to be reported to Chen Feng, our director in East Sea. Only he can report it to the higher-ups, who can then dispatch someone."

"Okay," Lin Kuang said, nodding emphatically after a moment of stunned silence. "I’ll call Chen Feng right now."

As he spoke, he released the man’s arm, took out his phone, and quickly dialed Chen Feng’s number. In a moment, Chen Feng answered.

Before he could even speak, Lin Kuang blurted out, "Chen Feng, does Wumi Building have a Divine Physician? Get him here immediately! I have someone in critical condition, and I need a powerful doctor—one who is also an Ancient Warrior, an expert!" He spoke so quickly his words were nearly incoherent, a testament to his desperation.

"Ah... oh, okay. Give me a moment. I’ll make a call and get back to you once I have confirmation," Chen Feng said hurriedly.

"Good. I’ll wait for your call." With that, Lin Kuang swiftly hung up.

Five minutes later, his phone rang again. Seeing it was Chen Feng, Lin Kuang answered instantly.

"Well? What’s the news?" he asked the moment the call connected, his urgent tone betraying his anxiety.

"King of the Underworld, please try to remain calm. I’ve already contacted Divine Physician Xue Danqing. However, he isn’t in East Sea at the moment. We’re arranging a private jet for him now and will get him here as fast as possible. But it will still take at least seven or eight hours, so you’ll have to wait," Chen Feng quickly explained.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang was overcome with anxiety, wishing Xue Danqing could appear before him that very instant. Still, he didn’t lose his head. Chen Feng was already doing everything he could; Lin Kuang had to wait.

"Alright, I understand. The moment Divine Physician Xue arrives, have him come here immediately. I’ll be waiting. Any time of day or night," Lin Kuang said with grave intensity.

"Understood. I’ll bring him straight to you the moment he lands in East Sea," Chen Feng promised.

"Alright. Chen Feng... thanks." Lin Kuang couldn’t help himself. Chen Feng had truly been a great help this time.

Hearing this, Chen Feng was clearly stunned, momentarily thrown by a rare word of thanks from the renowned King of the Underworld.

"N-no, it’s fine! It’s my duty," Chen Feng stammered, quickly recovering.

"Good. That’s all for now. Just notify me the moment he arrives," Lin Kuang said before hanging up.

"Thank you. There’s nothing more for you to do here. You can all leave," Lin Kuang said to the men from Wumi Building.

"Of course. It’s our duty. We’ll take our leave now," the expert replied.

Lin Kuang nodded, and the men from Wumi Building departed from the manor.

He watched Yang Ruoxi in silence, filled with anxiety. Then, the thought that today was also the little Witch’s birthday made a wave of anguish wash over him.

It was supposed to be a happy day, but how can we celebrate a birthday with Yang Ruoxi so gravely injured? Who would even be in the mood? It’s unfair to the little Witch, but there’s no choice. We’ll just have to wait until Yang Ruoxi recovers.
