Tang Xiaonan nodded in agreement. ’He really should get a wife. You can’t just have kids illegally.’
"Uncle, you should hurry up and get married!"
Tang Xiaonan offered this suggestion with the utmost sincerity. ’The old eccentric might be a little old, but he’s rich! And he’s not bad-looking. Even with the scar, it’s no big deal. Lots of women like scars on a man.’
"Boss, just say the word. I’ll make the arrangements immediately. You could be on your wedding night by tonight!" Will was even more eager than the man himself. Lord knows how many years he’d been worrying about the boss’s family line.
"Shut up!"
The old eccentric shot him a disgusted glare, his mood suddenly souring. He waved his hand impatiently. "All of you, get out!"
Adrian Hawthorne quickly scooped up Tang Xiaonan and dragged Jim away. Will left too; he didn’t dare to stick around when the boss was in a bad mood. He also brought out the clothes they had bought that day.
"Take these with you. The boss bought them for the chubby girl."
"Thank you."
Adrian Hawthorne took them and glanced into the room. The old eccentric was sitting alone, his back to the sunlight, looking dim and lonely.
"Mister, please tell the uncle goodbye for me," Tang Xiaonan said softly.
Will nodded and walked them to the door. "Go on home now."
"Goodbye, Mister!"
Tang Xiaonan waved, then hopped onto Jim’s back. Will watched them leave the alley before heading back inside.
"Are they gone?" the old eccentric asked from the darkness.
"They’re gone."
Will nodded.
"Bring that chubby girl over for lunch tomorrow. She’s quite amusing," the old eccentric ordered, then got up and went upstairs.
Will’s mouth twitched. ’Has he really taken a liking to that chubby girl?’
’Then again, that chubby girl is pretty fun. Maybe I’ll go home tonight and... get to work with my wife. It’d be nice to have a daughter, a chubby one just like my wife.’
