Chapter 1103: Chapter 1103: How About I Teach You How to Kill?
Alaric Wood searched everywhere for Aurelia Shaw but couldn’t find her. Someone told him she was in the lab taking care of some patient.
Alaric’s interest was piqued.
...
In the prison of the laboratory, the doctor was cleaning a man’s wounds while Aurelia stood to the side, head lowered, watching.
The doctor’s face was full of black lines; he was even cursing "MMP" in his heart. He’d originally thought he could flatter Dr. Xiao a bit and win Dr. Xiao’s favor.
Who knew he’d end up with such a thankless job.
The doctor regretted it so much his guts were turning green.
Yet when his peripheral vision swept over the woman standing beside him, the doctor shuddered and didn’t dare refuse.
The woman in front of him looked so bland on the surface, and clearly didn’t seem lethal, but for some reason, the moment he saw her he felt afraid.
A bone-deep, hair-raising chill in his heart.
"Tsk tsk, I heard someone say you were taking care of some patient. I thought you were looking after that guy inside." A lazy yet dangerous voice suddenly rang out. Alaric leaned against the doorframe, the corners of his mouth hooked in a smile.
He walked over and nudged the man on the floor with his foot. "Tough bastard, actually still alive. A guy like this, what are you saving him for? Useless people only qualify to be thrown out."
Aurelia lowered her head and didn’t dare speak.
But the man lying there caught a flash of icy sharpness under Aurelia’s bangs. Cold sweat suddenly broke out down his back. This... this woman was terrifying. Good thing he hadn’t really exposed her back then.
Otherwise, he might have died even more miserably than this.
But more than anything, the man felt grateful to Aurelia.
When he came here, he’d never thought of getting out alive. He hadn’t expected anyone would try to save him.
"Come with me." Alaric said.
Aurelia followed behind Alaric. He led her to a room, and before she even stepped in, she caught a thick stench of blood.
Alaric moved aside at the door to let her in.
Aurelia saw the person lying on the floor and the blood everywhere. A wave of disgust surged up from her chest. This man treated human lives completely like toys.
And he treated her like his personal cleaning lady.
She couldn’t let the persona of a diligent and conscientious assistant collapse, so Aurelia went in and cleaned everything up.
Watching the woman methodically tidy the scene, Alaric’s surprise grew into a hint of appreciation. The corners of his lips lifted as he suddenly said, "I really like you, sweetheart. How about it, want to consider being my assistant?"
"N-no, that won’t be necessary." Aurelia said nervously.
Alaric didn’t press the issue.
It seemed what he’d just said was merely a joke.
"How about I teach you how to kill someone?" As Aurelia walked past him, Alaric suddenly spoke again.
Aurelia jerked her head up in shock to look at him, peach blossom eyes meeting those dark red pupils.
Alaric’s eyes narrowed slightly, and then those peach blossom eyes quickly dropped, his bangs falling to cover them.
That faint sense of wrongness that had just stirred in his chest quickly vanished along with it.
Alaric frowned.
Aurelia said nervously, "N-no, that won’t be necessary."
"If you change your mind, you can come find me anytime." Alaric said with a smile, revealing a single canine when he smiled—good-looking and wicked.
"Never!" Aurelia threw down the words and hurried away.
She thought to herself: This guy is insane!
What a headache!
Looked like this man had taken a liking to having her wipe his ass, and planned to keep using her long-term?
Heh. Odds are he won’t live long enough to.
...
After she finished dinner face-to-face with the person in the wardrobe that night, Aurelia snuck out of the room, planning to use the looser nighttime security in the lab to find where Mason Nightshade’s men were being held.
During the day, that man from M Nation had said he’d seen those people over at S Laboratory.
She didn’t know if they were still here or not.
