Chapter 1324: Chapter 1321: Marriage Proposal Scene
The Major General Shaw and Ignatius Leclair traveled all the way to Harbin and checked into the hotel suite next door, which neither Leah nor Delphine knew about.
One was busy scrolling through Weibo, while the other was on a video call with the twins. The tour guide Miss confirmed the next day’s itinerary with them in the evening, which was skiing at the snow resort. Only then did the two realize it was quite late.
Leah was feeling lethargic and didn’t want to move, while Delphine had already changed into her pajamas and ordered room service, and they ordered a bunch of delicious food.
While waiting for the food, Leah glanced at WeChat. The messages from Lana Shaw and Calliope Shaw from yesterday were still there, and she asked in the group chat, "What’s going on?"
"Leah, you’re finally here." Lana replied instantly, typing rapidly, "When are you returning to the Imperial City? A romantic rival has appeared; my cousin personally went to pick her up to dine at Shaw Mansion. I can’t remember the last time Shaw Mansion hosted an outsider for dinner."
"I find it odd; Grandma Shaw dotes on Leah. If my cousin wants to develop a relationship with another woman, Grandma Shaw would surely break his legs." Calliope had a different perspective, as the old lady of the Shaw Family was still quite strong.
Leah sneered. If Richard Shaw was determined to find another woman and end their long-lasting relationship, would Grandma Shaw really kill her only grandson?
Moreover, after the Shaw Family helped the Cox Family reverse their case, technically speaking, they owe them nothing. After all, Richard Shaw lost power for it, and the Shaw Family paid a hefty price.
"In any case, Leah, you’d better return to the Imperial City once. We don’t know the second Miss of the Land Family very well, but since Nova Howard got married, Lucinda Land is the most prestigious heiress in the whole socialite circle." Lana was anxious, almost wishing she could rush back to the Imperial City to clarify things. If her cousin really married another woman, Shaw Mansion wouldn’t be the Shaw Mansion she remembers.
The Shaw Family has been low-key, conservative, and reserved over the years, and correspondingly quite xenophobic. In the minds of the two sisters, only Leah could ever be the mistress of Shaw Mansion.
"I think this might be my cousin’s scheme, aimed at deceiving Leah into coming back to the Imperial City. But to come up with this method, you have to have really low EQ; my cousin is such an upright person, he would never think of this. It’s definitely a bad idea by someone around him." Calliope still wanted to defend Richard Shaw. She could believe other men might be fickle, but not Richard.
After all, Richard Shaw was the person who lived alone in a cabin for six or seven years for Leah, and Calliope refused to believe that the sudden appearance of the second Miss Land would be a formidable rival.
Leah’s face could practically outshine the entire Imperial City’s socialite circle, couldn’t it?
Initially, Leah felt quite annoyed and thought it was infuriating, but after hearing Lana and Calliope’s analysis, she calmed down.
If Richard Shaw really has the nerve to cheat and marry someone else, never returning to her, she would definitely make his life miserable. Ha! He dared to create scandals about her.
"I’m out having fun, let’s talk in a few days. Keep me updated on the situation in the Imperial City." Leah said.
"Are you in Harbin? You and Delphine are both trending on Weibo!" Calliope’s eyes sparkled with excitement, "I want to go skiing and see the ice sculptures too!"
"Come, everything’s on me." Leah laughed.

The next morning, the tour guide Miss knocked on the door, mysteriously saying, "Delphine, is the soldier brother at the door here to protect you? He’s so handsome, I almost thought I was entering a hotel for state guests."
"What soldier brother?" Delphine asked, puzzled.
"The fully-armed soldier brothers from the hotel. I asked the front desk, they said they weren’t accepting any more check-ins, but wouldn’t say anything else." The tour guide Miss gossiped.
"Maybe someone else is vacationing here too." Delphine said casually, then called Leah to head out.
The three set out to ski, buying a full set of gear at the ski resort.
Leah used to ski often, so she was familiar with it. It was Delphine’s first time skiing, and under the guidance of the other two, she was a bit clumsy and fell several times, but gradually she got the hang of it. Although she fell, she was having an incredibly fun time, and soon it was almost noon.
"Look at the helicopters, several of them are coming right at us." The tour guide Miss said excitedly, hearing the roaring sound.
There were quite a few people skiing all around, and everyone looked at the exceptionally low-flying helicopters. Someone shouted, and they saw five or six helicopters roaring over, scattering flowers along the way. All the premium varieties airlifted from Holland, countless pink heart-shaped parachutes along with the flowers floating down, quickly turning the ski resort into a world of flowers and pink hearts.
Each parachute had flowers and chocolates attached, and the onlookers who caught them started screaming excitedly, "A proposal scene, oh my god, someone is proposing."
The five or six helicopters launched their ultimate move, pulling out a banner formed by flowers: "Delphine, marry me."
"Oh my god, so romantic."
"I can hear the sound of countless US Dollars burning."
"Delphine? Is it my goddess Delphine?"
"Where is she?"
The ski resort was entirely white, and everyone was fully geared, making it impossible to tell who was who.
A helicopter slowly landed in the snow, and Ignatius Leclair, dressed in a coat after shedding his bulky down jacket, stepped out, knelt on one knee, and romantically proposed, "Delphine, marry me."
Delphine was shocked, and the tour guide Miss beside her was about to faint with happiness, covering her mouth to keep from screaming. With flowers everywhere, pink heart-shaped parachutes, chocolate, helicopters, and a declaration of love, did Ignatius book the entire ski resort?
Oh my god, what a blessing.
Considered the Nth time Ignatius Leclair proposed, it was the most romantic and unexpected one. Even the usually indifferent little Delphine smiled slightly, holding on to the last bit of reason with all her rationality, and said, "I said I would get married once Leah gets married. Stop kneeling, too many people are watching."
Delphine refrained from saying that although the flowers in the sky looked beautiful, cleaning them up at the ski resort was going to be a hassle. How much did Ignatius spend, huh?
"My leg’s numb, help me up." Ignatius Leclair smiled handsomely and elegantly, pushing his luck. In fact, he was just here to make a presence. If a bit of romance could make little Delphine happy and stop her from giving him the cold shoulder, it would be worth it. As for the proposal, he knew it would eventually succeed.
Delphine glared at him and helped him up.
The man’s deep and slender phoenix eyes were full of laughter; he wasn’t freezing for nothing. But when his eyes caught Richard Shaw, who had come along with the helicopter, his smile stiffened a bit.
Richard Shaw’s face was ashen as he looked at Ignatius pulling such a grand gesture. He could hardly restrain himself from punching Ignatius into the snowdrift.
Ignatius was really something! He was the one who suggested a snowfield proposal, and this bastard quietly prepared so much without saying a word and was now taking his wife happily back to Holland, while him—what was he supposed to do?
Major General Shaw looked at Leah, whose beauty was unparalleled, and truly regretted his actions. Ignatius was going to drive him to the brink.
