Chapter 954: Chapter 981: Mia Ginger Returns (7)

Koa Jackson twirled the keychain around and couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

On the back was Mia Ginger.

There was a black dot on her nose and three black lines on each cheek, matching his design. The only difference was that Mia had done it deliberately, with eyes wide open, puckered lips smiling in a silly yet utterly adorable way.

"Looks good, doesn’t it?" Mia leaned closer to him, her voice soft. "Hehe, one for each of us, but this is the real gift."

As she spoke, she took out a rectangular box and waved it in front of him.

A glance was enough to tell it was a pen, the kind he used often.

Koa Jackson raised his hand to take it, opened it for a look, and smiled, "So thoughtful, should there be a reward?"

"Did you prepare a gift for me?" Mia was taken aback.

"Unfortunately, I didn’t leave it here." Koa shrugged, looking a bit regretful, teasing her.

Mia playfully punched him, then pulled him up, "Then you’ll give it to me when we get back. We’re going to see a movie now, there’s not much time, and you have work this afternoon."

"Let’s go." Koa packed the items in his bag, casually grabbed hers, and led her out the door.

They soon arrived at the basement parking lot.

Mia took the keys, opened the door, and sat in the driver’s seat.

Koa didn’t get in right away; he stood outside watching her drive the car out of the parking space.

He was a bit surprised.

She was quite proficient.

With the window down, Mia looked at him with a somewhat triumphant, ingratiating smile, "How’s that? Did I pass?"

"It’s too early to draw conclusions." Koa assuredly got into the passenger seat, fastened his seatbelt, and looked up, "Let’s go."

"As you command." Mia withdrew her gaze and focused on driving.

She was familiar with the area and had driven Koa’s car before, so she wasn’t too nervous. Though she drove slowly, it was steady. Once they were on the main road, Koa felt at ease.

Glancing at the scenery outside, he couldn’t help but look at her again, smiling, "There’s a cinema after the next left turn."

"I know." Mia answered without looking back.

Koa pursed his lips, "Nervous?"

"Not at all." Mia exhaled, looking at him, shrugging and sighing, "It’s just that there are a lot of cars. I’m just worried about bumps and scrapes."

"Safety first," Koa reminded her again.

Mia wrinkled her nose at him.

Soon—

They arrived under the mall, and Mia, following the guard’s gestures, parked the car neatly, letting out a long breath of relief.

"I’ll give you eighty points." Koa also breathed a sigh of relief.

They took the elevator upstairs.

Although it was summer break, probably due to the hot weather and being morning, there weren’t many people buying tickets in the lobby. Rosalie Tanny’s new film, "Lover’s Knot," had the most showings. Mia quickly scanned the options and bought two tickets, entering the cinema with Koa directly.

The movie had already started five minutes ago.

The VIP room had a few people in it, and it was a bit dark. They walked straight to the back row and picked seats in the middle.

On the screen, Rosalie Tanny’s elegant and beautiful face was just visible. Her long black hair draped down her back as she stood in a simple white dress, watching a man leave from a station, her face full of sorrow.

The tone was beautiful, immediately identifiable as an artistic romance film.

Mia put her phone on silent and instinctively went online to search for the film’s ending.

If it were a tragedy, it wouldn’t be very fitting.

As it turned out—

The movie had just been released today, and there were no reviews yet.
