Chapter 943: Chapter 970: Farewell to the Old, Welcome the New (4)
Basically, there was no one who disliked her.
She was such a quiet and elegant presence, who brought glory to the country in her early twenties. Even if people didn’t like her, it was hard to hate her.
A person like that is naturally pleasing to the eye.
The only thing that surprised Mia Ginger was how low-profile her return was, and coincidentally, they happened to run into her during an ad shoot. Especially since Rosalie Tanny had never done any advertisements before.
As Mia Ginger was deep in thought, she heard George Davis next to her laughing and saying, "Without any warning, the goddess just appeared like that."
"Are you talking about that pretty lady taking photos?" Maeve blinked her big round eyes and asked him.
George Davis laughed heartily, "Of course, Maeve, do you think that lady is pretty?"
"Pretty." Maeve nodded her head enthusiastically, cheeks puffed.
"Do you like her?" George Davis asked again.
"Hmm, no." Maeve thought for a moment, pursed her lips, and shook her head.
George Davis was taken aback, "Why is that?"
Maeve glanced from afar and said with a pout, "Her hair is too long, just like Sister Chester’s, looking like a ghost. I don’t like such long hair..."
George Davis: "..."
Caiden Ward, who snapped back to reality, couldn’t help but smile, "If you don’t like her, just stop looking. Shall we head back?"
"I haven’t finished eating the grapes yet." Maeve poked her finger at them.
"No worries, you can bring them home to eat." Caiden Ward smiled, tearing off a wet wipe and bending down to wipe her lips and little hands.
Maeve hopped off the chair, hugging one of his legs.
Caiden Ward chuckled heartily and looked up at George Davis, "Bring everything on the table with us, we’ll go directly to the estate. Maeve is tired after a full day, and we can explore Landy Town tomorrow."
"Alright." George Davis nodded, watching him lead Maeve away.
He turned his head instinctively to take another look.
In the lavender fields, Rosalie Tanny’s gaze was naturally drawn, watching her boss leave.
George Davis reluctantly packed up everything on the table, feeling slightly helpless.
He had been working with Caiden Ward for a few years, but by the time he joined, Rosalie Tanny had already moved into the international film scene.
So, he didn’t know that his boss had a history like this before.
Rosalie Tanny was his first woman, or rather, first love.
Watching her smile as she turned back, George Davis felt like he had discovered a big secret. Her beautiful face, gentle smile, flowing long hair, graceful figure, and long legs—his boss’s standard for women had been remarkably consistent.
But—
Did he find women by this standard, or by Rosalie Tanny’s standard?
As George Davis walked away, he felt a bit anxious.
Rosalie Tanny’s appearance here wasn’t a coincidence. Indeed, after returning to the country, she helped a friend shoot an ad for a self-owned brand of cosmetics, and this lavender field was part of the itinerary.
However—
The reason she appeared today was because Madam Ward had previously inquired about Caiden Ward’s schedule.
Madam Ward knew about her son’s first relationship and quite approved of Rosalie Tanny. This time, she intended to play matchmaker, hoping Caiden Ward would settle down soon.
Getting him to play the insider role was really putting him in a tough spot.
George Davis, with a troubled face, caught up with Caiden Ward, and they headed to the Summer Escape Estate with a few others.
The estate wasn’t far from the lavender fields, just a half-hour drive. As Mia Ginger got out of the car, she quickly raised her hand to smooth her hair.
