Chapter 99: Owen’s Heartache

"Owen, you can tell me if you need any help," Joan said kindly as well.
Owen smiled and nodded at their words.
Although he didn’t say anything, his heart was filled with worry. Anita really wasn’t in a good state just now.
They bickered and he even let her go back to the hotel alone. He was afraid Anita would do something.
As soon as the tour bus stopped in front of the hotel, Owen came down. "Mr. Bieber, Joan, I’ll go back to my room first."
"Okay, go," Bieber said quickly when he saw Owen’s anxious expression.
Owen nodded, then turned and strode to his room.
When he reached the door of the room, he wanted to knock, but when he touched his pocket, he felt the room card.
It was only at this moment that he remembered that Anita hadn’t brought her room card with her when she came back just now.
When she left the house in the morning, she did not have a pocket in her clothes and the room card was with him. He completely forgot. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
At the thought of this, he quickly used his room card to swipe open the door and enter.
"Anita?" Owen called out carefully when he saw that the living room light was not on and that it was quiet.
When there was no response after shouting twice, Owen headed for the bedroom.
The light in the bedroom was not turned on. The curtains were drawn and the light was on.
Owen tiptoed toward the bed. When he got closer, he realized that Anita was curled up into a ball. She looked tiny, and she was lying on the bed with the blanket pulled tightly around her.
When Owen saw Anita like this, he couldn’t help but lean closer and lie beside her. It was only then that he realized that Anita’s eyes were also red.
His heart instantly ached. He started to reflect on himself. What he had done today did seem wrong.
"Anita, I’m sorry. I’m back," Owen said into Anita’s ear.
"This is my first time being in a relationship. I don’t know what to do. I hope you can teach me. Tell me what I did wrong." Owen didn’t care if Anita responded. He just kept whispering.
Anita wasn’t actually asleep. She had heard Owen call her as soon as he pushed open the door. But she was in such a bad mood that she was afraid she would argue with Owen again, so she chose to pretend to be asleep.
But this confession from Owen just now had completely calmed her. She knew how she felt now, and although part of it was because of Owen, it was mainly because of Eric, who she had just bumped into downstairs.
She wanted to confide in Owen, but she didn’t know how to. So she rolled over and hugged him.
Owen had been deep in his thoughts, but he hadn’t expected to be hugged by Anita so quickly. He thought Anita was still upset about what had happened this afternoon.
He was stunned for a moment before coming back to his senses. He reached out and hugged Anita. "I’m sorry for making you suffer today."
Anita didn’t respond to Owen’s words and just shook her head.
"Are you feeling better? Are you sick?" Owen said and placed his hand on Anita’s forehead.
"No, I’m fine," Anita said with a smile at Owen’s gesture.
"Well, it’s good that you’re okay, Anita. The next time you mind, tell me. Can we not fight?" Owen said while looking Anita in the eye.
Anita thought about Owen’s words and nodded in agreement.
"Anita, Mr. Bieber wants to eat with us tonight. Do you want to go?" Owen looked at Anita and continued, "If you don’t want to go, tell me. It’s okay."
Anita smiled when she saw the sincerity on Owen’s face. "It’s okay. Mr. Bieber is very good to me. I want to eat with him, too."
"Really?" Owen said with a smile.
To be honest, he really hoped that Anita, Mr. Bieber, and Joan would get along well. After all, Bieber’s family was very close to his family.
"Really, let’s get changed. Tell Mr. Bieber," Anita said with a smile again when she saw Owen’s shocked look.
It was only when Owen heard Anita’s response that he was sure she was really going to eat with him, so he quickly got out of bed, turned on the light, and went to the closet to change.
As soon as Owen left, the smile that Anita had been faking vanished.
She began to worry. What if she bumped into Eric at the resort later?
She knew Owen, but Eric was capable of doing anything shameless. She was really afraid that if they bumped into each other, Eric would say something bad.
"Anita, I’m dressed. Let’s go," Owen said with a smile as he came out of the changing room.
Anita was too distracted to think about anything else. She got out of bed, hurriedly changed her clothes, and followed Owen downstairs and out.
