Chapter 81: Sweet Daily Life

"I know you’re not asleep. Why aren’t you saying anything?" Owen suddenly whispered in Anita’s ear again.

Anita blushed even more. At this close distance, she didn’t know if Owen could see her clearly, but she knew she couldn’t pretend anymore, so she flipped over suddenly.

She said, "You’re talking non-stop, so how can I fall asleep?"

Owen didn’t expect Anita to suddenly turn around and was startled. "I’m sorry. I thought you weren’t asleep, so I talked to you," Owen said while patting his chest to calm down.

Anita snorted at Owen’s words and said nothing more.

"Anita, I think we’re really good like this," Owen said.

Anita didn’t respond to Owen’s words, but she felt the same way. It was really good.

Owen waited a moment to see if Anita said anything, so he reached out and quietly placed Anita’s hand to his.

Anita felt the heat from his hand and smiled. "Go to sleep."

It was quite late. They hadn’t slept well last night and they had a busy day today, so Owen agreed and didn’t say anything else.

This was the first time the two of them had laid on a bed so calmly. They thought that they might not be able to sleep, but unexpectedly, after the two of them said good night, they quickly fell asleep.

The alarm clock rang in the morning. Owen reached out first and touched the alarm before turning it off. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

Normally, when he slept alone, the blanket was not so warm, but today, the blanket was warm, and he did not want to get up at all.

"Is the alarm ringing? It’s time to get up," Anita said sleepily.

"The alarm rang. I just turned it off," Owen, who had just woken up, whispered hoarsely.

"Let’s get up. I have to go to school today," Anita said while shaking Owen’s arm.

"Okay, I’ll get up now," Owen said, but he didn’t move at all. He just held Anita tighter. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Anita didn’t struggle and let Owen hug her, but the hug really couldn’t last long. Both of them had things to do in the morning, so within two minutes, Anita said, "Owen, we really should get up."

"Yeah, I get it. I really don’t want to get up," Owen said and released his hold on Anita.

When Anita heard Owen’s coquettish words, she smiled. "When you have time in two days, we can take a break and walk around together."

"Um, okay. Where do you want to go? We’ll go together then," Owen said after Anita.

"Let’s talk about it when you rest in two days," Anita said as she sat up and prepared to get up.

It was getting late. Both of them washed up quickly after getting up.

After that, Anita went to the fridge first and heated the sandwich she went out to buy yesterday before pouring two glasses of milk.

By the time Owen came out after changing, breakfast was already on the dining room table.

"Eat quickly. Breakfast is simple," Anita said with a smile when she saw Owen come out.

"Okay." Owen smiled at Anita as he headed for the dining room table.

After breakfast, Owen took Anita’s hand and led her to the underground parking lot. Today, he had to send Anita to school before going to the office, so the two of them went out ten minutes earlier than usual.

"This music sounds great. Do you prefer the piano?" Anita asked as she sat in the car and listened to the music Owen played.

"I actually like everything. I just don’t like to be too irritable when I’m driving, so I play some soothing music sometimes," Owen said with a smile while glancing at Anita.

"I still don’t know what type of music you like. Next time, let’s put some music you like in our car," Owen continued.

Anita froze at Owen’s sudden words. It wasn’t about the music, but he had just said, "our car." He had said, "our." This made Anita’s heart race again.

"What are you thinking?" Owen asked again when Anita didn’t respond.

"Nothing. I was just wondering what kind of music I like," Anita said with a smile while looking at Owen.

"It’s okay. You can think about it slowly. When you think of it, play it in our car," Owen said gently as he reached out and shook Anita’s hand.

"Okay." Anita looked at her hand and nodded with a smile.

"Do you feel like the road to your school seems short? It feels like we’re there before we even got to talk," Owen said as he parked the car in front of Anita’s school.

Anita didn’t know how to respond to Owen’s words. She just smiled and said, "I’ll get out of the car first. Be safe at the office."

"I’ll text you if I have to work overtime tonight," Owen said with a smile while looking at Anita.
