Chapter 54: Couple Cup

Editor: Henyee Translations

After entering the furniture store, Anita didn’t let anyone introduce her to things and started shopping alone.

A very simple hammer-shaped glass cup suddenly appeared in Anita’s eyes. The cup looked transparent. Anita walked into the display cabinet, picked up the cup, and looked at it carefully. The cup looked very light, but it was very heavy.

Anita liked it very much and looked at it for a long time until a salesperson walked over and said, "Madam, this cup is a pottery cup made by a Japanese designer, Edo Kiriko. Moreover, this cup is a couple model. One is inky blue, and the other is transparent. You can buy both."

Anita didn’t have any ideas as she listened to the salesgirl’s introduction. She just felt that the cup was indeed beautiful, and it was a couple’s cup. She felt a little happy when she thought about how she could use the same cup as Owen. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

"There’s a promotion in our shop today. You can get a 88% discount if you buy two pieces. You can consider it," the salesperson said when she saw that Anita didn’t answer.

"Okay, I understand. I want these two glasses. Please wrap them for me," Anita said with a smile as she put down the glass.

The salesperson didn’t expect the transaction to be so easy. She was stunned for a moment before smiling immediately. "Wait for a moment, I’ll wrap it for you immediately."

Anita didn’t say anything else. She smiled and nodded before following the sales assistant to the cashier.

It was only when she came out of the furniture store with two glasses that Anita realized that she was being too extravagant. How could she have bought these two glasses? She wondered what was on her mind at the time.

But it was too late to regret it.

Anita carried her large bag of things and called a car back since it was really inconvenient.

When she reached home, she opened the door and tidied up the mess. Then, she washed the two glasses and placed them in a more conspicuous spot on the table.

She hoped Owen would see it as soon as he returned.

Owen wasn’t in a good mood today, but he was still feeling a little better after that sandwich that morning, so he didn’t work late today. He had wanted to work more, but he thought about how Anita would be at home waiting for him to go back again, so Owen thought about it and finally decided to come back early.

But when he reached his door, Owen started to hesitate again. He wondered if Anita was angry with him. His attitude didn’t seem very good today.

"You’re back?" Anita hurried out of the kitchen when she heard the door open. She said happily when she saw Owen, who was changing his shoes.

"I’m back," Owen said as he stood up after changing his shoes.

"What are you doing? Are you cooking?"

"Right. I didn’t know what you liked and made some simple dishes. Wash your hands and wait a moment. It’ll be done soon," Anita said with a smile.

"Sure." Owen nodded and headed for the living room without saying anything else.

After two steps, he suddenly felt like something was shining, so he turned back to look.

It was two very beautiful hammer-striped glass cups. One was inky blue and the other was transparent. Clearly, they were a couple’s cup.

Owen’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat. Had Anita bought this? Owen couldn’t help but want to ask Anita, but he suddenly felt embarrassed.

What if it wasn’t for him? Wouldn’t that be awkward? So he forced himself not to ask.

Anita worked in the kitchen for a long time before finally making dinner for the day. To be honest, this was her first time cooking for Owen, and she was indeed nervous.

By the time she had all the food on the table and was watching Owen eat his first bite, Anita was looking at him hopefully. "Is it good?" Anita asked nervously before Owen could swallow the food in his mouth.

Owen couldn’t help but laugh at the look in Anita’s eyes, which looked expectant. "It’s delicious. Try it."

"Really? You’re not coaxing me, are you?" Anita didn’t believe Owen. She picked up her chopsticks and took a bite of the food in front of her.

"Yes, yes, it’s really delicious. I didn’t expect my culinary skills to be so good," Anita said excitedly.

The gloom in Owen’s heart dissipated at the sight of Anita smiling so happily. He reached out and picked up some more food for Anita. "Goddess of Cookery, eat some more. You worked hard today."

Anita looked at the food Owen had picked up in her bowl and whispered, "Thank you." Then she wanted to blush again. This was the first time anyone had picked up food for her besides her parents.

The two of them didn’t talk much the rest of the time. They were both engrossed in their food. Owen hadn’t eaten much today, and his stomach was empty. When he ate such delicious food, he couldn’t help but eat another bowl of rice.

"I’ll wash the dishes. Give it a rest," Owen said with a smile while looking at the clean plates on the dining room table.

"Okay, thank you." Anita didn’t decline and smiled at Owen.
