"Good morning, President," Bruce said as he knocked on Owen’s office door. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Owen didn’t look up. He just nodded, then waved his hand, indicating that Bruce could leave.
"What’s wrong? You’re not leaving?" Owen asked Bruce, who was still standing at the door.
"President... President, you said yesterday that you wanted me to buy wedding candies. What type do you want to buy?" Bruce asked while trembling at the door.
Owen frowned and said unhappily, "Bruce, you’ve been with me for so many years. Do you need to ask me about such a small matter? Can’t you do it yourself?"
"Yes, President. I’ll get it done immediately. How many portions should I prepare for Miss Anita?" Bruce couldn’t help but muster up the courage and ask.
Owen didn’t respond when he heard that, but he looked even more displeased.
Now Bruce knew what it meant. He must have quarreled with Miss Anita.
"President, I’ll ask Miss Anita."
"You’re not allowed to go," Owen said very quickly with a look at Bruce.
Bruce guessed that the President seemed to be in a bad mood because Miss Anita had rejected the wedding candy. Therefore, he stopped asking and quickly took a few steps back before quietly closing the door.
After Bruce left, Owen couldn’t control the expression on his face anymore. Now, the pen in his hand seemed to be his channel to vent.
He accidentally broke the pen that he had been using to sign.
Bruce, who had just left the door, also patted his chest carefully and quickly took out his phone.
"Miss Anita, I’m Bruce. I’m sorry to disturb you. President Owen looks terrible today. He didn’t even eat breakfast." As soon as the message was sent, Bruce clapped his hands to return the favor.
When the two of them fought, one of them had to give in first. With the President’s inscrutable look, he only wanted Miss Anita to feel sorry for the President first. Only then would the two of them make peace.
Moreover, the President didn’t know yet. He hadn’t even been in a relationship for so many years. With this situation, he must have infuriated Miss Anita. He didn’t know how to coax her and he even looked so angry.
As expected, not long after, Anita sent a message.
"I’m sorry, Bruce. Could you help him get a sandwich? His stomach isn’t good, thank you."
Bruce looked at the message on his phone and immediately stood up. He instructed the little secretary beside him to quickly buy the President’s favorite sandwich.
"President, you haven’t eaten yet, have you? This is the sandwich you always eat," Bruce said as he carefully pushed open the door and placed his breakfast on Owen’s table.
"I’m not hungry. Take it out. And what does your perfume smell like? It’s too horrible," Owen said while looking at breakfast.
"President, I’ll change my perfume tomorrow, but you have to eat this breakfast. Miss Anita specifically asked me to buy it for you. If you don’t eat it, her heart will ache." Bruce wasn’t frightened by Owen and instead continued calmly.
It wasn’t just Bruce who seemed to have become bolder. He only dared to say that because he understood why Owen was acting sulky.
As expected, Owen’s expression changed when he finished. He didn’t look so pleased, but he was clearly in a much better mood, so Bruce was relieved.
He turned around and walked out of the office before quickly closing the door. However, it wasn’t closed tightly and there was a small gap.
Through the door, Bruce saw that as soon as he went out, Owen picked up the sandwich on the table, looked at it a few times, tore open the packaging, and slowly ate it.
Bruce looked at the President and couldn’t help but smile. As expected, it was more useful to mention Miss Anita.
On the other hand, Anita didn’t know what was going on with Owen. She had been worried about him and was afraid that he wouldn’t eat breakfast.
So after today’s experiment, she left school early.
Anita went out of the school gate. Thinking of the empty refrigerator at Owen’s house, she went to the supermarket first and bought some necessities and some stored food and drinks.
After leaving the supermarket, she saw a furniture store. It was the store that she had liked a lot before.
When she was still with Eric, she fantasized about the day she would have her own home with Eric. She would shop around and buy a lot of things to decorate her home.
But she didn’t expect her many years of love to have gone down the drain.
But luckily, she met Owen. After comforting herself, Anita composed herself again and touched the bank card in her pocket.
She wasn’t very wealthy now, but after living with Owen, she didn’t have anywhere to spend money. On the contrary, Owen sent living expenses to her card every month.
So Anita felt that she should spend the day shopping at the furniture store she had been looking forward to and buy some things to decorate Owen’s house, which looked as empty as a home model.
