Chapter 49: Changing Room
Editor: Henyee Translations
The door opened. Anita looked a little disheveled in her pajamas and her hair wasn’t combed. Owen couldn’t help but laugh.
"What’s wrong? What are you laughing at?" Anita reached out to stroke her hair and asked with an embarrassed smile.
"Nothing. Go wash up. Breakfast is ready," Owen said softly and gently.
After Anita heard Owen’s words, she froze for a moment, then went to wash up.
When Anita came out after washing up, she realized that breakfast had already been laid out on the dining table. Anita immediately felt even more embarrassed. It was her first day living in someone else’s house, yet she had woken up so late and someone else made breakfast. No matter how she thought about it, it was inappropriate.
"Owen, thank you for last night." Anita thought about it for a long time but still felt that she should thank Owen. After all, she had occupied his bed yesterday.
"I’ll sleep in the guest bedroom from now on," Anita said after a pause.
"It’s okay. You can sleep in the master bedroom. My things are easy to sort out. I’ll sort them out after dinner." Owen glanced at Anita and smiled.
"Thank you then." Anita didn’t argue. Actually, sleeping anywhere was the same. It was just that the master bedroom had a lot of Owen’s scent and smelled comforting, so Anita didn’t argue with Owen.
"Don’t you have to go to the office today?" Anita asked while glancing up at the clock on the wall. It was almost ten o’ clock.
"I won’t be there in the morning. I’ll sort out my room and get you familiar with the place," Owen said as he picked up the glass in front of him and poured a glass of milk for Anita.
As she listened to Owen, Anita thought, she was right about last night. Owen really was a sweet, thoughtful man, and anyone who married him would be lucky.
"What are you thinking about? Hurry up and eat," Owen said as he looked at the dazed Anita.
"It’s delicious," Anita said while quickly taking a bite of the sandwich in front of her as she listened to Owen.
"What’s so delicious about a sandwich? I suspect you’re lying." Owen looked at Anita, who praised him immediately, and his smile deepened.
"It’s true. It’s delicious," Anita praised sincerely after taking another big bite. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
After breakfast, Anita didn’t let Owen do anything. Instead, she quickly stood up and carried the plates to the kitchen to wash them. "You cooked, so I’ll wash the dishes. We’ll have division of labor from now on."
Owen was stunned for a moment. He’d only heard the phrase "division of labor" in his own company. It was the first time he’d heard it at home, and it was directed at him, so he couldn’t help but smirk a little.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Owen went back to his room to pack his clothes. He didn’t have a lot of things, so putting them away should be easy.
But Anita felt bad because she’d occupied Owen’s room, so she’d insisted on helping Owen pack, just to show her guilt.
"Um... I’m sorry," Anita said awkwardly while holding a black underwear.
It really wasn’t her fault. Owen, who loved cleanliness, tidied up the wardrobe so neatly. Originally, she only needed to separate these clothes into different categories and move them to the guest room, but out of curiosity, Anita wanted to open it and see what was in these small storage boxes.
The other storage boxes were normal. When it came to this one, Anita opened it without thinking. As soon as she did, she saw a pile of neatly folded black clothes. She picked one up casually before realizing it was Owen’s underwear.
"It’s okay." Owen looked at his undergarment in Anita’s hand and tried his best to remain calm as he stepped forward to take it. He folded it and put it back in the box.
This little episode made both of them very embarrassed. In the end, both of them chose to ignore this episode. Even though Anita was secretly lamenting about the underwear that looked very big, she still pretended to be calm. freewebnσvel.cøm
It was the same for Owen. It was the first time a girl had seen his undergarments, and she was holding them in her hands. It was embarrassing.
However, while feeling awkward, Owen also felt a little lucky. Thankfully, he usually liked to keep his clothes very clean and neat.
Neither of them spoke again until Owen had finished packing. "I’ll call Mom."
Anita didn’t say anything. She nodded.
But as soon as Owen left the room, Anita couldn’t help but sigh with relief.
Owen was actually looking for an excuse to come out. Feeling like they couldn’t stay in the same space any longer, he stood on the living room balcony and called his mom. "Hey, Mom."
