Chapter 184: The Truth

Editor: Henyee Translations

"To be honest, Miss Miranda, I came to you because I have something to say," Owen said while glancing at Miranda.

"Then come in. Let’s talk inside." Miranda listened to Owen and turned to lead him into the recording studio.

Owen followed Miranda into the recording studio. He had never been in a recording studio before, so he was curious on his first visit. He couldn’t help but look around the studio.

The roof was made of large, irregular, diamond-shaped cubes. It was surrounded by thick soundproofing plates. In the middle, there was a microphone and a radio receiver.

"President Owen, this recording studio is quite nice, right?" Miranda glanced at Owen and knew that he was curious about this recording studio, so she smiled.

"I’m sorry, I don’t know much about this, but I can tell you did put a lot of effort into this recording studio," Owen said with a smile as he turned around.

"Yes, this recording studio is what I bought with the money I earned from my first album when I first debuted. I used it all to get this recording studio."

"Well, that’s really memorable," Owen said, nodding at Miranda.

"Every time I’m unhappy, I’ll come here and quietly record a song or play a few songs before calming down."

"So even though the entertainment industry is so dirty, I haven’t left and I’ve been holding on because I really love music," Miranda said while looking quietly at the microphone in the middle of the recording studio without looking at Owen.

"Well, that’s good. Many people might not be able to find what they really love in their entire lives." Owen followed Miranda’s gaze and under the light, he saw the microphone in the middle of the recording studio.

"Sorry to go off tangent, but I forget everything when I see the microphone. Let’s go to the next room," Miranda said with a smile when she came back to her senses.

With a nod, Owen followed Miranda to the next room. freewebnσvel.cøm

"President Owen, what is it?" Miranda said to Owen as they entered the room and sat on the sofa.

"I think you know everything about Eric."

"Did you do that thing, President Owen?" Miranda asked, subconsciously thinking that he had come to her to tell her that he had done it.

"No, it’s not me. It’s my assistant, Bruce. I think you remember him," Owen said while listening to Miranda.

"Bruce? How could it be him?" Miranda froze when she heard Owen’s words.

"Yes, it was indeed him. Of course, I didn’t believe it, but he told me about it this morning, so I thought I had to tell you about it. Maybe you didn’t notice Bruce that much, but he did do it."

Owen continued before Miranda could say anything. "I don’t know if he considered the consequences, but the moment he found out you were being blackmailed by Eric, he was indeed worried about you."

Miranda was indeed shocked by Owen’s words. When Eric had called her yesterday to question her, she had thought about Bruce, but she immediately felt that a person she had only seen a few times would not do such a thing.

So she immediately eliminated Bruce.

"President Owen, I’m sorry. This is too sudden. I really don’t know what to say." Miranda thought about it and finally said to Owen.

"It’s okay. It was indeed very sudden. I came to tell you about it because I hoped you wouldn’t be kept in the dark. You have a right to know the truth," Owen said calmly, as if he already guessed Miranda’s reaction.

"I’ve said what I have to say. I’ll get going first." Owen had achieved his purpose for coming here today, so he didn’t stay any longer and walked out.

"By the way, my assistant, Bruce, is indeed a very good person. If possible, I hope you can get to know him better." Owen paused. He suddenly thought that if Bruce heard what he had just said, he would probably jump up in joy, but the truth was that he probably wouldn’t have a chance to know.

With a helpless smile, he opened the door and walked out.

"President Owen, thank you for telling me about this. I’ll think about it." Standing at the door of the recording studio, Miranda looked up at Owen and smiled.

Owen nodded and said nothing more. He turned and walked to the side of the car.

"Bruce, this is the best I can do for you," Owen said to himself as he sat in the car and glanced at Miranda, who was still standing at the door.
