Hearing Sylvia’s words, Joan was stunned for a moment before looking at her and smiling. "Madam Sylvia, I think we have different thoughts. How do you know that this dish isn’t worth my effort? Moreover, this dish might be more suitable for me to eat."
These words were very straightforward, and Sylvia immediately understood. No wonder Joan came to the house today. In all these years, she had never come to the house that many times. Why did she happen to pass by here today?
"Joan, that’s all I have to say. You can think carefully about whether you can eat an unsuitable dish."
"Madam Sylvia, let’s wait and see." Joan smiled and turned to walk out.
Anita and Owen didn’t know what had happened in the kitchen. The two of them were still standing at the door, waiting for Mr. Jacob to return from fishing. "Dad, you’re back." Anita saw Mr. Jacob, who had just returned with a fish bucket, and hurried forward with a smile.
"Anita, Owen, why didn’t you guys tell me you were here? Come and see the fish I caught today." Mr. Jacob looked at it, and the two of them smiled.
"Daddy, there are so many fish?" Anita looked at the fish in the bucket and said in surprise. She thought Mr. Jacob had just gone out fishing to relax, but she didn’t expect there to really be so many fish.
Hearing Anita’s words, Owen smiled first and said, "You don’t know that Daddy is an expert at fishing, especially sea fishing. When we go on a vacation together in the future, Daddy can show you."
Mr. Jacob laughed a few times when he heard Owen’s words.
"Let’s go in. Mom’s getting anxious," Owen said with a smile while looking at Mr. Jacob.
"Okay, get in there. I want to show your mother what I got today." Mr. Jacob smiled when he heard Owen’s words and walked forward.
The butler had just heard the three of them talking, so he came forward early. "Sir, you have a rich harvest today." The butler took the fish bucket from Owen and smiled at Mr. Jacob.
"Yes, today’s harvest is indeed rich. Take it to the kitchen and ask the chef to make fish soup for Owen and Anita to try."
"Yes, sir." The butler nodded and headed for the kitchen with the fish bucket.
"Let’s go in and see your mother. She has been looking forward to your return for many days. You have to accompany her today," Mr. Jacob said with a smile as he looked at the two of them.
"By the way, Anita heard that you went overseas to participate in the exchange with Columbia University. You’re very impressive," Mr. Jacob said to Anita as he walked. freёwebnoѵel.com
"Yes, I went in place of our mentor. He’s not feeling well, so I went," Anita said with a smile.
"Nice. I’ve met your mentor once before. He’s a very good teacher. You can indeed learn a lot from him," Jacob thought for a moment and said with a smile.
Anita said, "Yes, my mentor is indeed very good. He taught me a lot." Mr. Jacob nodded when he heard Anita’s words.
"By the way, Owen, you have to be more concerned about Anita recently. And if you’re not busy, you can come back and visit more often." Mr. Jacob nodded at Anita and smiled at Owen.
"Well, don’t worry, Dad. We’ll be back when we have time," Owen said with a smile.
The three of them talked as they walked and soon entered the living room. "Honey, I’m back." When they entered the living room, Mr. Jacob looked around and didn’t see anyone, so he said.
"If you’re back, so be it. Why are you shouting?" Sylvia walked out of the kitchen and looked at Mr. Jacob with displeasure.
"Didn’t I tell you? I caught a lot of fish today. Did you see that?" Mr. Jacob didn’t notice Sylvia’s attitude towards him at all. He still leaned closer to her with a smile.
"I see. You’re really great. The children are all here. Can’t you restrain yourself a little?" Sylvia saw that Mr. Jacob looked happy and wanted to be praised, so she smiled helplessly.
Anita already felt a little embarrassed, but suddenly, she heard Madam Sylvia’s words and quickly lowered her head. On the other hand, Owen had seen the two of them being so loving all these years and was already used to it. So he lowered his head and walked toward Anita. "They’re always like this. Don’t mind them, but I hope we can be so loving in the future."
Anita looked up at Owen and nodded with a smile.
"Okay, the food is almost ready. Go wash your hands. We’re ready to eat," Sylvia said to Mr. Jacob.
